Ethereum is the second largest cryptocurrency according to coinmarketcap. Ethereum has a marketcap of $14.6 billion. Ethereum is used in most of the ico to raise funds and most of the tokens are ERC-20 based on ether network.

Bitcoin Cash (BCHABC) referred many times as the real bitcoin, stands at the sixth position on coinmarketcap. BCHABC has not as many uses as Ethereum have but used and accepted in many payment systems.

What do you think who will win in the long term?
 Ethereum or Bitcoin Cash (BCHABC)?
BCH can never stand as real bitcoin in as much as it is just a fork of the main BTC, ETHEREUM will also retain its position as the second largest crypto and will never give it out without a fight which they will always win due to their strong community and the team behind the project, we can see their relentless effort through the upgrade that was done recently which improved the use of the coin and gained more attention from people.

Bitcoin-cash is just hiding behind the main or actual bitcoin and very soon will become dumped.

The first place is definitely behind ethereum, since there is support for smart contracts and there are many tokens on it, and what bch offers is bitcoin replacement with small commissions.

Bitcoin cash is simply not a necessary coin. No one will use it when Bitcoin will be developed technologically.

This is a bad comparison. Bitcoin Cash can't even do what Ethereum is doing. Bitcoin Cash nothing to do with decentralized applications except for being one itself.

 Ethereum or Bitcoin Cash (BCHABC)?
Ethereum is the first of its kind decentralized world computer. It is focused on cutting edge technology, and not so much on reliability as money, therefore it is in a completely separate category.
Bitcoin Cash is the continuation of the pre-2016 bitcoin that could be used as money as once outlined by bitcoin's whitepaper. It is striving to become world money, which is a significantly bigger market with a significantly higher price potential, but also it is much more likely to fail in what it's trying to achieve.
Hope this explanation helps.

Bitcoin cash is simply not a necessary coin. No one will use it when Bitcoin will be developed technologically.
The question is, when will Bitcoin be developed technologically. LN has been in development since 2014 and it's still not working well for your average user, with some people claiming this was never the goal. Whatever your stance is with the scaling debate, Bitcoin Cash allows for small transactions to happen today, something that BTC does not. At one point it might be replaced, and it probably will, but I don't see the need for it disappearing in the next few years.

BCH is nothing but a pump and dump coin and forked from BTC, nothing huge difference. On the other hand, ETH was totally something innovative idea for that time. At some point, BCH will no longer be on top 10 even but ETH will be there for sure.

I haven't seen anything solid development for BCH as compared to ETH platform, where they are in continuous improvement of their technology. So I don't think BCH will win on this area. Are BCH developers transparent with their plans? In my opinion, Eth dev team is stronger than BCH, and they have the capability to deliver results as compared to BCH team.

ETH has its use and purpose. It became a smart contract ICO launch pad and did something that was needed in the space. BCH is an unpopular clone of bitcoin and its price comes only from the name bitcoin and that bitmain invested a lot of money to push it to where it is now. It doesn't even compare.

What's the real use and purpose of BCH? There's almost no development being done on the platform.

I really think that only ETH will win in long time, as i know and i read some article that BCH is just made by a groupe of people who want to get in front of bitcoin and just for making money without a lot of effort.
Roger Ver used his mining power to make a chain fork with help of his supporters. Bitcoin Cash is not real vision of Satoshi or true Bitcoin but Roger always shills hard BCH for making more bitcoin. What a nice way to make more Bitcoins! Create fake copy of chain in Bitcoin network and sell them for making more Bitcoin. Absolutely,no brainer.

Ethereum is the best alternative crypto to use in ICO SALES and they also have the ERC-20 which has the highest number in this community.

Though bitcoincash has many merchants in different part of the world especially japan and have ATM.

This will be a long battle, development and acceptance will decide who will be the winner.

It's a big challenge, but ETH will probably be the winner in that comparison. The BCH team is very confused and unreliable about Vitalik. This unpredictability scares potential investors and even drives away some traditional ones.

Bitcoin Cash is just a forked altcoin which was adopted by a group of greedy miners/developers.
From the market history no altcoin maintained its no.1 position for a long time, so change occurs with time. May be for a certain time duration ethereum will lead or may be after that time Bitcoin cash will take that position.

Ethereum obviously!
I find Ethereum as a very significant cryptocurrency. It was not simply a digital asset but a platform that allows others to build out other platforms on the same Ethereum blockchain. Its functional utility is just way too infinite therefore serves a bigger purpose.
While on the other hand, Bitcoin Cash being built upon the bitcoin model is primarily a digital currency. Period.

How will you see it if you haven't tried to even google it? BCH has more than 10 different wallet implementations and all of them are working on different features - Schnorr signatures, preconsensus, oracles.
Not to mention ecosystem participants such as Satoshi Dice and OpenBazaar.
Ethereum is developer-based so it needs more developers to be relevant, BCH needs to be cash and it has more than enough devs to fill in the ranks. Ethereum has interesting proposals with Plasma and PoS but they are also more risky - and if they work out, quite frankly ETH will overtake not only BCH but BTC as well. Or it will fail miserably, time will tell.

I think it is not entirely correct to compare these two coins, they are completely different. Ethereum is much more widespread and more functional, Ethereum also has a tenology of smart contracts that Bitcoin Cash does not have. Bitcoin Cash is Bitcoin's fork, which is trying to take the place of Bitcoin, artificially pumped by its creators for speculative purposes. Therefore, I believe that Ethereum is definitely better and more useful than Bitcoin Cash.

Though I don't think you can compare BCH to ETH since it has difference function.
I might be a little harsh but Bitcoin cash is a trash trust me after the "civil war" in their inner circle, the split and everything it more expose the flaw in their dev team, and their project development is too slow compared to other payment coins.

I also believe that although Ethereum has a lot of problems but, now it can return to the top 10 top coins differently with the new coin top 10 but it can shift very fast downward maybe not only bitcoincash but other coins can also be easily shifted by time ethereum is also currently able to get back up at a good price too.

It's not even true to compare the two. Ethereum will always stay on top. Bitcoin Cash is the biggest Shitcoin! I never like it and buy it!

In my opinion ethereum will win. Because ethereum platform has a good blockchain system for the dapp.
Then, this platform has already used by a lot of project.

Ethereum project has nothing to do with BITCOIN CASH that is only a pump and dump coin... if ICO market will rise again Ethereum will have a big growth again soon because community is big.

I don't know reasons why the OP started a topic with assumed race between Ethereum and Bitcoin Cash.
As someone raised opinion above, Ethereum has nothing to compete with Bitcoin Cash.
Look at their positions on CMC, marketcap, and their ecosystem.
Even some altcoins can make flippenings with Ethereum in short period of time, in general, Ethereum will stay strongly at the second position in crypto.
