but man were we really that pessimistic only a couple months ago? like 90% of us were calling below 8k.

That was really close too, it was 5 days left before I announce who will be the lucky winner and you predicted $4407 for this month end which is too far. but, that is okay.

This year I will make a Q3 and later a Q4

Also BAKKT is running (finishes this year if it doesn't launch)

And I still have 2 list games running but they only have 4 members and the other game 6 members or something that are still in to win ....

You can always provide a link to your game in my thread when the Q3 game starts

(just wanna add something but don't know what yet...)

I also think he try to find some sponsor to donate so it would be interesting to play cause of the already donated price BTC, bbut he still working a bit on it so its not a 100% but a very good possible thing

@Loyce - Very similar to what I think, it’ll be around 6 months after the next halving. We’ll see 6 figure USD valued bitcoin’s in 2021.

And mine too! I always felt 2019 was too soon, and had my own optimism banked on 2020 as the earliest. Halving was and is always going to be the definite marker. That's just the rational side.

The irrational one also wants me to accumulate as much as I can for as long as I can before we see that 6-figure (though I think 2022 instead). Other than regular sells, I'm not going anywhere for a long time.

So if this is a bull trap, bring it on

I (unfortunately) expect the "power" of each halving to be lower than the last one, because the effect on the inflation is lower each time. See this graph (with non-lineair vertical axis):

Eventually, newly mined Bitcoins will be less and less important compared to the existing supply.

@Loyce - fair point on the halving, and I have agreed much earlier in some buried thread that this halving's different from previous: it's probably the first one that everyone will have known about for a very long time, and the first one people started pricing in long ago (probably even as early as during the last bull run).

Nevertheless, the media can be trusted to spin it again. And psychologically I suppose only 6.25 BTC being mined per block would prop up the idea of "there's not much left to find". Flawed logic of course, but that's how I, as a n00b, thought about it before the last halving =p

I think this halving will still give us a somewhat parabolic price rise (6-12 months post halving).
The halving in 2024 will have less of an effect but post 2020 halving expect fireworks.

SPQRCoin will be the happiest if your chart's right. I'm not sure that it'll stay very long at $9k IF it sees another push for it this month though. 2 and a half weeks, and 3 weekends (the busiest periods for the bulls so far), if they make it to 9k this time they won't let it slide down so quickly. So we might even get a winner at a new 2019 high.
