Why ban him? His idea seems hillarious. Imagine you receive bitcointalk name of some popular bounty manager and get tons of PM that his nickname is changes and he asks to change it in the spreadsheet

Give every user who posted in this thread their own view of the forum with their own ideas implemented. Watch Meta descend into chaos (well, more chaos than usual) with everyone uber-excited about something no one else can see and calling each other blind idiots of questionable ancestry (well, more than usual).


Edit: it's quite apparent that most of the ideas so far have been disruptive or outright malicious. That's not how these pranks usually work, i.e. theymos typically doesn't try to destroy his own forum, not deliberately anyway. So to have a chance of getting our ideas implemented we need to be more subtle. For example instead of incapacitating everyone with captchas let's replace the smileys with fire hydrants, buses, and crosswalks.

Edit all the ranks, merits, trust, custom trust, post counts, coins under usernames and usernames to "theymos"

Theymos saw all forum users like him years ago, when he was a noob, not an admin, in the forum.

Switch the ranks from legendary to newbie with the same requirements to rank here in forum. I think many users will think that it's a bug or some kind of website glitch, I don't know what they will think if they saw theymos with a newbie rank status but with the same merit, lost and activity count.

I still have not understood the meanings of Thermos in your post.  

Just as Loyce explained above, theymos is quite a peculiar nickname, and if indeed a lot of times users just misspell it also a lot of times the auto correct tools a lot of posters use around here are changing the name depending on how you initially mistyped it.
On top of that, in some languages, probably some versions of those really sound better

So it's nothing surprising we have hundreds of posts with thermos, thymos, teymos, themos

On the 1st April of 2019, theymos will announce two things:
(1) He launch his first own crypto project, Theycoin, with subunit is theytoshi.
And, to have a fresh start, anyone who interested in Theycoin, please visit the Epochtalk forum, and discuss there.
The Epochtalk forum is created only for Theycoin at its first official opening day, but theymos (admin and founder of Theycoin) might consider to add more boards for bitcoin and shit altcoins.
(2) Giving the admin role to someone else. The bitcointalk forum has to make vote competition to find winners, who will be chosen at the end of 1st April 2019.
