Perhaps theymos could make a presentation that features a picture of President Reagan firing a machine gun while sitting on the back of a dinosaur with a rocket launcher strapped to his back with a tattered American flag in the background. Similar to how Senator Mike Lee did durring a speech on the Senate floor today. |

Exactly... some kind of real gawdy and difficult to tolerate layout as if it were "art".... Proven usage would be making a certain number of posts on that day, such as 5 or more, to thereby be labelled as an "April addict" for the remainder of the month. I would expect to receive such label, unless I happen to be non-forum busy on that day.. for some random and unlikely reason. Edit: After browsing through the remainder of this thread (so in my mind, I am sufficiently caught up), I thought that some of the proposed April fools changes would be very difficult to achieve beyond just making an announcement, and then if there is a kind of reversal issue, some people could become disgruntled by the joke.... In other words, it is going to be difficult to beat the 2018 april fools joke... that was a real good one (and seemingly easy to reverse). For an additional possible joke suggestion, I had thought that something like disabling all hat avatars would be great, but I just don't know if there is an easy enough algorithm to filter the type of avatars, and another problem would be to reverse the joke.. might not be easy, either. Anyhow, the ban of hat avatars premise could be that a kind of cult has established around hats, and such cult behavior takes away from forum cohesion.  Incumbent users of hats would be disallowed from employing the use of any kind of avatar for one year. |

The account will automatically get unlock on second login attempt. That's kinda boring only few members will have an experience on that. The fact that most of us are always online in which automatic login is set and always online has a check. Let's try to revise your idea and add some another feature, in which all forum members will have to login back |

You know what this forum needs? A battle royale mode of some sorts Stimulated by the topic of Hhampuz, theymos will replace all avatars and signatures in the forum with images of porn-stars and signatures from porn sites.  Forum users will have chance to enjoy it only 24 hours. As most of you probably know by now, I like to listen to the community before I do anything definitive.
I've been approached about a pornsite who may want me to run a Signature Campaign here at Bitcointalk. Now there's nothing illegal with legit porn sites and as far as I know there's nothing against promoting such sites here either but I'd still like to hear what you guys think about it, would people apply? (With good payrates people don't seem to care what they advertise but still). If anything would come up that they've been doing some shennanigans later on, could I get in trouble for marketig it here? Should I consider it in any way immoral to promote pornographic content here?
Feel free to discuss, I'd prefer it to be on topic and without multiple posts about "Your campaign, your decision" etc. One post is enough and different opinions are always welcome.
I found the image today, so theymos might announce the first merit rain drops in the forum on 1st April 2019. Why not? Merit rain drop hunters will give theymos around of applause. |
