Hey all!

This started as a company project to learn about blockchain and since we loved it so much decided to share our experiment with your community to help us learn more about cryptocurrency.

This isn't your typical "moon boy," ICO, dev tax cash grab. We actually all have great jobs but love exploring new things in our free time. Working for a tech company that is responsible for millions of users has afforded us the ability to see technology work at scale and impact lives. We want to build a community of like-minded individuals that are interested in furthering blockchain adoption.

The goal of this project is to get everyday users aware of the benefits of decentralized organizations and ledgers. This is NOT a project about getting on the latest exchange and dumping coins/tokens on the "greater fool." Please do you reply if that is your intent. We also want to make the Litebeam software (a fork of BEAM) super user-friendly so over time we can onboard as many users as possible.

Our community intends to use the wonderful work of the Beam.MW team to help promote the MimbleWimble protocol. In our experience, the launch of BEAM was quite pro and really didn't afford enthusiats or causual miners a chance to actually win a whole block or contribute significant cpu hash power to securing the blockchain. Since everyone typically has a cpu at work and some spare time, we felt it was an awesome opportunity to leverage both.

With Litebeam, our intention is to create a fun experience for everyday people at work to get ahold of crypto and learn the value of becoming their own bank (outside of Coinbase custody).

In summary, we are NOT expert programmers, traders or interested in any substantial financial gain outside covering the costs to further educate people on crypto.

In fact, we had such a great time learning to compile code, monitor cpu temps and watching blocks mature, we geared our user experience around it. So we'll offer the code, which is basically what you can find on BEAM.MW Github with a few adjustments to help with cpu mining and an increase block reward of 275 LITE. It should be fairly straightfoward to mine from the GUI (Windows & MAC) and win blocks. Keep in mind, this is for fun! So don't stress and let's get to know each other.

Let us know what you think. We are here to learn and grow with the community. Not get rich quick or engage in any financial discussions. To avoid conflict of interest with our current employer, will be remain pseudonymous.

So if you need help compiling the code, we will hangout in the discord and provide support. Also, for the first 100 people that download the source and join the discord, we will send you back some LITE to get started. We are around at the 7000 block and will use some of the crypto awarded for people that need a bit more encouragement to learn the ropes of self-guided financial freedom.

We understand this is a different type of project and is not geared towards "get rich quick" so we welcome all feedback. We hope to put some fun back into crypto mining and meet some interesting people across the globe. Thanks and hope to hear from you soon.

Question: if you're not expert programmers, what do you do at said multi-million user tech company?

The build instructions just lead to the Beam repo. Is this an oversight or is there really no source available?

for what purpose did you post fake photos on your website?

I understand correctly? Is this your team?
Do you start your project from cheating?

In a nutshell, I would prefer to say:
The era of forked coins has gone away, months ago, as well as the era of Proof of Stake/ Masternode hybrid coins.
Investors have become smarter and more knowledgeable after their own lost investments.
For now, it has become harder to fork, launch new coins and convince them to invest.

Does this community know what pseudonymous means?? It clearly states "pseudonymous" on website. Our identities were obfuscated to protect our employment situation. We didn't want to extract value by name dropping XYZ tech company. There was a personal relationship between team member and name and/or photo.

Please judge project based on merit. But it seems like everyone here is just money hungry looking for a quick buck. If you are actually interested in adoption and having some fun sharing ideas along the way, come to our discord! https://discord.gg/kga9sgg

Have a great day!  Smiley

I guess Satoshi is a scam because he isn't a young Japense man. LOL

This project is about fun. Our website says it all. This idea was NOT designed for financial gain nor will we seek exchange listing. If you do not have a concept of FUN, this isn't the community for you.

If you want to win some blocks and not be worried about price or exchange. Come join the party!

Be careful before going to scam project like above mentioned .

Now days the scam coin are coming with different types of ideas to scam in crypto market , so before going to buy or invest in crypto market check the full history of the coin or tokens then you can relasy the real face about that coins.

We don't get it guys. In initial post, we should we would like our identies to remain private. Not sure what's hard to understand. Whats the difference between a stock photo and an avatar that everyone loves to use on these sites?

Anyhow, we will continue our project. Its experimental and fun. Come check out if interested.

Oh, you want your identities to remain private, but you steal someone else's identity and use as your team (most of them are not stock photos)?  Stealing people's identity is a crime.

It seems to me that these people just lost all boundaries and do not understand that trust cannot be built on deception.
And once again want to acknowledge your excellent work on the disclosure of scam. Keep it up!

And furthermore, can you prove we don't have a connection or permission to use any photo we want.

For starters, its clearly states on the website that this project is for FUN not financial gain and the team wants to keep pseudo-anonymity for career purposes.

So your claims are unfounded and you are just getting pleasure from bashing honest experimentation from crypto fans who want to participate in the community.

This is why one of the reasons mass adoption is far away.
