Gambling is never been a profession nor a thing to be considered as a source of income.It is really impossible on anyone's ears but the fact
there are gamblers who do live with gambling profits specially to those poker and other card game professional players but most of the time

Gambling is about luck. No matter how good we are, we won't be able to win it all the time. Depending on gambling activities to meet daily needs is very incorrect. Casino gambling or dice-site gambling is not a recommended way to earn money! Yes, you can earn a good amount of money if you are lucky enough on a certain day but there's no guarantee for the same! You will either make money or loose money! So as you have said, gambling is not a great way to earn money to meet your daily expenditure! Rather I would suggest you to trade in cryptocurrency. People who gambles well and earn a lot of profit are those people who wins big amount but not everytime so if they want to use that to their daily expenses plus gambling expenses, the fund will be impossible to last for a year depending on the amount.
