In as much as I so much have a desire too for a stable market, a part of me would still go with a volatile market, volatile coins are more profitable especially for traders because of the high swing in prices, while the stable one is quite good for a long term investors.

some people believe there is a 4-year cycle of bitcoin, where each cycle in the 4th year there will be a large price increase in bitcoin, and this will most likely affect altcoins. from some news I heard, this cycle will occur in 2020-2021 (as happened in 2017), and this will have an impact on the year before the cycle occurs, which is 2019. hopefully this will have a positive impact on the price of cryptocurrencies in 2019 .

It is one of key points. If someone really have reasons to invest in crypto previous months or years, they should have clear and solid reasons to invest in crypto this year when the market already bottomed out, and rallied well from its bottoom.
Another plus point to decide investing in crypto is the coming halving of bitcoin in May of 2020.
Generally, I don't see reasons to stop me to invest in crypto, especially this year.
