This is what I fear if giving my identity to a scam project, I once read an article that a scam project selling identity at a price of 4 $ to the dark web is very dangerous isn't it. Be more careful to follow the airdrop now friends.

yes you have to be wiser to do kyc because not all projects can maintain your data properly, especially on a scam project. they can sell identity as you say, so you need to find the purity of a project before doing kyc

Providing IDs to strangers or to platforms that don't have a working product or prof that has a product or consept that helps crypto currency users is dangerous! It is better to get to know our ICOs better and find out if their project is true. I have also seen many Passport Ids for sale on social media and this is one of the alarming ways that terrorists can be used.

I feel the same way with the KYC bounty system, I mean at that time I joined a project that requires participants to do KYC to redeem project tokens, otherwise I cannot receive prizes. but in the end I was fooled and didn't get a prize token after I finished KYC.

There is one thing I have realized from my experience with KYC for bounties. Almost all the projects I have provided my personal information to them failed to even get listed on exchanges and the project dies off. Surprisingly, those that didn't require KYC paid me and the project is truly developing. My point is, am beginning to think those project requesting hunters to go through KYC are just in for their information to trade and do not have any intentions to develop their crypto project so let's be vigilant about whom we carelessly give our details to, for some peanuts...May God bless our hustle and
Honestly, i have the same experienced that i have been submitting my informations on the wrong projects which we all hope that they will not used it in illegal activities like scam because we our the one's who will get all the blame, that is why i learned my lesson that i should not trust and get fooled by projects who requires KYC.

I don’t participate in campaigns that initially requires KYC. But now this requirement is founding in almost every bounty. It’s worse when after several weeks or months after work the team requires you to go through KYC.Even worse, when the KYC is rejected as a reason for the allegedly poor quality of the photo. And  after then really pity for the time and efforts that are spent of the project and personal data too.

It’s better not to not send your documents to someone and transfer some kind of KYC, it seems to me that bad projects simply sell our data to scammers, so it’s better to study the project competently and think a few times

if for bounty campaign i think is normal because to minimze scammer join and take part on the campaign, i'm really prefer to send my personal identity to trusted Bounty Management Service (if the team project hire them), because I feel more secure in the security of my identity

Yes, KYC should be add before we start to work, not when the payment start we have to complete KYC.
So, we'll know before we start to work if we are accepted. So we won't dissapointed at the end if our KYC is rejected

If the project is requiring KYC first before the bounty finished the bounty will definitely have low participants. that's why they usually put KYC at the end of the bounty which also to reduce the amount of people who can withdraw their rewards that's just a trick after all.
those kind of shady project is really a pain in the ass for some people, some investors will also get their money trapped if the project put the KYC verification after the funding is done. That's why a project should always put KYC first if they really serious about their project.
Personally i'm not against KYC but it's sometimes a huge gamble towards our ID because we're practically handing out our data to stranger.

It's not fair if they ask KYC at the end of the bounty campaign because no one want to give their personally data to stranger to get a little money. All of requirements must be showed at the first post of the bounty manager to make a deal with bounty hunters.

As a bounty hunter, I've also experienced this. For example the Coinmetro project.
Coinmetro requires that bounty hunters upload KYC up to 2 times. In the end, I gave up, because the process was too difficult.

i agree with you, indeed the bounty manager should say it from the beginning before the bounty campaign starts.

if the participant agrees with kyc, the participant will continue his work as a bounty hunter. if the bounty manager says when the bounty campaign ends, participants will feel like cheated and forced to do kyc. because if they don't do it, their work will be a waste of time.

Bounty campaigns sometimes need to eliminate participants who commit fraud by doing KYC and I also often do KYC on some bounty campaigns that I follow. Sometimes the KYC process makes us worry, but in my opinion there is nothing to worry about as long as the company is good because they will maintain the confidentiality of the data

if the payment is worth it might not be a problem for me, but if it's only worth $ 5 is it worth it bro?
why do they refuse if the data we provide is complete?
if you already smell scam on the project just leave it, there are still many bounty projects that do not have to use kyc to get their tokens, even the results are greater than filling kyc.

The issue is not with the idea of KYC but the project hosting the KYC. How authentic is the project doing KYC for? How is the project going to handle the KYC details of participants? These are some of the questions participants should ask themselves before giving out their identity documents out to projects.

Thats why its better to think before participating in a bounty. Is the projects realistic to be achieved, identities of the persons involved, are they collecting large amount of money. Participants should build their standards to not get disappointed since these people are asking for your identities.

Most of these projects come in just for information collection and retailing. Sometimes these companies from no where will be spamming your inbox with unnecessary messages and you will be wondering where they got your email from and how they were able to know you are crypto literate so might need that message. Friends let's gsurd our information

i agree with you that it happens to much that after filling in all KYC details , the project did not come of the ground or the project failed , it could be dangerous to give all that info so let's be care full to which project we give that sensitive info

Projects are meant to be invested in without requiring personal details, but for some reasons, which sometimes might be seen as the as the encouragement of centralization in what should be purely decentralized. KYC is not mandatory in some projects and I have seen a lot of them succeed. Which means that KYC is just unnecessary.
