It is not that difficult mate, provided we understand what it takes for patience to be active and work. The only problem we have is that many of us do not follow the right path that will make being patience easy for us.

 Imagine that you have $1000 in your pocket, and you decide to invest or trade with 10% of it based on what you can afford to lose, you cannot compared the patience of this person to someone that is greedy enough to invest 90% of the money, when you and I know that there is no way tension will not set in with that, so that is one of the many reasons why patience becomes something difficult for us.

Panic selling is where most whales are waiting for us to get in, we should see it this way that when we panic sell, we are simply empowering someone for the future, we are indirectly packing our wealth and transferring it into someone’s account.

Being patience is just a part of a successful traders here. I think the op is even lucky that he got something from it, up to 20% even.
Sometimes having patience can do more damage than not having patience, cause there are times you may continue to have patience and what you expect is not what you will be getting cause the price might not go up again and instead will be going down.

I have seen people that have lost everything because they were trying to have patience. And most of the times this happens to people that are buying and trading small coins in the market. If you buy a top coin, there is still hope that you can still receiver what you have lost.

Patience is a virtue of life, not just of trading. Though it's an integral part of the crypto industry sometimes one might miss opportunities all in the guise of waiting/patience. I have missed opportunities of selling early certain coins I bought at ICO in 2017 only for the coins to dump and I have been bag-holding them since then. So, it's a two sides of a coin thing. We have seen lots of members here complaining that they didn't wait enough before booking their profits because they don't have patience.

But it's really hard to have this mentality, I'll give one example, last week I try to buy something online, just so hype so I order, but after a week, that item went into sale for 20%, damn I was so mad at myself for not waiting enough. Patience is only appropriate at the growth stage and if it is patient in this bear market, the profit is almost impossible because the downward trend makes people feel bad and the panic sale can easily happen. Most people only care about immediate profits and when they reach the selling price they will find ways to sell all that coin. In my opinion, patience is good but proper consideration is needed because altcoin is very volatile and things often happen very quickly so you can become richer or poorer.
