Venezuela needs help and I think this is a good intervention. I don't know why some international bodies like UN are so silent on the political instability in the country. Until recently, you would only hear the interest from Trump and the USA government. This is a good intervention from the Russian government and I hope it yields good results. The citizenry of Venezuela have suffered a lot and this intervention should definitely bring smiles on the face of the ordinary people.

Each country have their own agenda, political and economical interest in Venezuela.

I don't usually get excited when it comes to the kind of topics but Russia is doing the right thing.

Russia is one of the strongest nations of all.

One of the main reason why Russia is trying to help Maduro is that Venezuela is one of the largest known oil reserves.
Moscow also plays a big role in this issue as they are trying to dispatch military personnel and equipment and is acting to offset the United States sanctions by shipping Venezuelan crude to Indra for processing.

Being poor has a lot to do with making poor choices.  Like when I see somebody using food stamps and buying cigarettes.  Or having their 6th child from the 4th daddy.  Capitalism rewards work.  Socialism penalizes it.

You are what ignorant as to what is happening here aren't you? The US and China are already in the early stages of war. The US and Russia have been engaging in proxy war for some time too. Of course there is! In one system you have fed workers, even Marx etc mention the capitalists will give them the bare minimum for them to keep working the next day and keep "exploiting" them. But not here, they are quitting the state owned companies TO eat (do something else, often technically "illegal" or outright illegal).

What Maduro is doing is not even State capitalism, no one knows what it is but whatever it is, doesn't work. He keeps using the socialist rhetoric though. He DID had a Leninist mentor, and certainly Lenin at some point talked about destroying the currency to defeat capitalism, which is why some people think he does it on purpose. Unfortunately the victims are not the "capitalists", those wealthy enough simply move their business elsewhere, only the poor cannot go anywhere.

It is not the same when you have "underpaid" workers that can eat, vs underpaid workers that can't. A ruined economy doesn't benefit anyone, but that's precisely what he and his close people do. Some claim they act like a criminal gang, since they are the ones getting the most benefits while the population is suffering by their mega exploitation known as hyperinflation.
