Hello guys I just wanted to discuss - *DO WE NEED BITCOIN GOVERNMENT?* Let's just put it in a simple way Bitcoins is being harassed by the governments , the banks , the private sector , the bulls , the investors and it's just something that we cannot control. What if we had a government for Bitcoins to support it , to legalize it like some normal currency , off course while keeping it's main points strong and not converting that into fiat. What if it was accepted into the normal currency system? I would like to say that I understand already that it's not just a currency , it's a store house of value , it's more than that, but integrating this currency 2.0, would not only increase it's stability but would also give the users rights. And to do all this we need something like a Bitcoin government , which will support it ,legalize it , purse the lawsuits , give the users rights . It will make Bitcoin something that every fiat worshipping government and off course banks and all , will more or so accept ( forcefully though) but let's face it ,it will be still better than the dictatorship in North Korea and no one says anything about it -_- why would this matter to them ? As long as we are not Harming others. We just need a integrated environment because let's face it there are 111 out of 251 regions where Bitcoins is legal and to make it global everlasting integrated crypto currency , we do need all of these 251 regions to agree to this ( if not all then 90% the least ) If you need a bitcoin government it means bitcoin for the people and then it should be centralized to govern it and who is going to control it? I guess Bitcoin is created to make people enjoy the financial freedom without thinking of obligations from the controlling government and since many governments around the world see its potential they want to regulate it and regulating it means to govern it.

I really doubt they will legalize cryptocurrency without trying to control it. I think it is much better we use Bitcoin the way it was meant to be used. It was meant to be used person-to-person or peer-to-peer, no middlemen or central bank

We already have heard the news about states in some countries that they were accepting bitcoin for tax payments. In that case, they are eyeing for the adoption of crypto as a whole because there's a usecase that's being applied and it works for some. On the side of the gov't, they can convert it quickly to fiat if they wishes to do so and they don't want to keep it as a crypto. That's why there are some payment processors that allow this to happen.

Do you mean by coin made by government ? They can do anything on it
But if the government want to control crypto, it will break decentralized paradigm and for me it's not want people want when they want to use crypto

Legalizing bitcoin in government is not easy because there will be differences of opinion about bitcoin, but I don't care about that because the most important thing is I can still use bitcoin. in my country it also does not legalize bitcoin but is allowed to use it without harming the government or other people, and I will use it well as long as it is not strictly prohibited.

How do you set it up? Do you need a President or Prime Minister to run your proposed government, and/or Senate or Congress in order to deliberate/pass laws about Bitcoin? Could you please clarify what you mean by the government here?

Then how did Japan made bitcoin as legal currency to use in their country? We should experiment it as the product or scheme for some time. Then after test on passing bill and you can decide the marketplace acceptance or something. You may know the panic things in USA, they don't want other currencies to replace the usages of USD.

Creating any structure to promote the use of cryptocurrency is absolutely not necessary. It will be a virtually useless structure without any authority. Anyway, any questions on the territory of specific states will need to be addressed through the appropriate authorities of these states. Moreover, it will be impossible to influence state bodies. Over time, the states themselves will establish not only the rules of cryptocurrency circulation on their territory, but also conclude international agreements regarding all issues of its circulation.

I never heard about a bitcoin government before. Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency, it's a most valuable cryptocurrency & trusted also. If government create his own crypto then I think it's will be more popular but the question is if government create his own crypto then what's happen with others cryptocurrency? I don't think it's necessary to government create his own crypto in this time. It's maybe good thing if government create his own crypto in future.

I think any government in the future is going to be a pro-bitcoin one, because it will be more like to be a pro-internet or pro-smartphone government currently. As for a government whose main goal would be supporting Bitcoin, I don't think we need one. As @Lucius has rightly pointed out, the real power of Bitcoin is in millions of people around the world supporting it. We don't need a government forcing others to respect this great currency.

Any structure that stands above Bitcoin and that will manage it somehow makes it one step closer to centralization. And who and how will act on behalf of Bitcoin? Any government created by the community will have no real power in the territory of specific states. All this is an absolutely unnecessary and useless structure. We do not need another government. It is necessary that the states lalizovat cryptocurrency on acceptable conditions.

We need governments to accommodate cryptocurrency investors, but bitcoin does not need a government. We need the government to step back and allow people to choose which money they would rather use. The government should play a role in eliminating fraud and abuse.

No, we don't need one, because Bitcoin is decentralized and unregulated if we will establish one then it's not decentralized anymore, people will ask KYC and besides some goverment are not against it, here in our country we have an exchanger that is fully supported by our central bank.
Well but if government does accepts it by asking for some KYC and taxes which will make it regulated than it would be ok to accept it as being some government controlled currency. As long it stays with obvious and accepted control by us (the users) following some particular rules. I believe we would be fine with some kind of relation between normal users and the government.

The cryptospace does not need any government to rule over Bitcoin. Consider all the dictating that are being meted out to us by most governments with the use of fiat currency. Do you think we want to be in such situation all over again? Well they can decide never to legalize bitcoin globally, the cryptospace would still use it for their transactions and i think that alone is enough to get us going other than putting the authority back in the hands of the government again.

I agree. People are not perfect and that's why we shouldn't depend on their decisions. The beauty of Bitcoin is that a miner can have good or bad intentions, it doesn't matter. Human factor is not only minimized but eliminated completely in this system, and that's why no government for keeping order and justice is needed. A number of nodes can be run by Satan himself, and yet the only thing they can do is contributing to the security of the network.

a bitcoin government? decentralized doesn't mean much to you, does it? also, if ever there was a government set up for bitcoin, the people within it would be under pressure by other governments to hand over control, shut down, or do something that would absolve bitcoin, as it takes away from the power of local government fiat.

Whenever a government is formed initially they used to raise voice for the common people. When days pass this will slowly start to go low and the high profiled people in the government will starts to increase his personal earning through corruption and other forms. When similar government is formed to support and help with legalities on other governments it will loose its uniqueness and people will fight to be the leader and several unwanted complications in the name of bitcoin will take place.

When you say government means there must be someone to govern?so who would that be?we are here because of anonymity and decentralization but if we will allow this proposal from yours then everything will turns out nothing because we will be back on what we are in past?from the government that we leave behind when we decide to enter and invest in cryptocurrency

Yes, of course, the government needs a bitcoin. Because a government is governed by a systematic order, the Bitcoin government also handled the work properly. Different types of banks control this Bitcoin and there is a possibility of a run-up. But if there is a specific government system for Bitcoin, its legitimacy will increase considerably. Bitcoin users will benefit from most of this. So Bitcoin needs the government to ensure the right and easy use of Bitcoin.
Thank You
