Bitcoin wasn't created for centralization, control by government means centralized. And it would not happen. Government only could accept bitcoin against local currency which is already on going some countries. It will take time for accept more countries. Bitcoin volatility is the main issue why governments aren't accepting. Who will bear loss if price dropped and if government hold huge amount of bitcoin? So government/banks have to bear this loss. Probably that's the reason why banks and governments aren't encourage to accept bitcoin as a currency. However, hope someday we will see bitcoin accepted all over world.

Tha's the point that once the government are able to have their Bitcoin they will have the full control on the adopters. They will manipulate their ways in in order to enslave the adopters. We don't need government Bitcoin as we are okay with what is currently on ground {Bitcoin}. Bitcoin is decentralized and that of the government will be centralized.
Yeah it's longshot but let's be realistic here. A government based on crypto as it's only currency is not going to be something happening in future. Crypto will remain as a cultish following and people are going to follow it because they see a future in it and thus a reason to follow it. What another country may propose to do may not seen feasible and "good" to another country. Manipulation comes after that acceptance.

This is hardly a good idea. Because if the government means the bitcoin will be managed. Do we need this? I think that most likely not.
of course this is not good, because bitcoin is decentralized, if indeed bitcoin is regulated and held by the government then decentralization will disappear. of course we don't need that. there is a negative and positive impact. but I see the positive side that when Bitcoin can be regulated by the government it will make the Bitcoin Position much better and can be recognized so that Bitcoin will be much more stable.

Hello guys I just wanted to discuss - *DO WE NEED BITCOIN GOVERNMENT?* Let's just put it in a simple way Bitcoins is being harassed by the governments , the banks , the private sector , the bulls , the investors and it's just something that we cannot control. What if we had a government for Bitcoins to support it , to legalize it like some normal currency , off course while keeping it's main points strong and not converting that into fiat. What if it was accepted into the normal currency system? I would like to say that I understand already that it's not just a currency , it's a store house of value , it's more than that, but integrating this currency 2.0, would not only increase it's stability but would also give the users rights. And to do all this we need something like a Bitcoin government , which will support it ,legalize it , purse the lawsuits , give the users rights . It will make Bitcoin something that every fiat worshipping government and off course banks and all , will more or so accept ( forcefully though) but let's face it ,it will be still better than the dictatorship in North Korea and no one says anything about it -_- why would this matter to them ? As long as we are not Harming others. We just need a integrated environment because let's face it there are 111 out of 251 regions where Bitcoins is legal and to make it global everlasting integrated crypto currency , we do need all of these 251 regions to agree to this ( if not all then 90% the least ) Well, still bitcoin has no government but bitcoin is a live and going very well, So my question is, Why we need Government for Bitcoin? Bitcoin has spend a long time without government so in future it will be spend without government. Also it is very difficult to choose bitcoin government, in all over the world how one decide to bitcoin government?

I think there is no bitcoin government, and if there is a bitcoin government, is it able to overcome this because the bitcoin price cannot be ascertained whether the government is able to solve it, by including bitcoin as a normal currency that is often used by their citizens, I think the bitcoin government won't be able to deal with all this

Whether that is a positive side or not is still speculation. People in the world prefer to think optimistically about things that are going to help them and opposite for those they don't like. While you being a bitcoin enthusiast is bullish others are not. Most of the people in this forum hate their governments and tend to think negatively of those. It can be both good and bad considering how they use and manipulate it. Overall I think governments don't have time for things like crypto because they have to run a country.

That is, you are proposing to create a cryptocurrency management, which we constantly oppose and what we remain of the states. Are you suggesting that we destroy cryptocurrency decentralization? And this is practically impossible to do, since such a body is always part of the market participants will not recognize and will consider it illegitimate. Who will represent such a body and on what basis?

Positive impact bitcoin be regulated by government and we will see its price will goes up drastically but you should forget something i.e TAX, I was upset with tax regulations used by the government because it's very burden us. Government charge a tax for every transaction that we made with bitcoin and I guess it's not fair. This thing which can make me doesn't like government, sometimes I have an idea to make a country which is its citizen are bitcoin user or crypto users although it's impossible.

"Bitcoin" and "goverment" cannot go together in the same sentence. It's like centralization and decentralization. Government wants control over anything while bitcoin offers complete freedom. That's why until today, cryptocurrencies are having trouble passing the walls that the government is making to reach complete adoption. Bitcoin, Blockchain and all cryptocurrencies are more advanced technology that will benefit the people, but not the government, you simply cannot control a decentralized ledger technology because it is made to be that way.

I will surely dis agree when we will have an plebiscite about this governance around bitcoin because for sure many people like me will hate having this
Imagine that we are here because of the privacy,we are here to leave the third party interfering and now another form will be here?
I did transfer my bank account to crypto years ago, because I’m tired of dealing with their self beneficiaries, and now here we go again?no way

Instead, I think that there might be pretty less countries/governments who can legally accept bitcoins. Now, talking about bitcoin government, it does not really sound that effective. Bitcoins are been developed using the decentralized networks which would never let any individual/firm entangle with the day-to-day bitcoin or any other coin transaction which would make it impossible to launch a "Bitcoin Government" as they would never track each and every transaction and would end up failing. What I think is that none of the government should try to entangle with bitcoins to keep them growing rapidly.

For my own thoughts,I believe yes we need because this is the only reason that governments from all over the world might consider accepting cryptocurrency and trust that we are not a scam of a threat to their economic
For how many years of struggles still we had been declined and the best example is the ETF approbations that has been denied for us for how many times now
So if we will be having a government that will handle everything for the sake of all cryptonians then we will surely be adapted

Do you really think that forming a bitcoin government can protect us from spams and scams such as hacking, etc. I do not really think it could happen as even the centralized funds which are been monitored by the governments are been hacked or lost and even the government cannot take any major action against it so forming a government would not resolve these issues. Instead peoples who are been linked with cryptos should try to be more developed and aware about each risk faced into the decentralized world. There hardly is any option which can make our funds safe from hackers as hackers might be the one's who are most close to the technology.

In my opinion it doesn't make any sense. What may happen is a government adopt a friendly instance over bitcoin. What means this government will endorse politics that will benefit bitcoin and its users in the country. As we see here, a big worry about bitcoin are the scams and hacking attempts. These issues are responsability of the security agents. Virtual crimes also go punished like physical crimes, there is no difference. We don't need a bitcoin government to raise security in crypto space, the currently laws just need to work how they are supposed to.

There could be a central authority to monitor the crypto market in the future in every major countries if they are planning to make it legal but i really do not think that a collective central authority is possible, there are many aspects to this, it is very difficult to have a long lasting relation between countries because of economic and other reasons and for everyone to form a frame work to monitor everything is not a realistic situation in my opinion.

You can make as many regulating bodies to control the bitcoin, but you will never succeed. Well they can still tax you and obligate you to report everything you do on how you got your bank transactions balance from crypto and so on. There are some cases where if you don't report those as a company you might end up with fines or even jailed. Still i dont think it's the solution for their own problems with hackers and money laundering.

the government are already familiar with the technology I doubt they'd need to be facilitated. anyway, people came to bitcoin at first because of the uniqueness of the technology which intrigue a lot of people they were also attracted by the thought of being anonymous and the technology not being in control by the government which would give them freedom to what ever transaction they may it be Good or Bad.
