Jenny et al. Please address the 20 or so sockpuppets I mapped among Bytecoin supporters - many connected to the Bytecoin team as well. If you don't, I will just keep researching you and publish all discrepancies I can find. You are after all involved in a USD 700M project.

I have never seen you deny the sockpuppets. I have never seen you denounce them either.

https://medium.com/@bdratings/bytecoin-puppets-among-us-7381db79c468

Like your research, can you do the same for the source code?

The source code is solid to my knowledge. See this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=740112.0

There are other aspects of the coin that are highly dubious.

Thanks, While doing your research if you come across questions about the code let us know. That should be of interest too.

Yea that might be true, but I am more concerned about someone dipping their hands in my pocket. I am trying to run away from that. I looked at many coins and a lot of them have questions. For now I put in bytecoin what I can afford to loose. Instead of smoking a pack of cigarettes a day, do half take the other half and gamble. I would love the devs to stay anonymous, no one to squeeze.
One day it might be used to do commerce, who knows

Don't you think that 184 470 000 000 BCN total supply is too much for a big price growth?

If used in commerce no, a bytecoin is a bytecoin what can it buy.
You want to speculate, to me its the same it values what you want to pay for it.

I don't think you have to worry about malicious code. The worry from my part is that the evidently shady Bytecoin team can get hold of your money by some neat marketing/social engineering. We know they don't address the vast number of Bytecoin sockpuppets. They never properly addressed rethink-your-strategies long post either. That should tell you how unscrupulous they are.

Based on the technology we can't know who owns what, and if my math is correct there is less than 2 billion on exchanges. That might make it look bad, but this is the grand daddy, as cryotnote goes you are not going to know if it is really fairly distributed. There is an element of trust that you are going to have to afford to it.
if they (by some neat marketing/social engineering) your research and others like you will keep us on our toes or keep an eye on our pocket.

Give your thoughts on digital notes.

I think you are wrong here
". They never properly addressed rethink-your-strategies long post either. "
i think you need to use google better and find more facts before post false accusations.
I am sure for a pdf where there contra all the  accusations you mentioned about.

i never saw a article about vegre how it get hacked few weeks ago.... and devs try to keep that quiet... those are clean real facts, devs knew about the vulnerability they had, but after all it happened they tried to shutup the person who tried to be honest and shopw what is going with verge... where are your facts ? and why verge is not big scam right now ? why no one says devs let hackers premine verge for a long time now, and just before they got their investor someone just went too abusive with the timestamp mine hack... this is sad  really

and even there is no single proof to your story, there is new team, even if they are trying to be anonymous i understand why, at least i can think of 10 reasons, and one of them is all the shit talk and pressure they get if they go public.

I read that PDF you are talking about. It is exactly what I mean when stating that the whole issue has not at all been properly addressed. Have you read it? It is not a rebuttal - it's a joke.

Have you read it? It is not a rebuttal - it's a joke.

the pdf months ago, near half  Smiley  maybe i will try to read it again...

but reading rethink your strategies also sounded like a huge joke to me.

All his investigation means nothing like there is no proof to any of his ideas, he could just fabricated all sound more real and beautiful. but after all - zeo proven facts...

except i dont know if its even true that they changed the whitepappire date ? whats the big problem with that ? whitepaper came from TOR, tor.....  and the rest all just fantasies with 0 proof. Just the way it sounded to me.....

all his investigation could be fairy tale  for the donations ?
many people will do it...
i am not good at story writing, but why not spend few months fabricting something  and get some donations in return to fud someone somewhere...

sorry i also have doubts to not get scamed like the peple giving you free ether... but as you see - world is just like this, the person who is scamming with ether, could be rethink-your-strategies...

zero proof to all this stories, his, mine, just sound like big talks to me..

and what makes this coine scam ? what not makes other coins scam ? this does not sound fair to me... but thats my opinion on the case. you have yours. and it will be good if someone from the top guys address this better because the same article is cloning every week...

And now remember my words:  Bytecoin  2018 = $3 - $7

Wow, nice effort to lift up Bytecoin. However, please look at the chart and be realistic
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bytecoin-bcn/
Bytecoin's all time high is a bit above $0.02, so I don't think it can reach $3-$7 this year.

No it wasn't this is a fraud. Backdating was used to hide the 80% fraudulent premine.

Surprisingly enough, Dash is also a fork of Bytecoin

No it isn't. Dashcoin was/is (not sure if it is still active) a fork of Bytecoin. Dashcoin and Dash are not the same.

Bytecoin vs. Bitcoin price analysis.

when i had 1 BTC, i had 1/21.000.000 "Total BTC"
1 BTC Now is $8.777,55 usd.
https://coinmarketcap.com

1 BCN Now is $0,004694 usd.
But...
Quote
"in my country . & , can be backwards for numbers & decimals, what matter is the amount, decimals only has 1 symbol."

According to:
https://bytecoin.org/about/technical-documentation
Quote
Total coins: 18,446,744,073,709,551,616 atomic units.

According to Coinmarketcap.com ...
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bytecoin-bcn/

Max BCN Supply:
184,470,000,000 BCN

Max BTC Supply:
21,000,000 BTC

BCN to BTC Ratio:
878416384462.36:1
or
8784.28:1 "scam believers Ratio."

so: 1/21.000.000 BCN is:
878,416,384,462.3596 BCN "according to Atomic Units"
or
8784.2857 BCN "according to Scam Believers."
x Price in USD.
=
$4,123,286,508.66 "Non-Scam Believers."
or
$41.23 "Scam Believers."

as you can see "the real price of 1/21.000.000 BCN"
Coins should Not be compared to relative price but also to same % in total volume.

it´s Like the riddle:
what weights more?
1 kilogram of Gold or 1 kilogram of Cotton.?

------------------------------
Next analysis:
¿How difficult is to make: 1 BTC vs. 1/21.000.000 BCN in same amount of time?
current conditions & difficulty,
¿how big is the investment.?

according to NiceHashMining Calculator:
1 Month:
1x GTX 1060 6GB does:
0.00351914 BTC RAW "Not deducting power bill."
or
0.00204404 BTC "deducting electric bill."

https://www.nicehash.com/profitability-calculator

to make 1.0 BTC in 1-Month is required:
284x GTX 1060 6GB aprox. RAW.
or
489x GTX 1060 6GB aprox. compensating for power bill.

to make 1/21.000.000 BCN "same as 1 BTC in % of total volume":
878,416,384,462.36 BCN "Atomic Units"
or
8784.28 BCN "according to scam believers"

BCN Power Bill is lower because CryptoNight v6 algorithm is less power hungry / more efficient at 100% load, than All other PoW algorithms so far.
so:
284x GTX 1060 6GB makes 127.800~142.000H/s Yes between 128K ~ 142KH/s. with CryptoNight v6 algorithm "XMR, BCN, etc..."

How much BCN makes the same Power?
according to http://democats.org/pool/?name=bytecoin
calculator:
5,496.3242 BCN/day

according to: https://bytecoin.uk/
calculator:
5624.96 /day (est..

this month has 30 days:
= 164,889 BCN ~ 168,748 BCN
x Price Usd.
$0.004694 x
=
$774usd. ~ $792usd.

that means true Bitcoin price is deflated: 11x Times the Same Hash Power, in BCN RAW.
that also means that price of Bytecoin has headroom per BCN, up to the same BTC Mining profit/ Hash Ratio.
$8777.55 / 168,748 BCN = $0.O52usd.
Today BCN is $0.OO47 usd.

if BCN price goes higher than $0.O52usd* has killed Bitcoin. LOL. Jajajajajaja
*if BTC price stays the same."

Introduced back in July 2012, Bytecoin has cemented its place among the promising altcoins for its high-end security policies. With thousands of traders showing interest in this project, it’s not hard to determine why there are so many Bytecoin forks today. What set it apart from its other peers are its highly nuanced security policies: Bytecoin (BCN) is not only regulated by CryptoNote algorithm, it is also the first coin to adopt this technology.

Given the fact that BCN is regulated by the crypto-world’s finest algorithm, it’s not hard to imagine why some of the most vied-after currencies are actually a Bytecoin fork. The king of the dark web Monero, which is widely recognized for its anonymity, is also a fork of Bytecoin. Surprisingly enough, Dash is also a fork of Bytecoin. The CryptoNote algorithm, which has been developed to offer the security of all crypto transactions, is not only acknowledged for its security features but also for its resistance towards ASIC. Much to traders convenience, Bytecoin can be mined by anyone and from anywhere just with the help of a regular computer.

Bytecoin (BCN) (which gave birth to Monero (XMR), Aeon(AEON),  Dash(?) and others (see the diagram below)), a rising altcoin known for its anonymity, is making a comeback in the market. This can be a direct outcome of the controversies generated by Monero (XMR), especially due to the frequent mining scandals. With a steady rise in the price, BCN is definitely regarded among the most promising currencies of 2018, despite its unpopularity among the masses.

source: https://globalcoinreport.com/bytecoin-features-among-the-top-crypto-gainers-this-week/

And now remember my words:  Bytecoin  2018 = $3 - $7

All the points stated by you are correct but it doesn't mean that the coin will be successful. The efforts shown by the team in solving any issues and for the development of BCN are mainly responsible for the downfall of this coin.
Check Monero. Even though it is a fork of BCN, it is the most promising project right now. Why? Because of the community and the team.

Bytecoin can't even deal with the current issue of ASIC miners. Most of the coins have already forked. And right now, they are concerned about their AMA next month.

We must give them time, it has been less than a year since they took over the development of Bytecoin. I think we'll see the results at the end of the year. I think that aiming $ 1 = BCN is not delusional.

Bytecoin is the elder brother (or "father" ?) for such coins (see below).
Bytecoin has been forked more than 25 times.

source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bytecoin_(cryptocurrency)

Forum sliding much?

That chart is a fraud (as well as the wikipedia page, which is heavily infested with internet trolls who delete any accurate information about the history), all part of the campaign to legitimize Bytecoin and hide the history of the faked blockchain and 80% hidden premine.

Anything prior to late 2013 or early 2014 (which includes the original claimed Bytecoin launch date as well as the paladincoin and buddhacoin forks, is phony.

If there is anyone other than paid trolls reading and posting on this thread (which most certainly does not include most of the last couple of pages), be aware that this is one of the most notorious and persistent scams in the history of cryptocurrencies.
