What is good wallet to store my coins without having of loading whole chain for last few years ? Is there any way or let my coins on exchanges and wait for the fork ? I have tried few wallets like coinomi but there is no support. I would like to know if there is some portable kind wallet to move the coins for the peace of mind.

There is no portable wallet yet, unfortunately, but we would recommend the Bytecoin desktop wallet that you can find in out download section on our main web site: https://bytecoin.org/downloads The newest version of the wallet has shown itself to be the safest place for users to store there coins. If you would prefer not to download the whole blockchain you can connect your wallet through a remote node, while not the safest means of storing your coins it is still an option for users that would prefer not to download the blockchain. If you are interested in that you can read more about it here: https://blog.bytecoins.world/guide/remotenode.html

We plan to contact the exchanges in advance with the new software so everything will be ready to go to start the hardfork. The team is hoping to make the process as easy and streamlined for all of our users.
So glad I dumped this coin when it recently mooned, if the devs/owners cannot be trusted to provide the general public with the exact size of premine then to me it is a shady as fuck project.  Good luck on your next pump n dump exercise.

We would recommended that you completely uninstall the previous version of the wallet and install the new version. New synchronization is not required.

For those interested,i wonder why none of the bytecoin fanboys already announced their upcoming ama with some
guy from bytecoin. at least a little sign of hope while their nearly one-month-maintenance shutdown and their bot-like posts on reddit  Cheesy Grin Kiss

https://twitter.com/i/status/1023933856171352064

Which AMA are you you talking about? We would like to do one in the future but it probably won't be until after the hardfork is released on August 31st because our team is quite occupied getting ready for that.

If you are referring to Emil, he is one of our major supporters who’s using his own enthusiasm and resources to move and motivate Bytecoin users, so you making a reference to him really does not make any sense in this context.

Yes thats what i meant. First it sounds as Mr Bytecoin himself came to public.

I`m already happy those shill accounts on reddit calming down it`s pretty emberassing when you recommend people this coin and they feel you only want to rob them, advising them to a company who supports bot like actions and deleting critics but support shill accounts who
only making silly price predictions and insulting others.

i think nobody cares if the team is holding 1% or 90% of all bytecoins, as long as they reinvest some money back to the product.
If i see we talk about millions here, shame to those people who didn`t use their money to invest in structures
that don`t needs a company to pump them.

Our project began on the deep web when it was first released / created in 2012, but now we exist not only on the deep web. If you are asking how people contact us, you can go to our web site and contact us through there. Or did you mean something else?

I think poloniex exchange does not affect the coin much anymore.
bytecoin listed on binance. hitbtc. okex, etc
so it will be popular.
Maybe you're right in that look. And more recently, somewhere I read that Bcn will be added to Coinbase. Perhaps, too, the news is not super bomb, but still the movement is going forward and this is important.

Just to be sure. Do they plan on making a new ledger (new coin) with the upcoming fork or am I missing something?

I may be wrong, but I see the comming fork as just an update : "The Consensus Update."
No new coin will be created

To be confirmed

No, no new coins will be created from the upcoming hardfork. It will mostly be an improvement of the API with some new additional features. We will have a blog post before the hardfork to announce all of the new features and everything users will need to know so stay tuned for that!

So no new ledger, no double money, nothing that could lead me to think that good old BCN will get obsolete in favour of a new Hardforked one.
Sounds good to me.
