GOOD NEWS UPDATE: I was in contact with my friend the other day who thought his Bytecoins were stolen by one of the Bytecoin developers because his coins were missing from his wallet and he checked it more than once as I remember his report to me, but just the other day, he decided to look again using the new web wallet app, and all of the Bytecoins were in his wallet and nothing was missing. He is very happy and wanted me to update you. You can see the date when I first reported the missing Bytecoin below. But now all his Bytecoin is there in the web wallet. He told me he is in the process of downloading the desktop wallet so he can obtain a private key so he has sovereignty over his Bytecoins. Dear BCN community,

I would stay away from it. Why? I was contacted by a friend I trust who told me how his BCN disappeared from the online web wallet he was using. It was very apparently an inside job and he could not trace where the BCN was moved to as the BCN explorer does not allow that for privacy purposes. So he could not report it to expect any meaningful results. That web wallet is apparently made by the same head developers who developed the coin as it is an official wallet found on the BCN website. Do you really want to be a part of something like this? Look at the top of this thread and you can find this warning: "Warning: One or more bitcointalk.org users have reported that they strongly believe that the creator of this topic is a scammer. Just stay away. Don't waste your time. Like most of you, i was holding some bytecoins "just in case". Today, my wallet is empty for no reason. 18.000 just gone
Your solution: Stop using: https://bytecoin.money/ and take "money" out of the URL and replace it with "one" and your coins should appear. I kept about 500,000 BCN in my wallet( https://bytecoin.money/).  And now the number 0 is on my balance sheet by itself! Dear developers, I ask you to return BCN coins back to balance! Are you not ashamed to engage in theft? Shameful!  If you are carrying out technical work,write about it on the site. Don't forget that your photos are available on the site. Most will be surprised to hear that I am watching Bytecoin and I have not purchased any yet. I offered to ask questions on here for some people on a very private forum, and so you see me asking questions for one of those people on this thread.
What will make me interested in buying Bytecoin someday?
SHOCKING REVELATION OF WHAT I AM WAITING TO SEE:
When the world starts to move to a blockchain system for their currency, and privacy coins are outlawed, then those coins whose developers and admins are exposing their identity to others via a website, will be attacked by the powers that be, and those coins will go down in price and may even fold up as the admins and developers come under threats by the powers that be.
The privacy coins whose admins keep themselves anonymous, will go up in price because they will still survive.
Bytecoin is one that stands out to me as a privacy coin that will survive while other privacy coins will be attacked and fold up.
The worse thing for Bytecoin admins and developers to do is to change it's anonymous policy concerning the identity of the BCN admins and developers. That would be a big mistake.
Bytecoin will be very huge in the future as long as the BCN admins and developers keep themselves very anonymous.
If I see BCN developers and admins maintaining their anonymity when the privacy coins are attacked, then I will have the greatest incentive to buy.
AMEN.
P.S. Those who are now getting in ahead of all those who will later pile into BCN, will have the greatest financial return on their decision. IMHO. I am not a financial advisor so I am not giving any recommendations to anyone. Just giving my opinion.

The bad side of this technology era is, people are easily forgotten good project like this one, we can never deny that Farming, dex, swapping are now dominating the market, the best thing to do for someone's project to survive their coin is to adopt this new trend.

If you want some Bytecoin for free there is a faucet that i'm using and works good: bytecoinfaucet.info
You have to use a legacy wallet (the address of legacy wallet starts with numbers and not with "bcn"). For now the minimum withdraw is 500 Bytecoin. The payout arrive in 1 day.

Is Bytecoin dead? Not yet, but it is on a life support machine waiting for someone to pull the plug and declare it officially dead.
Bytecoin simply has no reason to exist. It is a privacy coin with no innovation, dissipated community, ... there are much better options to use for the privacy concerned users.
It’s time for a new fork. This is the best thing that can happen.
Sorry for your loss. Do you need to sell your bag? I do not know. I will not sell. Maybe it wakes up from a coma. Decide for yourself. Sell it if you can and take it as a valuable lesson for the future investing decision.
