Many traders prioritize profits in a short period of time, when the coin rises they will sell gradually with little profit but safer, the daily trader must think more fortunately a little less as long as the risk of dump can be avoided, dont be greedy..

Well pump and dump and vice versa dump and pump are very common now-a-days.generally alts with low volumes usually experience such pumps and dumps and many fall victim to that.Pump-and-dump is the fraudulent practice used by whales encouraging unwitting investors to buy an asset to inflate its price artificially, and then selling it when the price gets high enough. Shocked Shocked
generally when volumes are very high we see such things occur quite less.So its better to trade in btc or any alts having more volume to minimize chance of losing money.
I agree completely, many people are dazzled when they see the profits they could get if they begin to trade altcoins with low market caps but the high volatility of those coins makes it almost impossible to get profits for the average trader, most the time the only ones that can get profits out of those coins are whales and those that were lucky enough to buy the coin before it pumped, so it is way better to trade the coins at the top of the market even if the potential profits are not as good.
Today, indeed, without a cryptocurrency market is very similar to a gamble. If you are lucky to buy cheap Coins, which subsequently increased their price several times, then such a user is really lucky to get a very good income. But it is very difficult to predict the development of the project today.
Trading isn't about luck you need to study the market to become a successful trader.
It would only be luck if you are just picking blindly on which one to invest in.
If you would just leave it to luck then why don't you just do it in gambling sites instead of waiting for a miracle .

Luck do still matter the most here in trading because the flow of the coins are verry unpredictable   . you didnt knoe if the will continue to rise or will fall down  . while in the case of gambling not all kinds of gambling games are based on luck  . some games like card and sports betting can be considered as a game of skills  .

@MidnightWolf its not what you call a luck  . its not that hard to chose and buy a coin at a cheaper price  . all you gotta do is to wait for the dip   .  dips basically occur at most times .  whats hard is that having a good capital  .

Yeah it's very common happened on crypto market and if you see the market right now, eth price is going up again. Dump and Pump and repeat.

Not only ethereum though, other altcoins also like that. Actually traders love pump and dump like this, the daily traders love this situation.

that is normal  when market is on uptrend expect that there is correction or accumulation process so its going on its down trend.. then it will be back to bullish again.. many of us is hoping that bull run will not come to an end Smiley

This has been the trend ever since, after we reach a higher price it will always go down but I don't see any reason to panic with this one because ETH was able to go up high when it hits the bottom. Now, we have another opportunity to buy so don't panic with this one.

The price pump easily but the same thing happen when its dumping.
Learn from this chart, and you will see a great pattern!

dump and pump tipically happen in bull markets meanwhil pump and dumps tipically happen in bearmarkets! Cheesy

actually this is not quite right in this market.
it can only work in a market where the asset (after dipping) is going to recover. otherwise when we are in a market where most of the dumps mean the end for that altcoin, buying in the dip is a foolish thing to do.

even if you were sure of the recovery of some altcoin it still is not worth it to buy in that dip because you will ALWAYS face either one of the following scenarios: 1. face a bigger dump after you bought because the "dip" was not the bottom. 2. have to wait for months to see the coin be pumped again. and that is not what a trader wants.

the condition of the market price now looks quite good still, though I'm sure there are some people who panic saw a decline that occurred in the market. but I believe this is just part of the pump will be, a small decline and I will persist. We see just what will happen on the next market.

Personally I never really care for short term trading because I'm holding for long term.

IMO , crypto trading is the best way if you can trade in longer term for example I'm using TA with MA 100 & MA 200 to decide when I can do execution and usually only happen every 6 month or 1 year !

Totally agree with you. I went through it a year ago. Indeed, a sluggish price reduction occurs after the dump. Professional traders in the stock market usually do not buy assets just because they are low. To buy for investment, you need signs of an uptrend. This is definitely not a dump Grin. I think this is true for crypto assets.

It should be learned from the past experiences, we do anticipated that for small jumped corrections will follow, though it seems that market still holding to it's ground and trying to make a good stand, in order to gathered more new players it must be hold from this barrier and allow new players to buy in and
start the pumped back.

Yes right, when there is a slight increase, they sell immediately, this is what makes the difficult market skyrocket like what happened in 2017.

Buying the dip is a strategy that is most often used by investors and not traders, and this is because an investor is willing to wait for a long time for the investment to recover something that is not true for traders, so traders cannot really risk to use that strategy because if the price keeps going down and they do not cut their losses expecting for the recovery then they may have no other option but to keep holding those coins for months and their profits will suffer as a result, assuming that the market recovers at all which is no guarantee with many altcoins.

yes this dump event often occurs when it has passed the pump. and sure enough, at a shocking price for some time it went up so fast, and now we see a dump again. but it looks like we will be able to start seeing bulls coming in after finishing the second correction.

Yes right, when there is a slight increase, they sell immediately, this is what makes the difficult market skyrocket like what happened in 2017.
most who do it are daily traders and some short-term investors. it becomes reasonable, because they are looking for safety by selling assets that they feel have benefited. there are no problems, because they also affect the increase in trading volume. which could make investors interested if the volume continues to grow.

With the way I see things in the market is not that people quickly dump or panic sell as you and the OP presume. We must not forget that there are series form of trading but, the market slightly down trend must be the effort of the day traders and the arbitrages which choose to hold more of Bitcoin and stable coin than ETH.

Normally, we should not expect to have a market where we will just be having consecutive series of pump without a dump correcting the market, these dump should not be a matter of concern since they are not whale dump, those dump that occurs are just a temporary one.

Because, most of the people that pulled out profit will still eventually put in the profit back to take more profit, sand traders are actually the ones that do more of these like you said, both day traders and short term trader, they are just using the little opportunity given to them by the market to make little profit off it, to be able to have more increase holdings.

I guess it's the right opportunity for us to trade. We should deal with the changes. We all know that the prices are always changing and if we will just stare at it while doing nothing, we are just losing the chance of gaining a good profit. It should be the right time for us to buy and sell when the prices strike again. It's either you should play with the market or the market would just play with you. It depends on how you take the risks.

You said play, I am saying that if you do not know how to play, you are simply gambling, do not recommend to trade when you do not really know how to do it.

The really way to trade and makes profits from cryptocurrencies market is to understand the rally and invest base on the up and down of the market. The current bullish trend will have some corrections along the lines and that is the more reason why we should scape the market for profits.

Yes right, when there is a slight increase, they sell immediately, this is what makes the difficult market skyrocket like what happened in 2017.
But in 2017, as Bitcoin was increase, people were selling at every increase and yet, it still kept skyrocketing, I am not sure the slow movement of price is as a result of traders selling, I think the reason for it because we have seen not seen more big time investors that will put in large sum of money, look at the investors we got early this month.

Despite the fact that people are selling, it is still maintaining the price they pushed the value of BTC to, so we need more of such people consecutively to be able to achieve the ATH of 2017 before thinking of going beyond it, once we get big investors, the price will surely skyrocket.
