I don't know that this thinking good or bad but i follow 3books for say and write good English. I collect 3 books. You can buy this or others some book and practice every day.




It is very bad and the hardest time for me because I have not good communication skill But I do not stop because I want to be good English. I have been trying it is my new challenge in my life, I do not mean that I can not do it There is no obstacle to trying. I want those who are very bad like me, if they try every day, after a few months, they can speak a bit better English. I do not know very well but I want to help others.

I have 500+ vocabulary(Verb) anyone agrees with me so I share '5' vocabulary(Verb) everyday, but need to translate your wone language.

That is very correct the ops grammar still need some improvement but as he has stated that there is no wrong in trying and am very sure that he is not a native of English, all he need to do is to keep learning because in life learning never ends. Before you know it your English will be in perfect shape.

Bttzed03, it is obvious that the native language of user Retina is Bengali, which is by the way one of the 23 official languages in India. This can be clearly seen in the presented books, so it would not be too bad to pay attention to the details

Retina, it is certainly commendable that you want to invest in your English language skills, and these books you presented will certainly help you with that goal. I see that one book have free audio cassettes, are you perhaps in their possession? Reading is not a bad way of learning, but you can also find great help in audio lessons.

I am not sure that listening to songs in English can help (can not harm for sure), but watching movies in English without subtitles will very likely help you to better master the language skills.

Retina I remember you from my Merit to Newbies thread. I think you had 3 or 4 merits when you posted in my thread and look at you now. 
It is nice to see that you are moving up in terms of rank. That is enough proof for all newbies that even members who don't speak English that well will be rewarded here if they show effort.

Oxford dictionaries could be a big step for someone who hasn't been learning English too long. Like the covers say it is a Dictionary for Advanced Learners.
No, don't listen to music if you want to learn English properly. Especially modern hip-hop or rap. You are going to get used to bad grammar and non-existing words and combinations.
But listening to some slower tunes could help you. Find some classic rock songs on youtube with subtitles.

Movies, as suggested are a fun way to learn English. But I would suggest watching them with English subtitles so you can compare what is being said on screen with the way the words and spelled.

If you want to improve your pronunciation you can record yourself and play it back and listen to it. What you hear on the recordings is what others hear who are talking to you.

Watch movies and listen to the TV up to 5 hours a day. Your grammatical structure and English language will greatly improve. You can choose a seasonal movie like the Games of Thrones and CNN and BBC for news channels. Your English will improve. I wish you the best of luck!

Yeah, it's not required but if you want to move ahead, for example in the corporate industry, it's highly advisable to learn how to speak english. Though if you look at the japanese, they're a rich and highly progressive country but with few good english speakers. I guess another option is to be better in what you do so instead of you adjusting to other people's language, they'll adjust to yours 😁
