For a starter, I hate been redirected out of forum to go read some article, if you're the original owner of article then post then on forum and you can add a source link at the end for reference purpose or indicate you're the original owner of article to avoid been accused of plagiarism.
I guess that he is the real writer of that article based on the name of the writer at medium. I also guess that he should have write a little bit of context of what he wrote on that link in this forum and on his OP. I think that he's just wanted some clap for his work.

I don't think it's wrong to paste article here for more discussion or exposure, imagining you are an author.
It's you yourself deciding whether to clap or not, based on how much you like the post.

Yes, IEO is far from perfect and still looks like another way to make money for exchanges. But external circumstances will make change.
I like the way Gate organized it:
- not a one day tokensale
- each participant was able to get tokens (although not 100% of the desired amount, but at least something)

Initially ICO was like the IEO now, many were sold out or reached hardcap in a short time, but because there were too many ICOs, many failed because the competition became very tight, if later too many IEOs would be the same as ICO.

I don't think IEO will be so worst as ICO because IEO are mostly a kind of regulated by the reputed exchanges. It's true that over the time, many nee exchange will pop up and try to launch IEO which will likely be the current ICO.

that is not everything, that is not even the most important part.

what you should know about IEOs, and i would go as far as saying the only thing you need to know about them is "what are they going to do with all the money they raise?". in the end I.E.O. is a fancy word for fund raising and they are supposed to deliver something in return.
but so far in the past couple of years not a single one out of thousands of them have done anything with millions of dollars funds they have raised.

That's right what you say, why should you be directed to leave this forum, can everything be written in this forum. I think it's good to just follow the suggestions, just move the writing to this forum. because I see the contents of the writing are very good
As like previously I had mentioned, he needs to get some visitors in his site. That's it. Nothing else. If he posted the whole article, would you use your time to visit his site? Simply no. That's the reason.

I think if he also needs traffic for his site, it is better at the end of the article to write a link to this article from the original site, while making words "For further information please visit this site" I think it's better

IEO is the market saver, the crowdsale is now lively because of IEO and it reflects in the market already since it's again bullish.
With this new trend of crowd funding, we can expect that investors will not hesitate to invest again, and IEO are now growing sponsored by different exchanges.

This would also help the exchange big time as investors would choose an exchange with a good trading volume so after the IEO, the project will already gain good liquidity.

Agreed on this mate because not only newbies but most of us who know the risk of being redirected for sometimes being used as for phishing sites or scams

If i were you OP i would rather put here the articles so everyone will benfits if you really wanted to help people to learn about IEO

In addition: There's a disadvantage I have noticed in the past project that carryout their crowdfunding through IEO which is very disturbing. The whales are manipulating the sales, they buy all the token in matter of sec/mins leaving the average investor with no token to buy which is bad because this guy's can easily manipulate the price of this coins/tokens when they hit the market. Exchange need to find solution to this issue which could be solved by putting buy limits on each account.
If this is the case then i think people must be aware of this issue and to be educated about the advantage of IEO to ICO and vise versa

The exchange can say tokens are sold out even when its not. Transparency can be an issue with this IEO since they are not letting us know where the funds are going. Its probably effective if its really in a big exchange but on the DEX, this IEO might not work otherwise it has to have a really good concept.

I saw few people concerned that the IEO sold out, because most IEOs sold out after only a few seconds. And buyers can quickly sell them for x2 or more in just a few days after they buy. But when IEOs are rampant, I don't know how long it will last

I am agree that IEOs is good opportunity for ICOs investor. After many investor scammed in ICOs at 2018, i think IEOs give many hope on crowdfunding. Its new way to invest in legit project. But i think there is a lot good and legit ICOs but its more easier to investor in IEO

I think ICO’s should just be for scammers while IEO should be for viable projects. There are very good projects in ICO, but it quite sad to hear that majority of them are no longer meeting up with their softcap as investors are now shifting their total attentions away from ICO because of scam going on.

The advice I get for these good projects in ICO is for them to just gradually shift their attention too to IEO, and I am sure majority of them would have gone through IEO, but I guess the fees in listing on IEO platform is quite too high for them. This is why exchanges too should try and bring their listing cost down to an affordable amount.
