What is Future city?
Future city is an MMORPG game with a blockchain economy where you can build an empire of your own ranging from the underdeveloped no-mans-land to the vast space and colonizable planets.
in future city you can earn cryptocurrency and utilize those funds in real life, you start in no-mans-land a deserted city where people that aren't citizens have been left in extremely poor conditions and need to build up everything the hard way, they need to get by and earn enough to be able to get across the sea and to buy a citizenship.
So what is no man's land?
in no man's land, people have to fight for survival and earn their status and outsmart the other players and claim land to build their bases collect materials to build on their land and to form their clans and build alliances to work together to get citizenship at Future city, or you could also just manipulate your way and steal everything you need to get the ticket on the boat to Future city and the citizenship, you start out in an abandoned city and it is advisable to head out the city as soon as you can to claim land and build a base of operations, or find other players who have started doing the same and seek shelter with them and work together to get out of this forsaken and dangerous land.
It would be advisable to get out of the city as fast as you can, stories say that there are slave runners there that are already citizens of Future city and have built up operations in no-mans land to run materials over the sea for the black market and they use slaves found in the abandoned city to collect materials for them at terrible conditions and these citizens have high-end guns and all sorts of weapons and armor that the simple people in no-mans-land have never even seen before. (a bow against a fully-fledged Megatron 3000 blaster wouldn't go so good, trust me...)
Now all while across the ocean there is Future city a thriving modern city with all the latest in technology you could envision with a bustling nightlife filled streets with players and computer-generated businesses as well as player-owned businesses and characters along with marketplaces, stock markets, banks, cars, houses, apartments.
But there are also dangers in Future city there are gangs, mafias, businessmen, dirty police, greedy players, killers, thieves, and much more, don't be too trusty, this is after all real cryptocurrency, and you can become anything you want in Future city and the sky is not the limit, you have the skills, after all, you survived no-mans-land and showed that you got enough skills, especially after you leveled up all the essential skills you needed before going to Future city, now you are a powerhouse, ready to build your empire and become the elite, who knows maybe you will even own the starport in Future city and sell tickets to other players towards other planets for a massive profit or maybe even own a dozen planets who have been colonized and have done build them up to be massive business hubs and are raking in the crypto, anything is possible, and the sky is not the limit.
What you will be able to do in Future city will be glorious!
We want to make the game so sandbox and take all of the functions and everything that made sandbox games popular in the past and put it together in this virtual life simulator with this unique story and has total freedom for the players but also a storyline base, the game will be using VR tech as well and will be in first person so that the player can be immersed the most in the experience and truly be in the virtual world.
Players will be able to own properties, businesses, vehicles, land, planets, skyscrapers, space-ships and will be able to have staff, build guilds, forge alliances, create party's, make deals, trade, you will need to handle inventory if you own a business, there will be a dynamic marketplace, there will be a crafting system, skill system, items, currencies, virtual stock market, virtual banks, land system, and much more, there will be a non-official black market where citizens will go to no-mans-land to get materials that are hard to get by in future city or expensive and they will camp out there and try to smuggle them to future city and stories tell that they even may kidnap new players and make them slaves if they encounter them.
much of the backend stuff will be based off the blockchain so that the items, currencies, banks, stocks, deeds, land ownership and much more.
Players will actually have virtual bank accounts and there will be virtual banks inside the game and you will be able to get a physical card that will be usable in an ATM or when shopping, we hope to make partnerships with an automatic exchange provider in the coming months and a physical card provider so that we can build this system flawlessly, there are similar systems in place and we don't think this will be an obstacle at all.
The alpha is in the works and we will soon be opening our servers to the first players, we are doing a funding round right now by selling pre-alpha spots to supporters of the game that will be the first people to be able to access the servers and the game world, and will be able to start claiming their land in no-mans land, and remember once you claim a land in-game that means the land is your's forever until you decide to sell it or rent it or anything like that, so if you are one of the first players it means you have the chance of claiming the best spots which could be worth more on the market in the future.

More information about the game world and systemsMost of the back-end functions will be run on smart contracts and this will be a virtual life game with action features
we are in the early stage right now and focusing most of our development at the game itself and the environment and funding ourselves by for example selling pre-alpha spots to players which provides us with the seed money, and then, later on, we will also hold an IEO and people will be able to purchase the game so that will provide income to the company, there will be no subscription fee, the main institutions inside the game will be stock-based and ownable such as casinos, banks, houses, businesses, and more, now this means that there will be some interest that will be earned of the money that you keep in your virtual bank accounts and you essentially will gain vesting profit from keeping your money in the bank but you will also be able to lend to others with interest but that profit will not be generated by the system, as for if you own part of the stocks in the casino then that means you will get a dividend of the total profits from the casino monthly split by the number of stocks that you have vs the number of stocks that exist and this will also work for businesses, which you will need to supply with materials for them to keep running and giving you profits, the cryptocurrency that will be created for future city will have an endless amount of supply that will only be dictated by the system itself which of course is created on blockchain and is therefore non-corruptable & hackable which will comprise of the total amount sold in the IEO and the generated by system on the go and we can not create anything more than is hardcoded in the smart contracts which will be created
the idea is that you can also create contracts with other players and contract them to do pretty much anything in-game
so that you can hire them to go get materials for you, kill this player, bodyguard this VIP, be a driver for a day, advertise your wares, just whatever you can think of really and when the job is fulfilled the escrow gets released, simple.
You can also do direct trades and use the global marketplace as well, and the idea is that you will also be able to
buy apartments or houses and furnish them with nice things and decorate them as you want as well as vehicles
after we see how much will be sold in the IEO then we can adjust the number of the smart contract on how much realistically the rewards for each aspect of the game will be and the prices for items and decide how much everything should pay out and things like that, it is impossible to decide before the IEO because then we can't create a real and viable economy without having the math behind it in the first place and we can only get that when the IEO is finished.
Then there is the claim land system, that is to be so that players can claim an amount of land in no-mans land
and build on it as he sees fit and with that function and the deed will be kept on the blockchain as well, the land is buildable and we also want to make it so that it will be rentable out to other players, so for example if you got a nice land and many segments together in a really good spot and you build on it and then you rent out your piece of the land then you will be able to collect some crypto from that investment you have already made by either claiming the land or purchasing the land from other players and then building on it, now lands will be split up in these kinda increments and players can only claim a set amount of lands and there will be a limit on how many lands you can claim and a higher limit on how many lands you can own so if you claim some really good land, earn profit, then you could easily re-invest into buying more land even if you have claimed all the lands you can clam
now no-man's land will be where the resources are found and where the action is at its peak, and this is where players will spawn, to begin with, but also parts of it will be where you will find missions and the best resources, there will be zones which will be less dangerous and other zones which will be highly dangerous and should not even be considered to enter without high-end gear, no man's land will be HUGE and the center of it will be a massive abandoned city
now to the even further future, we also want to make a starport inside the future city which yet again will be able to be ownable by players and based on stocks, and with this starport, players will be able to buy themselves fares to other planets but we also see that players will be able to buy slots from the starport on spaceships that will transport players, players will need to buy tickets to travel to other planets and that will be a part of the ecosystem, yet again profits are shared between stockholders, some planets will charge you a fee for entering the planet.
now we also want to make it possible so that players can buy special colonizing ships and fly out themselves to space and try to find colonizable planets in a procedurally generated space with a ton of planets, suns and solar systems that will have a very small chance of being colonizable, but we will create a number of planets to be "planted" inside this procedural generated space and planets etc, which we reckon will have more than 10.000 solar systems and more than 100.000 planets, now after you colonize a planet that means you own that planet and every bit of land on that planet, you can do as you please with that land, build on it, rent it, sell it, whatever you want, the planets will have different resources on them and some will be filled with rare materials that could make you crypto-rich, now and of course you and other players can go to these planets and explore them after they are colonized or make them your home.
Between no man's land and future city, there will be a ferry that goes between the lands, but you will never get past border security at Future city unless you have valid citizenship, you can buy one illegally on the black market in no man's land and get it infused with your chip, otherwise if you somehow would be found walking around in Future city without a citizenship then Autobots would probably shoot you down at sight.
Now we want the city to be free roam and open world, as well as no man's land, as free as possible and as sandbox as possible as well, but Future city will not be sandbox / buildable but will be free roam and open world.
You will be able to form corporations in the game as well, corporations can also own land and businesses and planets, and they will be stock-based.
Now the biggest challenges we will be facing is making the system in the beginning so that all the additional addons in the future will be easily integrated with the already existing smart contracts and systems that will be created in the beginning, so we will have that to think on before we actually make the entire blockchain-based economy ecosystem and will need many experts in the field of finance and software development to think all of the ecosystems through in it's whole even though that the game and game world will be gradually created and added to.
But other than that then we see it as smooth sailing.
