In the past in my country dog fight was popular but if you are caught doing it you go straight to prison and for a long time.The same applies for cock fighting too and any other animal related violence.

It's legal here but should be regulated. Same with other gambling, it was prohibited to do it on the streets just for fun although at some cases, there are few who still doing it.  Im just few kilometers away in one of the popular official cockpit arena here.

If you are in South East Asian country, most likely cock fighting is legal specially in the Philippines but it is held in cock fighting arena. This is allowed by the government here though there are occasions where people in the villages held cockfighting without permits, that is the illegal one. Such practises are not legal in my country nor have I ever heard anyone making bets on cock fighting. We do have bullfighting though. But it is not the bullfighting we know from Spain or Mexico. This is what I do not understand with gamblers. Why do they go to illegal cock fights when there is obviously an arena in every town in the Philippines? And you do not pay entrance fees if you bring a fighting cock with you. I go to cock fights but only on legal ones. I do not want to be arrested on illegal cock fights, too risky.
