Hello,

I bought an Antminer S9 and I'm new with mining so I've got some problem to configure my Antminer.
I created an account on bitmain, next i found my IP adress on "Advanced IP scanner" and as the tutorial say I change the protocol on "static" but now I can't go on the IP adresse and my Antminer is in grey in "Advanced IP scanner" and "inactive" even if the green light on the machine is on.
Please help me and sorry for my english

Thank you

The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

I know exactly what you did, you made a mistake in one of the network fields.

Do this

1- reset the miner ( google it )

2- go to your miner network setting and take a screenshot, post it here so someone  can guide you on what to type in each filed.

Or see this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5094311.0.

you do not need to access the web page to reset the miner, simply find the small whole on the right side of the network port "reset", take a needle or something thin, insert it there for 5 seconds until the lights blink

there are other ways to reset too, but this is the easiest.

you can also go to this guide by bitmain to reset your miner > https://support.bitmain.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003595387-How-to-reset-miner-to-factory-settings-

after you have reset your miners, post the screenshot and i will guide you through it, it's pretty simple so don't panic.

you need to use Advanced IP scanner again, because now your miner has a new IP address. if it does not appear, try to reset using reset method number 2.

Honestly, you don't need to change the protocol from DHCP to static you only need this if you are running multiple miners in the same network and if there is a miner with the same mac address with other devices connected to the same network you will experience some network issue but since you are beginner I think you are running only single miner?

If you can still remember what you put under static protocol you must post it here.

Code:
IP:
Netmask:
Gateway:
DNS Server:

I'm sure you didn't follow carefully how to reset the miner to the factory settings you don't need to follow the web GUI reset procedure what you need to do is to hard reset the miner through "reset button" or the "IP report button" make sure that you run the miner first for 10 minutes before you perform the hard reset.

The next thing you need to do is set the pool and ignore setting up the network setting just keep it in DHCP mode then reboot and start to run the miner.

If you can't still be satisfied you can check this (Review/Guide) Antminer S9 13.5 Th/s, 1320 W Bitcoin (SHA-256) ASIC miner

I'm glad that it fixed you don't need to put the network settings run now just ignore the remaining settings to DHCP.
