Sorry I'm against this idea, if this is some form of fund raising for charity it should be taken to the Service board or any other board where previous charity have been carried out then it'll get more support and mine too. I'm very sure serious members won't associate with this. This only portray the idea of merit competition which I don't think it is hygienic for the forum. You don't create quality post with the idea of getting merited but as a contribution in regards to quality discussion in the forum, getting merited is just a bonus.

No hate but just imagine this, some random user accepts the challenge he/she now knows all eyes are on his account. what does he do, he takes advantage of that and goes hurting in regards to creating quality content and in return gets merits and ranked up. Then what?, We shouldn't encourage creating quality content just because they want to rank up (receive) merit but because volunteering we want to add value to the forum. If users use ranking up as their main motivation to create quality post, they become liability to the forum when they achieve that goals as the motivation will be lost.

Your answer is very politically correct, but completely incompatible with the reality. Since the introduction of the merit system, users (at least in the rank below Legendary) try to get some of them - probably for most users this is not the meaning of life, but for sure motivates them to make a bigger contribution (and isn't it merit system purpose?).
In the ideal reality you are talking about merit, would only get users: @Mather_Theresa and @St_Francis  (who of course would not have wear signatures). But we live in a real world and many users think about merits, is it bad - that they receive an additional incentive to create better (and more) content - NO.
@wwzsocki user has already proven that he can create posts which are worth rewarding - so this challenge can only convince him to spend some more time this week than usual but he will certainly not hurt from writing more posts.

Thank you for your feedback. I was thinking a lot about the best place to post it and meta section seams the best for me for discussion about bitcointalk function which is merit system. Suggested by you Service Board seams to be far from accurate since I'm not offering any service here. Games and Rounds? ... do we really want to dig in charity topic into spam from gambling sites?

I understand your point about merit system. But does it matter for user who came here with question looking for an answer if he get it from "merit hunter" or "@Mather_Theresa". Does it matter if fireman extinguishes fire in your house for money or with mindset of helping others (and money as extra profit). Both are doing great job. I don't know if Wwzysocki is first or second one and it does not matter for me. I only challenged him to try to extinguish more fire this week (or as He choosed ... make more fire).

I know that it is not in accordance with the regulations that he has introduced(After challenge user, who was nominated has 24 to nominate the next person (be careful to who challenge you. prepared for that ;-))

but maybe he will agree...

I was thinking a lot that 1 challenge per week is not enought. Thats why i've change rules a little. From now on anyone can challenge anyone unless there is empty spot. I hope you guys find it fair for everyone (if not i'm open for discussion). That way your challenge is correct.

so, @Tytanowy Janusz - will you take the challenge ??

I accept the challenge. 19 merits left. Prepare your funds ... find good charity .. Because I'm going to smash it Smiley

This person have to announce their acceptance in this topic together with short self introduction (with few best posts?) within 24h.[/li][/list]

so, @Tytanowy Janusz - will you take the challenge ??

Well its time for me to introduce myself.

I'm 28 year old guy with wife and one-year-old son. My second son will be born in September. I have 3 paramours ... maths, economy and of course bitcoin. I started my adventure with bitcoin by buying it at 18 000$ in December 2017. Yea.. after 3 years of trading on stocks i bought bitcoin at the top of the bubble. That's how blindly i fall in love with it when i was going deeper and deeper with my research. Hopefully I've invested only 20% there. Rest was at 14k, 10k, 6k and 3,2k. Seeing how volatile and exciting this market is I've decided to quit my job and earn for a living with trading. I felt confident with my 3 years trading experience on stocks. Since now i don't know if that was right decision. Emotional roller-coaster every day. To have additional income and still be able to control my trades i started doing bounties. That's how I've found Bitcointalk (I am not proud of the reasons why I came here). After a while on forum i found out that BTT its great place with interresting community. I've quit bounties and start to contribute for community. Sharing my maths/economy analysis with others. Discussing with others. It's started to be very relaxing and helps me not thing about trades all the time.

I've created few interresting topic that I would like to share with you:

Money creation system - is bitcoin creation resistant? - I'm proud of that one. I think everyone should read that. Its about possibility of implementing fractional reserve system by huge crypto exchange or crypto banks.

Then I've started signature campaign where i had to do some posts in gambling section. To be honest I'm against gambling (my mathematical mind forbids me to play any game where probability is against me). But I understand that some people enjoy gambling. I only think that all of them should know that its only for fun (not for earning) and the probability is always on the casino side. That's why i've started this threat.

Does Martingale Work? - Against myth that was most often repeated in gambling section. That this strategy works or as some say ... works only with big bankroll.

I'm also contributing a lot in Polish local board:

Signature campaing - regularnie płatne pewniaki - all free spots in signature campaings that mach strictly defined criteria

Ranking zaufania Trust - jak działa? Czym jest DT i jak nim zostać. - everything you need to know about Trust system

[Poradnik] Portfele sprzętowe - który wybrać? - translation of BitCryptex tutorial [Guide] Hardware wallets - which one is a good choice?

I have few other interresting topics but lets not create spam in here.

You are a high risk-taker, anyway, you made it and it is time to demonstrate that you actually made a good decision, breaking one for rest period of your life.
Seeing how volatile and exciting this market is I've decided to quit my job and earn for a living with trading.
Crypto market is totally different than stock market. Both of them manipulated by news, but crypto is more vulnerable with news than stock. Emotion is another key component of crypto market on crypto traders and investors.

You made a good example about the role of forum in crypto. It is the essential place to get news, information, as well as to discuss, and learn valuable things. When merit system launched more than one year ago, lots of shitposters asked for removing the merit system, or demands of a fork from bitcointalk forum. It's one of the biggest joke I have ever seen in the forum. Bitcointalk-forked forum.  Roll Eyes

So maybe another challenge - 497 merits in next week  Grin Grin Grin

There is still 1 empty slot for challenges:)

Thank you and great to see that you already have sent so many donations.

Never say that is not much because 25$ is a lot of money and if everybody will donate such amount of money to any charity then there will be a lot less poverty in the world.

I will answer today in the evening one more time if I will challenge somebody because I want to challenge @Crypto Mania but first I send him PM to be sure if he accepts and still waiting for the answer.

Thank you. Take your time Smiley choose wisely.

As a person who just finished challenge i can nominate another member. But I've decided to leave this spot as empty for others. I've created this topic for community. I've nominated once, i was nominated once now its time for you to have fun.

And of course big congratulations for Tytanowy Janusz

I wish I am so much merit away from Legendary, and I have not enough time to post such good quality posts as both of you to deserve merit's

Thank you. Well you can always challenge someone. There are 2 free spots. And I've added 2 updates so now you can challenge someone to earn fixed amount of merits (f.e. 20)

    Update:
Most of the feedback I get is about that this challenge sounds fun but only few will have opportunity to take part in. I thought about letting nominated person nominate up to 2 users. But that way after 10 round I'll have to mange 1000 challenges. That's why I came up with an idea that I will open 3 spots for 3 active challenges per week. If you see empty spot that means that its free and will be taken by first challenge posted. You can challenge anyone. New spot will be realised if someone won't nominate new user on time.

    Update 2.0 :
From now on you can challenge other member to gain certain amount of merits (f.e. 20). But if there will be more thrown challenges than empty spots priority goes to rank up challenges.

Thanks, @WWzsocki for this invitation and your support but I just don't fill strong enough to accept it.
When I look at my merits history most of them are from @WWzsocki and only a few from other members.
Thank you for your ongoing support during this year @wwzsocki I really appreciate it but don't have the skills yet to get so many merits in a short time.
I am still learning and maybe next time when closer to senior member rank then you can challenge me again.

Its just for fun. In the worst case you will have to donate more than 1 cent to charity Smiley Not that bad Smiley If it would be easy for everyone it won't be called "challenge". If you don't fill strong with your knowledge you can always write some translations of quality topics (hope your native language is not English because most of them are in English). I can give you few links.

Anyway i appreciate your honesty and modesty. If that's your final position i'll accept it.

Anyone want's to challenge anyone? We have 2 empty slots.

@Tytanowy Janusz CONGRATULATIONS YOU'VE MADE IT!!!

I found an interesting thread created by the user @cabalism13

I think it will be a perfect place where I can fulfill my commitment to a charitable donation (at the same time supporting the activities of the btt user). I also encourage everyone to visit this thread - is a great initiative that is  definitely worth supporting ...

below i give a confirmation of my donation

Sorry that I haven't responded here for so long but I wanted to find somebody to challenge first before, I post again.

Despite that, I tried really hard to challenge a few members, nobody wants to accept it.

I think this is just a bad time and we are in the last phase of the bear market so there are not so many members frequently active.

There is still a little hope because I wait for answers from members I tried to challenge. Let's hope that somebody will accept it finally.

I have left You @TytanowyJanusz additional positive trust feedback for your donation fulfillment.
