MERIT SOURCE application

Sorry I'm late to the MG party, but these Meta threads do pass me by =) Now, I don't generally interact with Meta, but micg is in my Trust list and I am putting in my support for his application, however that support might mean.

The technical purists might have a point (I refer to QS's comments) in the use of merit, but while I also have done my best to merit posts purely on constructive value, we should not ignore the efforts of others, especially newcomers, in making this forum a welcoming space, an accessible environment even for non-technical users (because God knows, I'm as layman as it gets and it took me a long time to get comfy), and basically just being damn supportive.

Those things are to me as useful to "the Bitcointalk community" and adoption, as getting helpful responses to technical questions.

Is this a populist statement of support? I guess it is =) So sue me

I strongly support people who like you, have tolerance and sense of nature to help people with sincerity and selflessness.

An award may be for some people very insignificant but for new people who are now starting to join this forum maybe awards like Merit will be the most valuable thing because giving a Merit can give them more enthusiasm to continue to be active and contribute to this forum.

Since I decided to post in meta for the next two weeks (Chances are - I will get silent after), I write it here to support your application.

Please theymos make this man a merit source. He has a good heart for the forum members and very welcoming to strangers. Forum will have a better merit source if you accept him.

I support the proposal that MicG should be a merit source.  In my humble opinion, he would be a worthy candidate.

He sort of ties the thread together.
