pro-tip: some of the wiring on the A9 cannot handle the current when overclocked in a safe manner.

Still within all factory specs so hopefully it can handle it. There are also 2 efuses that need to be careful not to trigger.

But thanks

edit....  The voltages are actually in the same range as the miner would set in one of its modes. It also appears that the miner is ignoring the 2nd and 3rd T1pllx from the config file.

Yup - the voltage stuff has been documented for many months now.. and one of the places where additional code needs to be added to support it.

My comment on current was not made out of the blue -- burnt wiring will happen if you push these.

core voltage is expected to be no more than 900mV "in range as the miner would set".

re: efuse. Don't mistake the existence of these on the die for "what is in any of the code paths". Check and see if pin16 is high or low -- probably low. And if so, that means you can't trigger them via SPI, which means you can't trigger them via "the firmware".... plus it just isn't clear that they do anything, whether they are single fire, or resettable. in other words, nothing to pay attention to nor be "careful not to trigger". ... and if it is high, then simply don't write to d08000000 via SPI.

I am sure can keep it under 1000 and still keep the speed.

Update on inno A9 progress. Currently holding 66k server side and miner side 66-68k

We are getting more speed with some power increase. Last test was about 1000watts

LOL ....Its not the same thing sorry and I am the original author of this firmware mod. So please get it correct before flapping your fingers on the keyboard in a attempt to push people away from this mod. I know you wont get 65+k steady or anything near it without additional mods done to the firmware. Just making some changes to the config file wont do it. There are 2 well known and respected members who have done the testing of the mods for me and report back they are working fine.

Depending on board quality, should provide a total solution rate between ~60 KSol/s and ~70 KSol/s.
... I'll quote this from the post. This has been long proven since March.

Have a nice day.

You Posted "Apparently you reported me correcting your grammar. Lol.

I had nothing to do with with your post being deleted. It is funny though. Maybe others are seeing the real you post things then hurry up and lock the thread. Like a little kid or a bully. Also it is none of your business what deals I have with the testers for compensation so Mr HashEm didnt twist nothing he merely stated I was charging for the mod.

For someone who dont want to talk about or to me you sure are at it on discord. I would rather be a bastard then a person like you. Dont let the con get to your head one day people will realize you you are not on the up an up with your future updates and so on.

That was my intention was to get something more going on the A9 since no one else wanted to touch it any further then the config file mod.

A9 Update.....Coming soon update all vid and freq settings using web gui add-on. You will also be able to set your freq limit beyond the locked 1596m currently in place. I am also working on a easy install package that can be ran under ssh to install what is needed.

Why would anyone want to run an A9 at 1000watts for only 66-68 k/sols???

I have all mine running 58-63 k/sols and they are only pulling 750watts from the wall.

At 8 cents a kilowatt I'm making 2 cents a day more because of the lower power consumption.

And on top of that you want to charge for making the machine less efficient...

Hard pass!

Right now it would vary by machine. I have 2 separate voltage/frequency packages until I have the web gui and a installer finished which wont be till early next week before I have time to finish it.

You will be able to under or over power the unit and select any freq max limit you want to try not just up to 1596m

Without the cgminer mod with it you are limited to 1596m and whatever voltage allowing to tune for more speed. Any miner when over clocked uses more power so you would need to find the range that is most profitable for you.

edit....

What many dont realize is the settings they set in the config file right now only the first t1pll is read by the cgminer and ignores chain 2 and 3 settings. There are additional setings that can be used to tune the miner such as the performance level spi speed ability to set a higher frequency or lower, ability to set voltage higher or lower with my modded cgminer.

Changing SPI does impact hashing path and is just a waste.
You do know what SPI is, right? And it, like I2C and RS232 both have different frequencies (“baud” in RS232). Those are just for communications between components and not hashing.... might as well overclock the LEDs to blink faster while you are in there.

You change the weirdest crap.

Also, “disparate”, not “desperate”... unless your voltage package options really are hard up, but I would assume you meant “unique”.
