Would you bet on an insect fight?

This kind of fight is part of my childhood.

A bettle fight and spider fight. Betting wasn't so popular before for us as children but there's already a stake and that is any of your another pet, a bettle or spider on your reserved cage.

I think we all have a good childhood on this one. Well, i didn’t experience to have some bet with the insects but I think its almost the same with the spider. This is just a small way of having fun, so i believe it will not attract more gamblers. Anyway, i will bet on this one on a live place not thru online.

Missing the good old days when we were once a kid and doesn't think about the future or tomorrow.

In my place, there's no giant ants like OP posted so mostly we play with bettles and spiders matches.

Insects fighting, I remember that way back when I was in childhood. Spiders, ants and even fish they have matches that we can make bet. But for me, that is not advisable to the children to play that kind of matches. That is still living things that we must respect their lives. However, there's a lot of matches that you can amke to bet rather than fighting insects.

Its very common here in my place but its not consider as a way of gambling because its literally just for fun and for the pride. I used to play this before, and not just insects but also some other animal that are getting wild against their opponents, just like the spiders and the cockfighting. Its not cruelty for some people, but it really hurts now to see animal like this, i guess i’m old and matured now.

If there's a sportsbook or gambling website that start's offering market for this kind of event I would bet if the minimum is low enough for me.

When and where you gamble these kind of games? does the investors really like to invest these kind games?

There's no place where you can gamble with ants and if you're serious you have to look for an opponent IRL. OP is just sharing his opinion about the possibility of it since you can bet on almost anything.

In our country kids catch spidera and let them fight on a stick. You can also see adults doing the same and guess what, they are betting money with it. The question is, will this kind of gambling catch gamblers attention online?

Same in my country. I remember when I was a child, I earn money selling spiders to adults who use it for gambling.

I think, if men put bets on cockfights, they will also put bets on ants or spiders fighting. As long as it is exciting enough.

Why not? But it's my first time seeing this kind of insect fight when I first read the title of this thread I thought it's some kind of spider fight because that's what I'm familiar with... well I'll definitely bet if they would make a live insect fight and accept a payment of cryptocurrency.

but just like a dog fight I see this cruel forcing 2 innocent insects fight each other for our entertainment, I change my mind I would just bet on gambling games lol.

In my town there are ants that only appear once a year and it is common for children to capture one and start a fight against others ants.

this very new to me and I don't previously do it this type of betting but I know only one thing it will be more entertained and fun with it but this type of way to bet is like make your entertainment only not for making money

In my country, I see games with animals, and they use turtles for games. Who has a turtle that can walk quickly to completion, he will be the winner. You can imagine how long the turtle will walk

The game is just for fun, but I heard that some people use this as a bet and they use money in the game. But I never watched it myself because this game is not popular here.

Another game is a bird contest. People come to one place with their birds, and they listen to the singing of birds and whoever has the longest singing bird will be the winner. I think there are more games using animals that people use in my country, but I don't know too much.

In such games I'll never participate, because it isn't trained to fight. The winning could happen to any one and it is hard to predict. Everything is supposed to be selected in a random way, so winning is completely luck dependent. This way I don't want to loss, better I'll go with more other common games that were available for us.

Maybe in future, yes. After i research which insect is good to fight.  Because i think insect fight almost like same sportsbetting on boxing or any other fighting match. That is why we must know which one is good or which one is bad first.

As for me per-say, i will not bet on any game that will not be entertaining to me as a gambler, basically, still wonder how such game will attract gamblers to gamble on just an insect fight. Gamblers seek for fun, entertainment and winnings when it come to gamble. If others will do, i cannot bet on insect fight.

There are lot of bug fight that is famous, cricket, ant, bettle and others but I don't enjoy that kind of game or gambling, its not excited for me, infact it's horrible to watch, its an animal cruelty and sometimes one of the animal will die or losing some part of it's body, its not entertaining for me

Lol. It's interesting and i wouldn't mind placing a bet on it. I've seen some insect bets like snail and bug racing and spider fights and it's quite entertaining. You usually see this in far off provinces as past time for locals.

Nope I wont bet on insect fighting, I think it is just a game for fun and for kids only. It would be bad to involve money on it since it will be crazier than dog/cock fighting. Dog or cock can be trained, trainer can improve the skill, stamina, of the dog/cock but I dont think it is applicable for insect.

Well, that would essentially just increase the randomness of the fight.

I mean, unless you're going to analyze the strengths of a ant.

This fight can only be a fun diversion.   Obviously some will object on cruelty grounds but the main reason why not is the performance and ability of the insect is entirely unclear.   You cant easily guage is the insect is in good health or not, its entirely unpredictable.

Take horse racing and there is pedigree to the whole sport, this matters

I guess this is the appeal of something like this. It is totally random in a sense,,, no control over it, and maybe less chance to cheat. But I know some people if they had a chance they would do something like maybe give the ant a small gas treatment to make it sleepy,,, or some sugar to make them active. The only "true random" is if they find a colony of the soldiers and pick random and then bet on it instantly within 5 minutes or something.

Insect fight is popular in some countries, it is gambling and I guess you are also aware of cock fights.

There is no official games available on these kind,so there are no rules so how you are going to predict the winner if you bet on it.

It may be absurd but I already did.

At that time I am just a child and at that time, we usually go to a grassland near the foot of a mountain and find spiders. We use it to fight to other person with spider and bet on it. We bet money, sometimes toys and also spiders too. If I am not mistaken, there are bugs that fight too. In my country it is hard to find one and we usually end up finding spiders but not bugs.
