Would you bet on an insect fight?

In my town there are ants that only appear once a year and it is common for children to capture one and start a fight against others ants.

I use to do that when ias younh,i gather more insects and cut their lower parts so they will get angry and i put them all in a glass with pyramidal design and they will start fighting till they lose their strength

This made me think ...  What would happen if this took a step forward and stopped being just a children's game?

Well that would be difficult for elders to find insect as small like that lol

How would it be if you could bet?
How would the people see it , its just as crazy as a dog or a cock fights?

fucking no, for me it's the same like an animal fight. i never would bet on it nor watch something like this... why the fuck can't people let the nature be nature... they wanna get money from every shit, this is so disgusting. 

You are entitled to your opinion bro but on the contrary there is nothing disgusting about the game at all. It is very interesting and there are many viewers of it who are also being entertained through it. Aside the money aspect of the game, there just this entertaining side of it that makes it worth the   time spent in watching. The view of having two insects battle is humorous. It’s an old time game and I can’t remember the last time I ever watched or visited the scene of this but its quite interesting.

Well different people with how they view things actually but honestly I am surprised that the game can be seen  to be entertaining. There are over 100s of very interesting game to watched and played and I don’t consider this one of them.

I knew about the game years back and I am glad not even me or any of my friends ever participated or watched. It seems really interesting to me because I have never seen any insect fight ever in my life, I never even heard about it, but as you said spider fight is ok so when I searched about it on YouTube I got to know yes there are some tribes in Africa where people use to bet on spider fight people, keep spiders and then make them fight, it’s really strange.

In a traditional gambling they are been used but by the technology now, most of the gambling practices has been converted to computers with the help of online gambling this is no longer been practice or not even known by this new era, they are now engage with sports betting or any types of casino games where they are enjoying inside the convenient of their own devices.

If you had spider fight during your childhood in your country, how are you so sure there won’t be insect fight in the long run, which I am sure it will also be introduce one day? They all belong to the same category if you ask me.

I have never tried any of this and it is can’t be found in my country I must confess to you. I have never even heard of it until I saw it on this forum and I think some users too have denied the knowledge of it. I have never been into a fight where ants are directly involved.I have witnessed spiders in a stick fighting but not with ants.Maybe in some countries insect fighting have become legal but not in my own country.Cockfighting is what we have here that are mostly enjoyed by gamblers.

Well, i have heard about spider and cock fighting, but Ant fighting it is a new idea on betting wise. But I have seen ants games in mobile, but not for bet. Well, i have heard about spider and cock fighting, but Ant fighting it is a new idea on betting wise. But I have seen ants games in mobile, but not for bet. It's not going to go beyond childrens and urban villages' past time gambles i think. That kind of gambling won't make it far in the actual gambling scene even if it's played online. I've heard about all these exotic bettings before and they seem to be getting support only from local communities, mostly from the ones where they came from. I too do not think if such a game even exists or it might be there somewhere but very few among us know about it and since the risk and uncertainty in the gambling is very high, I do not think anyone will go for it. Why not rather go for sports gambling which is way too entertaining and has visible signs about the win or loss.

Moreover, you could make use of your experience in sports gambling to maximize the chances to win whereas even with (for example) horse racing too we cannot be sure about to be winning all the times (horse race betting is one of recognized skill based gambling in many countries).

I don't know if there are bets for insects as small as ants. About children, anything can be used as a game if indeed it will be an interesting game for them. But for insect gambling, I don't think it would be a bet that would be exciting, but who knows if later or indeed there has been gambling for insects like that. If that happens, I think it is purely a bet just to have fun while being with friends to fill their free time.

In my own opinion, i would not bet on an insect fight like ants because it is just like a cock betting fight that i use to watch on a television and in my place. They entertained well in insect fighting match and probably the will grab the chance to have a betting. But for me, I won't find any interesting on that insect's fight. Looks like very unsatisfaction because they only fight with a minute. Well, cockfighting is acceptable now by the government everywhere in the country as far as I know. It is survival of the fittest, that is how they live. Be killed or to kill, if they will not be killing other insects, they will die since that insect wil kill them. I am really surprised how a country can take this kind of gambling as a tradition; well I am glad I come from a country that knows nothing about this type of gambling. It is not as if you are now too old for the game, it is just the invention of new and better games that probably made that one outdated to you.

For me, I will rather stay and not play any games than to play such a despicable game, that’s if we had it in my country at all. Gambling with every other thing is fun, but to gamble with an insect is evil and very irritating, it really doesn’t make any sense to me at all.
