Newbies are just too quick to associate themselves with project they have no idea how they're been operated. A quick surf through the forum & you will see numerous advertisment thread created by newbie and other "not experience"  forum members associating themselves with project they're not a team member or have no idea how that project is operated. The DT system have some precaution measure they employed to help combat potential scam before it happens and one of those measure is tagging any account associating themselves with a potential scam or already proven scam projects.

Here's an example: Why am I bringing this to this board, I want it to serve as a warning to you guys always starting a thread without researching on the project. Don't associate yourself with a project you have no idea how it's been operated, the moment you do, your account serve as a representative of that project on forum and if it turns out to be a scam or offering unrealistic price you get tagged as your started thread served as an advertisement (somehow announcement thread) to the forum. Be warned, keep your account red tagged free, don't try this on forum.!!!

But I have seen many users saying they earned hundreds or even thousands of dollars in a few months/weeks in those campaigns. If you take a look on Reddit you can see a lot of paid users chilling new tokens in ethtrader, cryptocurrency and other popular subreddits

Whenever I mention a service or a cryptocurrency on my post, I make sure that I put a disclaimer that I'm not associated with them in any way nor I have a part in their cause. This is to establish the fact that I'm not related to them and I'm not advertising them, and to make sure that once they snapped the exit scam card, I wouldn't get tagged and dragged into their shitstorm. I've seen a lot of services who I've used and mentioned here in the forum that did the same, and so in order to not get associated with them just because I mentioned them, I always place a disclaimer on my posts which include them.

If my memory serve me correct, you will find lot of people's even on fiverr who will promote your projects on bitcoin talk. They will make random spam post for you. A d obviously they will get paid for it like per post. You can sear there with bitcointalk word and you will find lot of service about bitcointalk.

However, no doubts they are paid promoters and I don't think they are enough care about their red tag. They know it and they have lots of account.

If someone found this kind of promoter feel free to open thread on reputation so that DT members could handle them if there is any likely scam.

Lower ranked members tend to follow their rules blindly because of the payment they are expecting to receive. Requirements such as bumping the thread and spamming it is one of them. Aside from that when the service is busted in being a scam they are also the last ones not to remove it as what only matters is their campaign is not "officially" ended yet. For stubborn newbie I do think they deserve to have the negative feedback they will receive as they tend to risk other members from what they are advertising by not removing it.

I second this, those guys are paid to post topics like this and often dont even care about what the project is about and what they are promoting. I dont get it why projects even pay for such a behaviour.

In most cases those newbie accounts are only a payed shill for scam projects or they just want to push their own ref link.
But there is a point in OP's words. For example when people are getting a good amount of shitcoins it is changing their minds and they are trying to advertise this project in order to get more profit by increasing shitcoin's market cap.
It is easy to talk about this but when you are getting a good amount of almost free money this project for you would really seem legit, no matter if it is a scamcoin or HYIP that would scam everyone later. This kind of people would hardly listen to our words.

Good point highlighting this. After all, as the saying goes, you are the company you keep.

And getting a red tag would be the least of your concerns if you do end up promoting a campaign that turned out to be fraudulent. If you are involved in pushing such projects, you could have the authorities coming after you. Just ask those who promoted BitConnect like Trevon James.

Also, when promoting campaigns, be sure to make full disclosure that you are being compensated for the promotion. Otherwise, you could end up like Floyd Mayweather and DJ Khaled who were both fined by the SEC for making promotions without adequate disclosure.

Its high risk high reward, some of these projects go to the moon.  People called bitcoin investors crazy when it was under $1, same thing applies.  Its like being paid in company stock vs being paid at cash at a startup.

When promoting someone else's project or services, you are using your name and reputation to influence your audience (people doing that are usually financially motivated) thus, you have to accept the consequences.

Adding a disclaimer is a good practice. It may save you from being negged.

I think the believe that cryptocurrency  is an island of treasures could be one of the reasons why they don't bother going through the project teams or information properly.
Well I think once beating twice shy after one or two bad experience for those that are adamant initially they would check mate themselves

A disclaimer without proper due diligence is not enough. Just saying that you're not involved in the project doesn't necessarily mean you're free from being 'punished' when the project turned out to be a scam unless you've done your DD and post the details. I personally would add my own due diligence details in the disclaimer so that people can read about it and point out where I'm lacking, therefore instead of joining any project, I can filter it out from the beginning.

True that, those guys are spamming FB and Twitter with reposts and tweets, often without any deeper understanding what they are promoting.

Facebook and Twitter dont care if the projects turn out to be scams, so the risks for those posters are very low. Promoting scam projects here at BTT may lead to a negative trust resulting in an worthless account.

Most of them are ignorant of what there are doing and they are just starting thread promoting projects that they don't have any working knowledge of, if you ask the any question aside what they post the can not provide answers to your question, they are carried away with the promise of payment on either for they signature campaign or social media campaign and if the project turn out to be scam the end up being scam and always help to scam others in the community.

They even don't know that projects that they promote are scam ones, or at least potential scam ones. When they joined bounties and saw high payments promised by team of those projects. Participants turn into greedy and likely lost their minds. They mainly or only thought of payments they will get at the end of those bounties. Moreover, they intent to promote those projects everywhere because they hope that via their own promotions, tokens, or coins will have higher price, so they can actually get more with their payments from bounties.
Unfortunately, at the end of those bounties, projects mostly turn into scam ones, and don't pay anything to their participants.

Categorically, you got the point and the message delivered. Looking at the information, most of us who cannot spot out between good projects and bad projects still be victim, if they are found?. If they should be punish according to forum rules and regulations, it should be by warning at first before taken a drastic action against such forum members, especially Newbies.

Read somewhere on the forum where some members were given red tag for advertising "Ethereum ~~~~~", though can't remember the exact name given to the Ethereum, but it was the time of Hard-fork. Yes, warning was given follow by DT red tag, that's a complete justice but in a situation were no warning is be given doesn't look fair. Most of these Newbies are here solely for the purpose of acquiring Tokens from any source or project.

Imagine a group acting as scam detectors or scam fighters, this will go a long way to help the Newbies; becasue once these projects are be tag they will not join, as such keep their account red tag free.

We already have those, visit the scam accusation board more often and you'll see numerous of these accusation thread be created almost daily, one of the most notable account is ICOethics and we have dedicated DT members (especially Lauda] that red tag the accounts related to this project the moment they're caught. Although these guys aren't perfect (no one is) but they're doing quite well in regards to fighting scam.

When they joined bounties and saw high installments guaranteed by group of those ventures. Members transform into eager and likely lost their brains. They basically or just idea of installments they will get toward the finish of those bounties. Also, they purpose to advance those activities wherever in light of the fact that they trust that by means of their own advancements, tokens, or coins will have more expensive rate, so they can really get more with their installments from bounties.

Sadly, toward the finish of those bounties, extends for the most part transform into trick ones, and don't pay anything to their members.
