It is no longer news that Binance is launching their own chain on the 23rd of April, 2019. All BNB holders can convert their ERC 20 to Binance Chain and MITH has announce to be the first to migrate to Binance Chain and pumped 60% overnight. Is Binance Chain decentralized or semi-decentrilized considering that they will be in control of their chain network. With the lack of smart contract, are they really pulling any challenge to ETH? Well. If the purpose is for crowdfunding and the possibility of getting listed, BNB might receive a lot of attention. In my own opinion, Binance Team is setting the pace for other exchanges and they are doing really well.

that chain should be a centralized chain. this time people are getting a big hype caused by that but that will not be so long. People was expecting a lot with it when it gets released and there will be a U turn. This is a speculation market |

Binance has such great strength because it has a strong support in the market. but if you notice that ethereum has built a very large community so that to defeat ethereum domination is a very heavy work. takes a long time to realize this, binance is a strong threat. |

This is a speculation market If it is a centralised even semi decentralised there will be chances huge manipulation . BNB one of the most rusted coin now it is moving away form ERC20 token . After EOS launched mainnet ethereum price decreased now another one of the most popular coin going out of ethereum smart contract definitely it will effect ethereum for soem time |

The power and popularity of Binance can't be questioned.
But about the chain, obviously it is run by a company (BNB) and that looks like a centralized chain.

Binance coin is a very good altcoin and a must to serious investors but comparing to ethereum is not making sense because ETH has something bnb doesn't and that's smartcontract

Etherium will still remain the best and largest platform for contract development, it may affect its price but eventually everything will be stable, so far etherium has successfully launched a lot of coins and tokens through its platform, it will take any other platform million miles to get there. Soon they will all be living in their separate world. Bnb should just be careful, they can't be master of all trades. A lot however will depend on how successful their first launch is.

AFAIK it is centralized. How could it be decentralized, if it is a new network backed up by a company. Even if it is a big company like Binance, you are still betting on the success of that company when you buy its shares. So no. I think it is not a competitor to Ether. Ether, as flawed as it is, is still much more decentralized than this new mainnet. If you want something that is really decentralized, it is Bitcoin.

There are over 100 competitor for Ethereum. All of them wants to take over Ethereum place... And no one can make it until now. I guess BNB can't take over also. Believe or not Ethereum is one of the decentralized network ever. So BNB won't be never. Always CZ can manipulate it. I think Binance is number one of this market but it is not about the network. It is about exchanges. Still, everything is possible in this market. We will watch and see soon. |

This will be great topic to discuss, In my opinion binance own chain is a big challenge for ethereum to stay on top as token creation platform. But, it's not stop over there, this will also a challenge for binance to keep their exchange become the best exchange in the world. If not, then binance chain will not really useful.

Binance chain is a centralized chain. If you will compare to ETH, then it will be centralized vs decentralized chain. Decentralized will win all the way.

It is possible that Binance will remove Ethereum. We saw what makes now announces that some project will migrate to Binance chain - it is pamped. Aother new project who make migration announcment is Atomic wallet and now thy raise 155% after publishing of announcment.

Binance chain would be a threat to all of the chain in the market, including the Ethereum blockchain, Bitcoin, EOS and etc. As we all know, binance has done very great in managing most of the transaction of most of the traders worldwide. If they would going to take the advantage to launch their own chain, other altcoins might be created which will eventually, might turn the market favor to BNB coin. |

I can agree with you about this and Binance Chain is really just a Binance exchange tool, but it certainly makes more projects use BNB in the future. It can be seen that ETH has not had any development in the last few months and this makes BNB have the best opportunity to develop and will certainly be an opponent that makes ETH change in the future . |

ETH is no more less centralized than Binance Chain. As long as Vitalik lives this is how it is going to be. Will Binance Chain be a threat to ETH, absolutely it will. If ETH wants to win this, it needs to show something real instead of empty promises. |

No. Ethereum still has the #2 position of the coinmarketcap and its way more popular than binance chain. Since it is an exchange coin, I don't think it would get popular around.
