Binance has such great strength because it has a strong support in the market. but if you notice that ethereum has built a very large community so that to defeat ethereum domination is a very heavy work. takes a long time to realize this, binance is a strong threat.

There are over 100 competitor for Ethereum. All of them wants to take over Ethereum place... And no one can make it until now.

I guess BNB can't take over also. Believe or not Ethereum is one of the decentralized network ever. So BNB won't be never. Always CZ can manipulate it. I think Binance is number one of this market but it is not about the network. It is about exchanges.

Binance chain would be a threat to all of the chain in the market, including the Ethereum blockchain, Bitcoin, EOS and etc. As we all know, binance has done very great in managing most of the transaction of most of the traders worldwide. ETH and Binance have different use case as stated above. Binance chain is a chain for trading, while ETH is a dApps platform. Interesting to see what "transition from being a company to a community" really means. IMO it's a centralized chain like EOS but with a fewer use case.

I like the way you gave an opinion mate because it is not one sided. For me it is too early to tell if Binance coin or BNB will take over Ethereum, why? Because as you have said there are hundreds or thousands of Altcoin competitors of Ethereum that has failed to take over due to Ethereum's strong community and there are a lot of developers that makes upgrades to the Ethereum platform. I also think so, at least for the very moment. Binance has grown big enough to get rid of undesired dependencies (ETH chain).

At this early stage, I think Binance chain cannot yet overtake Ethereum in terms of adoption and robustness since the later is not yet tested by the public and I guess it would need more time for continuous development and testing to be at par with Ethereum and that will be evident once its released to the public. Also, Ethereum has achieved solid growth over this years and still becoming more stronger, thanks to its roster of developers and projects residing on its ecosystem which are very essential its success.

With this in mind, crypto projects residing in Ethereum ecosystem that utilizes smart contracts technically cannot migrate to Binance chain unless otherwise Binance decides to upgrade to support smart contracts.

I'm not sure that Binance does not support smart contracts. But what about all the projects that migrate to Binance chain? They become tokens in this blockchain. So there is such a functional. But yes, it seems to me too early to talk about competition to Ethereum.

I think even if BNB would be as like as bitcoin it can never a treat to ethereum coin.
