Hack is the highest cryptocurrency crime .
I would have said scam, but I realized it's still same with havking of ones account because it revolves around loss of funds and getting the victims frustrated and depressed.

Mt Gox left the users by not paying their fund and hacking attacks happening with the name bitcoin are the biggest problems so far for the cryptocurrency. Then we could add news site spreading fake news also as the criminals.
Making people and threating them are different so news site are the biggest criminals in my point of view.

We've heard exchange getting hacked and millions of dollar worth crypto being stolen.
Last year, Myetherwallet was exposed and hacker penetrated and stole alot.
Scam ICO made away with millions in recent years.
Crypto traders and investors are taking precautions so as to not fall victim. This doesn't guarantee Scam free Crypto space coz right now someone is being scam.

Bitconnect is making hype of bitcoin with ponzi scheme, that's why in 2017 people are really hype with crypto and the price reached all time high. Since that time, people are not trusting anymore and this time is crypto building the trust again |

Many of the projects and bounties right now is scam although they reach the hard fork or the goal of the ICOs. Another example is the scamming in trading in which is top crime for now, many are getting scam because of lack of knowledge so Its better if we will have some good information and knowledge about trading.

Your right! The number of people who are getting scam nowadays become so big and it gets higher and higher time goes by. Enough knowledge and proper studying is really in need for you to avoid those scammers so better if you really know how to handle those kinds of people. The best thing to do is to study and read some article about trading and exchanging so that you may know what to do in a real situation in which scammers really want to do. For example if you really want to try some trading for just to gain some experience you can try darb to trade and exchange some earnings so that you can gain the actual experience for trading and exchanging some tokens and coins. |

Online crime is a big crime but many of scammer staying there for scam money. It is so bad news who are involved with investing and trading any exchange. But there is no possibility to arrest them for the scam. That's fully unfair for an innocent investor. My friend also a victim for hacked his myetherwallet. People still belive on crypto for getting money and knowledge. We can protest scam ICO by unity. |

Yes, the site for example MEW already tell you for security purpose, you should active 2FA, bookmark their website, etc
Actually we have been given the option to keep the wallet safer, i.e. with 2fa. as long as they don't have your cellphone then your wallet is safe. I almost had theft in my main wallet, and luckily I installed 2fa, otherwise it would be the biggest crime for me |

I do agree that scammers with online investment scheme are one of the biggest crimes in terms of cryptocurrency. For example, bitconnect and onecoin they have bagged billions of dollars of money from thousands of people all over the world. If we compare it to hacking of big websites such as the hacking incident at Bitfinex, Mtgox and other exchanges these online investment schemes using cryptocurrency as a facade have already made tons of money compared to what has lost with the hacking of big exchanges.

Everything in real life is able to be stolen as well, everything has a risk. Just because something is digital doesn't mean it has more risk. Its all just FUD from the mainstream bankers trying to bring bitcoin down, don't be swayed by their lives when we have a real chance to break free from their chains. |

Its sad to think that cryptocurrency is being used in all means of transactions in dark web; which is very alarming. Using their services in means of human trafficking, drugs, rebellion and any king of illegal activities. From this many people still holding-back to invest in this type of investment since its been ruined by these issues and it should be raise awareness by the management to regulate this fraud activities.

Actually in myetherwallet scam, I am one of the stupid bitcoiner that being scam. They sent an email as the same as the email of campaign manager at bounty asking for my info like KYC and asking my private keys.I thought it was legit because campaign manager was always sent an email update to me. So next day I found out that my coin was stole. So I can say that scam is the biggest crime here in cryptocurrency.
In which campaign bounty manager asking private key still you can remember that exactly? First of all make a sense why manager asking your personal key in email because he just doing job like your work update in spreadsheet and provide other service. And when you got a mail than you can asking manager. |

The bigegst crim in cryptocurrency is probably the "collapse" rom the "hacking" of Cryptsy. Some will say Mt. Gox. Both are debatable, because both are big crimes. It's sad that people will stopp to such low levels just to get money. I wonder how they sleep at night! They should be ashamed of themselves, stealing the people's money and thinking that they have a right to it.

I would be impossible to know which was the biggest crime from bitconnect to mt.gox hack scam because these are done under the radar and with these scams they were organized by criminals. So these type of individuals are untrusting so they could of sent these funds to some others which were not documented and so unknown to public knowledge.

Probably fraud is the biggest crime that can be in cryptocurrency.Also, of course, the illegal use of cryptocurrency in money laundering or terrorist financing.There is nothing else wrong with cryptocurrency. At the moment, most users of cryptocurrency have only become richer.
Definitely, fraudulent is not at all acceptable in this crypto forum. There are bunch of people's who make such money laundering activities, hacking others account and cheating others coins is really hard to accept. Especially the bounty managers who steal all the hard efforts once the job is done. |

For me all of the cyber attacks made by the hackers are all significant, even if it is not the officially recorded biggest crime in history but for me it is still the biggest. Hello, we are talking about millions of dollars here, that was huge.
But the most memorable cyber attack that I can't forget until now is the Coincheck Hacking Incident where around $400M was lost. I also add the 51% Attack toy list because its cool yet miserable story.

Biggest or smallest crime is a crime.
We already heard that there were many incidents happened in the last few years in the crypto industry especially in an illegal manner(which considered as crime).
Exchanger hacking is another but Ponzi scams, Pyramid schemes are generally typical ways to leads towards crime. And many new users who are completely unaware of trap get involved and become a victim. Many cloud mining sites are a scam. People get involved to get higher returns on their investment and lost their investment also.
In the same way, many ICO and altcoins also lead to a scam. Many investors suffer from their equity losses.
