I said this in response to another user who started a Yobit topic:

Quote
Definitely no need for more threads. Lock and archive.

So obviously I'm gonna go ahead and create one myself Grin

My excuse is that the list of participants that I was posting in actmyname's thread has grown to 350 438 (!!!) and doesn't fit into one post anymore so to avoid derailing that thread - here it is.

These are users who have "1450 COINS" in their signature (i.e. likely a Yobit signature) and have posted recently. It's not 100% complete because I may have missed some posts or not retrieved some user profiles yet. It may take up to 24 hours for new participants to show up.

"Before" is the average number of posts per day between April 12 - 18 (before the start of the Yobit campaign) and "now" is the number of posts in the last 24 hours. "AvgLen" is the average number of characters per post, excluding quotes, in the last 24 hours. "Merit" is the total amount of earned merit.

Big thanks to Vod and LoyceV for their respective resources.

List removed due to theymos trashcanning the whole campaign.

Finally there is some update from yobit (not sure they are official support team)

Quick update: We have found many users abusing our campaign with multiple accounts.  Anyone signing up multiple accounts WILL BE PERMANENTLY BANNED from this signature campaign.  We haven't gotten around to removing accounts with negative trust yet but they will also be removed after our next update.

Thanks for everyone that has joined and keep in mind that short spam posts will not be tolerated in the future.  If we find you burst posting short one liners you will be removed from this campaign when we do our manual checks.  Aim for at least 3-4 lines and please fix any grammatical errors and always stay on topic.

So hopefully most of the spammers and abusers will be removed. Smiley

I thought they were strictly against accepting negative trust participants for default trust. But there are many participants as we can see in the above list. Don't know if they would be paid or not ?

According to the post above yours - there's hope. I'd love to see all those scammers not getting paid for wasting their time. Hopefully their shitposts will get cleaned up too. I went through some post histories yesterday and bookmarked a few for reporting, but today some of the most egregious garbage has already been removed so apparently some users are doing a pretty good job reporting it to moderators. Keep it up!

to avoid derailing that thread...

Lol, that thread was off the rails from the OP.

Thanks for the list, I had asked LoyceV if he could provide an average earned merit of the participants of the campaign, your list makes it easy to calculate.  The 351 participants so far average 12.1 earned merit each.  That's actually more than I would have guessed, but there are 169 participants, almost half with 0 earned merit.

There are 364 participants now. I'll update the list perhaps when it gets to 400. So the average has gone down to 11.7. Very quality wow spam.

Although most of this seems to be good news, I'm not certain if I like the idea of being subjected to 3-4 lines of utter nonsense over a slew of insubstantial posts.

Yeah that's basically a cop out. They don't seem to be committed to quality.

Let me try to incorporate the links myself when I do the next refresh. I think the only stuff that my list is missing compared to yours is BPIP, trust, and earned merit links.

It is fairly easy for Yobit to detect multi accounts in their campaign because they need to sign up via their yobit account.

Obviously this is all their words and until it is clear these people are not getting paid, it will be difficult to verify.

I would anticipate the negative trust rule will not be enforced if their participants start getting negative trust in masse

Yobit only allows a person to register one user id per account. However, Yobit has close to zero KYC requirements. There is little stopping someone from have a different yobit account for each account here. Let's hope the worst spammers are not too bright and take the addtional steps needed to avoid detection.

You can create multiple Yobit accounts trivially (I presume), however this does not mean Yobit does not know when you have two accounts. They can look at your IP address, and browser fingerprint (including cookies they leave in your browser) to detect if you have multiple accounts, and the identities of the multiple accounts.

You generally have to know what you are doing to truly appear to only have one account when you have two. Based on the quality of posts being made by several people within the yobit campaign, I am going to assume they don't have the required knowledge to do this.

I'd say they're just trying to act like they care about these things by posting that until proven otherwise so that they can run the campaign for a week or two and they probably thinking the sensitivity all over the forum about this issue will be decreased by then and they can continue for a good long time (if we assume that's an actual yobit support posted that), red trusted users and multi accounts probably wouldn't be accepted either right now or soon since these exchanges tend to care a lot about their reputation specially when they don't have much reputation left to begin with like Yobit, but I really don't think the spam issue will be resolved much if any at all, you're practically calling for spams when you make 20 posts a day limit and you pay for that amount of posts.

And at last if this campaign is going to stay here and continue advertising considering many scam accusations against them here I'm just wondering how many more people will fall for their traps and used their exchange and how many more scam accusation thread will be opened soon about them here, and more importantly is it a good look for this forum having the banner of a known scammy exchange all over the pages ?, I mean they don't even have a limit for maximum number of participants they accept.
