Yes I am wearing the sig. Yes my post count is way up. Nope, the 2 have nothing to do with each other.

Stuck working while everyone else is enjoying Passover / Easter vacation. I have spent way too much time on call since Friday, sitting in this and a few other forums bored out of my skull. So yeah, you are going to see a lot more of me this week and probably next. Then back to lurking and 1 or 2 posts a day at most. Look at my post counts from early March last year till mid April. Big burst then too, we were short staffed so I was yet again stuck online with nothing to do and nobody to do it with.

I think the Honda forum is getting really tired of my posting of really bad jokes.

So yeah, big whoop I am making $0.85 a post. I could probably clear more money actually getting some of the stuff I have sitting around here posted on eBay.

As for Yobit being good or bad. I trust them more than poloniex or OKEx and a few others. But, I'm not even going to attempt to change peoples opinion on them. They suck, just like all the other exchanges. I think they suck less then some more then others. You might think otherwise.

-Dave

It looks like a ponzi pretending to be an exchange and that's based on my experience with them from a couple of years ago... looks like they went in even deeper since then, IEO and other nonsense.
I never looked at them like this. Never had problems in last couple of years, I even got bitcoin shit fork from them. To be honest, I have never payed too much attention to their not provably fair dice, shady investment box or hundreds dead shitcoins. I used them only as exchange and I have never had any problems with withdrawals. I always ignored their e-mails about ICO's they hold, but today I decided to actually look at latest ICO/IEO/whatever it is called these days:

Quote
YoBit IEO (ICO) in 37 hrs!

Dear YoBit Users!

New Yobit IEO (Rocket ICO) in 37 hrs!

Timer: https://yobit.net/en/ico/timer/

ICO coins: 779,900,000
ICO price: 0.00000100 (100 sat)
ICO amount: 779.9 btc

ICO rules:

- InvestBox Plan - 1% / hour

80% buy walls (you can sell after the trading start and be in profit):

0.00000110 (110 sat) - 77.99 btc
0.00000109 (109 sat) - 77.99 btc
0.00000108 (108 sat) - 77.99 btc
0.00000107 (107 sat) - 77.99 btc
0.00000106 (106 sat) - 77.99 btc
0.00000105 (105 sat) - 77.99 btc
0.00000104 (104 sat) - 77.99 btc
0.00000103 (103 sat) - 77.99 btc

- Buying all orders for 77.99 btc in 2 hours after trade start (one time) for current ICO/IEO

Sincerely yours,
Team of Yobit.Net

100% in 80% out with profit, 20% to yobit. And then I checked their other ICO's and they are nearly the same as this one.

Someone please look at all numbers and model and tell me that this is not ponzi.

It's important to remember that increases in "average daily posts" can happen not solely due to adding the signature. Drama means people will talk more, these threads mean yobit signature wearers will voice their opinions. Any way, I agree: the signature campaign did stir up the settled dust and dormant accounts have 100% come back alive to spam / "post".

Either they are getting paid for the bug of yobit or they think they will get the payment or they are just trying to spam.

Updated the list: 438 participants now.

Zombie attack: more than half of participants (267) didn't post at all during the week prior to the campaign.

Shitposting increase: 256 total posts per day before the campaign vs ~3700 posts in the last 24h (1400%+).

Average earned merit per participant: 11.1 (47% of participants have zero merits).

I'll do some cleanup later, particularly at the bottom of the list. For example Saint-loup removed the signature and stopped posting. This is skewing the numbers a little bit.

This is somewhat like when Stake Campaign has come into existence, am I right? I doubt that it will also last for more than a month or 2 if they continue on paying like that, especially if that number of participants are accepted.

So, we all have to endure it for the meantime.

I suspect Yobit will cut a lot of these participants, I don't really see them spending this much on bitcointalk advertising.  Then again they raised a few thousand bitcoins from their recent IEOs so who knows.

My guess is that the total number of participants will reach 700 within 48 hours.

Their strategy is to bring Yobit buzz on bitcointalk before their new IEO launch which will happen in a day or so so they will make few hundred bitcoins again.Sulrey they will cut most of their participants from this campaign after that IEO launch.

17600 new posts have been made in the last 24h (total, across the whole forum).
13660 new posts have been made in the last 24h outside of Bounties (Altcoins).

Yobit spam is ~20% of all posts, or ~26% of non-bounty posts.

Another way to look at this: they're creating nearly as much shit as bounty reports but it's spread across the whole forum and pretends to be non-shit. I think this calls for a new Yobit board and banning of Yobit signatures elsewhere Smiley

I suspect Yobit will cut a lot of these participants, I don't really see them spending this much on bitcointalk advertising.

I'm guessing we'll see "scam accusation" threads when shitposters realize they're not gonna get paid.

If Yobit is the same as they were before they will continue to pay everyone, if management has changed, everything will change and I don't know what to expect, however the fact that they paid me even almost 0.03 BTC I had in the signature wallet from the old signature shows good will. As a matter of fact they are not paying 0.00016 BTC per post but only 0.00005 BTC , at least that is what I get from a post. Shitposting unfortunately is a non curable disease in this forum from what I have seen during my 3 years stay in here.

I'm sorry but I think the script is not working properly. Many members have already left the campaign since yesterday or saturday and there are still in this list.
For example Fortify left the campaign since one or even 2 days now from what I've seen and its trust score is 136.
But we can see him as a participant with a trust score of only 30 in the list...  Undecided

As stated in the OP, it takes up to 24 hours for new participants to show up. Same when someone leaves the campaign. I don't get a notification when someone changed their signature so I have to keep re-checking 400+ user profiles to detect if someone left the campaign, and check ~5000 user profiles each day (every user who makes a post) to detect if someone joined the campaign.

Thanks for pointing out the trust score issue. I was probably logged in with the wrong account. Will fix in the next update.

Yobit spam is ... ~26% of non-bounty posts.
Dear lord. What is it going to take for some executive action here? Every other post being YoBit spam? 1 in 4 is utterly ridiculous. Everyone I'm sure has noticed the extra spam, and it's becoming increasingly tedious and difficult, near impossible in some sections, to wade through it all to try and hold a logical conversation. Even the threads complaining about the YoBit spam are being spammed by completely oblivious YoBit spammers. Accounts which have been inactive for months suddenly posting 20+/day.

Since they don't have a manager or a list of accepted users, they can quite easily turn around in 2 weeks' time and say "You were never accepted to the campaign, and so you will not be paid" after each account has already made ~300 posts. I'd like to take some small consolation in the fact that many of these spammers will never be paid, but it is everyone else trying to use the forum normal who is paying the price.

Ban the spammers and ban the campaign.

Eventually the funds of yobit will run out and just like before participants may not get paid for weeks which the reason they'd quit this campaign. It happened before.

Not all of those participants posts 20 a day. I gotta admit the campaign pays well. Other campaigns will soon raise their offers because of this. Think of this as a new competitor of the Mixers who pays good for their participants. Yobit still is in bitcoin business for the longest possible not sure if they find this toxic but looks like is a popular to them.

Sounds like they're swimming in money so funds will never be a problem. It's the willingness to part with them for mindless shite that might count.

And as users are now reporting being paid for previous campaigns then that might incentivise them to stick around for future assaults too. It's not as if 80 or more per cent will ever get into another campaign.

That 20% figure is a shocker.
