After the failure of the last flagship smartphone, I do not think that they will be written off with cryptocurrency. You need a lot of money to develop. And when you constantly fail, then investors may have questions about cryptocurrency. Samsung now need to work on its reputation.
Which smartphone your are talking about? Samsung S10+?

I don't think that mobile is a failure which already beat its rivals on specs and performance but sooner they will be in back when rivals launch new mobiles.

If they create samsung coin and they have good benefits to the cryptocurrenxy why not? But if they have bad effects to the crypto maybe they not create the coin. But we know samsung supported cryptocurecy so I don't see any problems with the samsung coin.
I do not think that this coin will just be needed by anyone. its use will be very narrow. so I think that this coin will be useless

Facebook, JP Morgan, Telegram, and now Samsung and Nike? If major brands such as these are beginning to adopt these types of technologies and create trendy new use cases for them it won't be long before they hit the mainstream and become more widely used in everyday life which will be a big plus for the entire cryptocurrency industry

Coindesk published a REPORT that Samsung may soon issue their own token (Samsung Coin). It is still not confirmed yet but news like this are most welcome. Let's see how things unfold.

I heard same this morning and I am not surprised a bit about this, Samsung is a company that have studied the Blockchain and know that the future is heading that way, this is why they are doing everything possible to make sure that they are part of the big companies that adopts crypto on time before we begin to see the economic crisis that will crash a lot of big companies that don't have any base on the Blockchain, what their doing is a smart move and I commend them for it, I hope other companies learn from them.

Is this news is real or just a way to sway the mind of the people? If it is true, the news will indeed make a good impression in the crypto market cryptocurrency is on the way of mass adoption. Lately, many organizations, authorities have shown interest in cryptocurrency. Among them is JP Morgan, Facebook, who are much into it by throwing their hand at them. This will make easier for cryptocurrency to be adopted widely. Is this news is real or just a way to sway the mind of the people? On the one hand it's good if companies like Samsung also jump the crypto train, but on the other hand not every company has to have its own coin? It would be better if big companies would use already existing blockchains instead of doing their own blockchain. But I do not want to complain. At least crypto finds more and more attention and this is the most important.  Wink

really? are they serious to make their own coin? if that is true then it is an opportunity to us to make money, many will buy samsung coin.
It's just a rumour and please you can read it carefully. Samsung coin still on the debate by its internal. This is just a piece of news that was containing a lot of rumour. If they will try to make their own coin and they will create an official announcement about that and spread it.
Whether it is rumor or no rumor, at least you have also been able to confirm it in your own statement too that there is an internal debate over it, which means there is a plan for them to do so and just discussing on its success.

It is still a very good thing that majority of them are thinking towards the line of blockchain technology. Proposing it alone is a great step, if they now decide not to execute it yet, but at least they all have the mindset about blockchain technology and cryptocurrency. I am sure that the outcome of their internal debate will favor the establishment of the coin, so our fingers are crossed and waiting to see the outcome.

I doubt there will be a Samsung coin. Samsung is a big company, and it's too risky if they want to make crypto. Crypto has high volatility, if the crypto market falls it will have a bad impact on Samsung shares. and I think they are aware of that.

they might only develop supporting infrastructure such as wallets and so on. because it can provide them with future benefits.

It is important for mass adoption that big corporations are entering the crypto market.
After the Enji wallet integration in Galaxy 10  it is still not clear what will Samsung coin
be used for. Hopefully more information will be announced soon.

It wouldn't be a surprise if Samsung launches its own cryptocurrency after it has expressed its interest in cryptocurrency through the integration of crypto wallet into its S10 phones. This could mean that Samsung is gradually creating awareness about the crypto world and its interest in it to its customers. The world will soon go cryptocurrency as these big companies and countries gradually join.

From what i am read, samsung coin will run in ethereum blockchain but still no updated about when launched. Its good for crypto market if samsung launch their own coin because its give more trust and confident from investor. Recently, facebook want to launch their own coin too and i think crypto already attract more big company to join in this industry

There are many rumours dominating the cryptocurrency space ranging from the Facebook coin, to the Samsung coin. Most of these information are not verified and are barely true.
I have seen lots of these news too a lot and I have not really seeing any of them planning on having their own utility token, although it will benefit them more if they really do since they already have a very strong users worldwide and also the fact they have a product that has been know already, so it would not be a difficult thing for them to succeed when they finally introduce it.

Since they have not full declared their intention to us directly and everything we have been seeing so far has been based on rumor, probably some other big companies would have grabbed this idea already and working on it, so it is not a bad thing if they come up with such rumor that will lead to others getting idea.

I really fancy this news but I hope rather than designing their own blockchain infrastructure that they adopt blockchain framework that are already established in the market.. Ethereum, EOS, ADA I believe a good enough to provide the infrastructure for the Samsung coin..

I love Samsung phones and their technologies but I really don't like their idea of having a Samsung coin, for they will be the only benefitor of that. Why do they need to open a coin for themselves when they are already successful on their own business?

Why not? Samsung is a big company and it can afford to create own coin that will be used in their smartphones or by Samsung Pay.

Indeed, such news should be seen as evidence that adoption is developing. So, bigger companies now want to continue with the right one. Lets wait, if there is a convenient coin, the positivity will continue.
