Most of them should be out by now. Blocks are less than 500 each now. Just check the block explorer it will say how many are mined because its ABE

You guys that mine might want to take a look at BonusCoin.  They launch on Wed and looks like they have a lot of the required infrastructure in place to have a great start.

That's what I'll be doing on Wed night   Grin

Some nice buy support building on Poloniex. Looks like a pump may be coming. It appears to be getting set up for one

All it need to do is break through that wall at 7, 8 and 9 and we're off to the races!

I told myself I wouldn't buy any more but I can't help myself.  Gonna move .3 btc and put up a nice little buy wall on 5 and move it to 6 once we move up and start gnawing on that wall at 7.

It's really hard to stop buying at this price. The good news, though, is that it's basically impossible to lose money long term if you buy now

Miners please trade with caution I will continue to Dump large volume on every Pump.

I only want the pumpers LTC! They are getting mad because I keep dumping on them.
leaving some gaps between dumps to allow for other miners to dump and get a share of the pumpers LTC
before this coin dies and the DEV moves on to the next scam coin. Enjoy!

Pumpers please continue to stack LTC up. I will sell you this crap every time. Thanks for the LTC Grin

Pumpers you may now resume the sock puppet show and call me a troll... Roll Eyes

anyone have any advice for what coin a cpu miner should be mining right now.?

Of course I will recommend TIX. Its a scrypt jane and the n is so high that its CPU only now. You won't find it on any profitability charts because its jane so you'll have to math it out yourself

Maybe i am not understanding how Reddit works, but why is our request to be added not on here:

http://www.reddit.com/r/coinedup

but on here: http://www.reddit.com/r/CoinedUp/comments/210rf3/please_consider_diem_the_sha256_antipaidvoting

Maybe it doesn't matter? I think that Coinedup's mBTC market could be good for this coin.

Don't know. It's pretty obvious who is doing the downvoting, though

PSA:

As everyone knows (or should know) POW mining ensures network security, protects from 51% attacks and all that important stuff.
If there is no financial incentive to mine (secure the network), the coin might get attacked and die. I will also remind to everyone
that these kind of attacks are possible and happened before. Right now it costs less than 10k USD (3 TH/S ASIC) to attack the DIEM network with 51% attack.

if block reward continues to halve it will reach less than 1 DIEM per block in 8 days (today it's 488 DIEM per block).
There will be no incentive to mine for block rewards and DIEM network becomes insecure and can no longer be relied upon for transactions.

More information:
http://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/658/what-can-an-attacker-with-51-of-hash-power-do
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Double-spending#.3E50.25_attack

Situation now:
Network hashrate dropping everyday.
Two biggest pools are only: 1 TH/s
https://cdc.hardcoreminers.com/index.php only 960 GH/S
https://cdc.suprnova.cc/ 62 GH/S

Our options:
1. Do nothing. Wait and see what happens.
2. Raise transaction fees to 1-1000 DIEM per tx. Might not work, because there is little interest in carpediem coin so far and few transactions.
3. Hard fork and implement another mining incentive
  3.1 Proof of stake mining
3.2 Add another mining algo, with separate difficulty like Myriad and then add more rewards to support mining
3.3 Just add yearly predictable block rewards like dogecoin, for 100-1000 mln per year

I don't know what dev is planning to do, but just trying to get DIEM on more exchanges won't solve this problem, because demand for DIEM is pretty abysmal right now and just putting coin on exchanges does nothing for the demand side.

Questions and suggestions welcome!

The only fair option is raising transaction fees when mining hits 0, which I already suggested in our PM's. Otherwise it ruins the entire idea

This is the most likely scenario that will happen when rewards hit 0, otherwise we are artificially raising the max coins, which eliminates the whole point of daily halving

So transaction fees as proof of stake to maintain the network?
