Well its going now but I am still out of sync. I had to dl the new version for it to work.

I'm showing as out of synch too, network stalled yesterday. No blocks created since 791066.
According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

The same here. Looks like a lot of people followed your advice to stop staking and send their coins to exchanges.

Sometimes closing the wallet and firing it up again can help. We're on 791100 now.

https://bittrex.com/Status

crypts wallet is hanging behind or is on a different fork - which would be bad

I'll create a new bootstrap file which will take you up to the latest block.

This is why I have always felt keeping some level of POW in a coin is important. People don't tend to want to keep their wallets open 24/7.
I would open mine to help things move a little, but all my coins are in limbo somewhere just outside of Bittrex...

there are more peers coming online - nice :-)

Some of you still seem to be using the old wallet. You can get the latest version for your OS via GitHub here:

https://github.com/Lefter1s/CAIx/releases

Also in case you are using the bootstrap file be aware that it might take the wallet some time (like houres) to process the whole chain and come up.

So where are we all at with our immature stakes? I need 3 more for my next one to mature. Then 8, then 204.

So, I got some good, and some bad news.

The bad news, CAIx second largest holder has lost his wallet due to accidental deletion and does not have a backup. This is about 10% of the supply. This is in part why the network is having troubles moving. He's no longer staking.

The good news, it means the usable supply is less than 1.5m now. But that's only useful if the network can move again. Then maybe we can look at a hard fork to reduce the number of required confirmations which is what is really killing it.

My most mature stake still requires 432 confirmations  Undecided

I see the network is rolling already. Good. Bittrex will delist the coin, but that doesn't matter. We can still buy it on Cryptsy Smiley

I've sent a request to Cryptsy yesterday asking if they would help us get the network moving again... I must say, I'm amazed how fast they responded and enabled staking on their wallet  Smiley

Hello xxxx

I am sorry to hear about the unfortunate situation. I hope everything works out an they get their coins back. We only keep a small portion in the hot wallet but for now I have enabled staking on it. Ill keep an eye on it and may have to shut it down if it becomes too slow. But I dont think that will be an issue.

Good luck with everything Smiley

The network seems to be moving pretty smoothly for now, hope it stays that way.
