I think taht IEOs are more profitable or less loseable than ICOs.
They are almost same. The main mechanism behind is fund raising. And in ico the whole fund thing is not easy. Cause in the market there are lots of scammers and people who already have failed project. And most of the time in icos people got scammed. So in ieo method the main thing is you don't have to give your investment to any not so trusted people.  In ieo, the fund is raised by a exchange and almost every big cap coin have the wish to launch on binance.

I cannot say whether IEO is profitable that ICO but what i can say is that IEO is more transparent than ICO because you already know the worth of the token you are investing in because it is already trading. One of the issue of ICO is that some team devalue the token themselves in other to stop people from dumping and  this act make investors feel cheated. Agreed, for short term investment IEO is a good one because the token can get easily listed on the same exchange of the IEO released. So it's good for a quick profit, especially on big exchange like binance. Actually not all token get increase more than 100% after listed in market, i saw some tokens go down too.

For me, the advantage of the IEO is that the coin will in any case be added for trading on the exchange where this IEO was held.

I am agree, the advantages of IEOs is the coin get listed in exchanger. Most ICOs should wait long time before getting listed in exchanger because the developers team should negotiate with exchanger team and preparing the project
