As you know IEO trend is growing but i feel IEO is profitable only for those who invested in token sale but who have purchased altcoin after launched they suffer loss majority of the investors ,as the BTT and some other altcoin examples of IEO.

A few things that we need to know before to participate on that 2 kinds of funding a project, first we need to know if this is for a long term second if this is have a good product that can we use as a collateral so we can avoid the losses of money it is basic to know, But its hard to trust them because of a lots scammers around us.  IEO was supposed to bring hope to investors again after losing that much in ICOs. but as it is , some IEOs are not better than ICOs. they still scam investors and investors still lose money in IEO just like what was happening in ICO. the only different is that some IEO carried out on good Exchange like Binance gives investors  good  profits. but those on other useless exchanges do not go anywhere.

For IEO it seems like a short-term investment because after a few days, prices usually start to fall after an increase. In my opinion, IEO might be a good alternative as a short-term investment but not all IEOs are good and profitable and in my opinion it's better to invest in IEO held by large exchangers

What are your criteria to consider and IEO asset as long term?
There's no changes on the trend, even before when ICO was still popular, it could rise or fall as majority of the investors are looking for short term profit, however as we can see there are also altcoins which rise after years and they provided great return to investors, so as long as they still exist, they have a chance to grow in the long term as no team in a certain project that would start an IEO with short term plan only.
