There are DEX's platform but none of them are truly decentralized. What we need now is strong enforcement against Scam Tactics of Exchange platforms. Exchange Industry should be highly regulated and properly insured. So in case of hack all users are somewhat secured on their deposit and holdings.

indeed, we already know that we have a good list of exchanges and reputable exchanges so we can choose them to trade and we don't have to use all of the funds to trade. maybe, we can spread the funds into exchanges and our wallet so if we sell the coin in the exchange, and we still have another amount as the investment type.

I think government intervention will mean a lot, although that is if cryptocurrency is still decentralized, atleast to maintain its sole purpose and vitality.
What i am saying invariably is if those exchanges can be fully registered with the government and every necessary document submitted in order to curtail any future occurrence of theft, the better.
Then all projects should also be under a regulatory body to avoid scam.

I think so, the problem is that there are many worthless and shitprojects that are circulating in the market, and investor who cannot distinguish them become victims. we need like a third party or regulator, where filtering projects, and listed them which are recommended with strict conditions, so investors can choose quality projects

That binance hacked incident really wake me up though. No exchange that really safe from hacker, always be careful about your money on exchanges site and always be careful in this online world especially cryptocurrency. So many hackers and bad people in crypto world, so be careful folks.

Honestly, I don't think we can do much about this other then put pressure on exchanges and online wallets to upragde their security levels. Hackers are everywhere and you gotta be sure they are not getting away easy because they know they have the advantage since they are the ones who are stealing from exchanges because of their bad security.

The truth is that online wallets and exchanges already have all the incentives to implement the best security they can since not doing so will lead them to getting hacked frequently and eventually they will lose the trust of cryptocurrency holders, so trying to pressure them to improve their security will not work, if you really want to secure your coins you have no other option but to secure your coins yourself, without a doubt this is hard but the consequences of not doing it are so bad that we do not really have a choice.
