Its so much complicated especially for the investors that holding up their large amount of coins. But for everyone to be safe, it is better to exchange their tokens into their crypto wallets. Also, people should avoid joining or visiting sites that seems to promote some kind of free money in the form of crypto airdrops. The crypto space currently is made up people are just concern about cheating others and stealing off other investment. So to be safe your coins coming from any project like the dencoins be knowledgeable in checking the backgrounds of any exchangers before exchanging.

This are mush why many see crypto as a step to fraud but with the technology I think we need a better understanding and much way security to protect our funds as many are using their time to develop and dona good deal , some are using their time to spoil others great deal which are why we are in the messnof hacking as they are looking to reap where they didn't plant.

it is difficult to be able to determine a place of fraud or not because all investment sites or exchanges all have the potential to scam and make many people lose.

The only thing that comes to my mind are the regulations. In my opinion we need to create some art of agency that is going to check the projects and their bounties if they are legit or not. But this will harm the anonymity on the other side.

Most of the hacking that occurs happens on exchanges, hence keeping huge sums of money on exchanges is never a good idea. You should have hard wallets which you have access to the private key, you can keep your coins there instead.

Yeah that is so bad, we need to stop this problem as soon as possible.
The first time we have to extra careful to choose some project.
Don't just give KYC if that ICO is not really good amd you have a doubt of it.
Keep extra your PK wallet and don't ever let the other people have that access.

One of the biggest challenges right now in crypto space is insecurity. Scams and hacks are on the rise, especially now that the market is experiencing an uptrend. Let's be careful, even with exchanges we use. For instance, bitebtc : many can't withdraw from that exchange, so you don't need a voodoo priest to tell you it's scam. Also, do not click any link you see, be guided. Do not invest blindly!

The need of money and greed won't stop hackers and scammers. Sometimes it could be someone in the exchange who stole the cryptocurrencies. Cryptocurrencies wallets are just numbers and that make them difficult to tract. And every exchanges and people should be aware of the wallets who got hacked. And there is maybe no mecanism to stop them from transfering the stolen coins to other wallets and exchanges.
If you don't want to trade for a certain time, it is better to keep your cryptos in your own wallets.

A year ago there was such a project as CryptoPolice. It was designed to fight intruders. But he became an ordinary scammer. Nothing can be done about this if regulators are not implemented in the industry.

Nothing we can do about it especially most of the cryptocurrency, services and projects are full of anonymity it's easily for them to scam people knowing that their anonymity will not be compromised the only thing we can do right now is to be careful in every actions we are going to do. As much as possible let's think that everyone in this industry is scammer or will scam you and use a reliable third party to do transactions.

https://news.yahoo.com/cryptocurrency-thefts-fraud-hit-1-211446327.html

In Q1 alone of 2019 there was $356m in theft of digital currencies from exchanges and scams while losses from fraud hit 851m. This number includes the QuadrigaX scam which accounts to about $134m in total losses.

What can we do to help stop these from happening and getting worse?

Its need government hand. Like or not, regulation needed to prevent more fraud in crypto space. Exchangers should be regulated but its much better if we are not store our coin or token in exchangers wallet.

We can't probably stop crypto crimes in the market but we can lessen it. All we can do is to be safe, we need to be careful in any cryptocurrency or in any project we are joining. Because not every project are safe and real. So for me, to help cryptomarket from getting worse of having crimes let just comply to join who owns a platforms like pimoncoin that keep their team safe and sound through investment.

Indeed, what we need is good regulation from government. If government regulating cryptocurrency ICOs or market, i am believe it will prevent many scammers and much money will save and investor will come to market

Scam in crypto space increasing and i think what we can do is always careful and make research first before make investment. Beside that, with many hacking on exchangers, its more safe if we store our coin or token in our own wallet, not store it in exchangers wallet

If ony we can vividly know these scam projects and stop promoting or investing in them, I believe the crime rate will reduce. Also, on the part of Bounty, managers should try to know the projects that are scam cos it contributes so much. Finally, regulation is the main deal to wipe out scam and reduce crime in the space.

yes all of this depends on the people concerned. choose people who are truly trusted, so you might be able to avoid crimes such as fraud. knowing the biography of the person in question, it can be important to avoid scammers in the future.

these are sad numbers... and they undoubtedly affect crypto space
Besides the obvious increment on security measures, there is also education of crypto users. If people learn the steps and safe behaviour, the scam rate will fall...
I think the most important thing is to not leave your money on any centralized exchange

Since Cypto is decentralised there is no wonder of having a crypto crime, unlike in our economy that is being handle by the government. The Financial Action Task Force was created to impose sanctions on countries who fail to act against money-laundering. This is also need in crypto world in order to lessen the crypto crime especially in terms of investment. This will become possible only if crypto will be centralised.

While i felt so bad to the victims, but the thing we must understand is that, is awareness. We have to understand that people are becoming greedy nowadays, and we as a user and a community, we must be aware of what projects we are investing in, just invest what you can afford to lose, otherwise you will lose a lot or win a lot.

that is gambling that we really need to understand from the start and everyone who invests in crypto should know that. the market can benefit you, but they can also take your money and lose it.
