Crypto Crime is getting Worse, what do we do?

We have now entered a period where we need to be more careful. Why do you think? Because Bitcoin price has risen. Altcoin prices rose. The interest of fraudsters has moved into this area. Now we have to be more careful when investing.

Everyone needs to be more careful because scammers and hackers are on the look out to fraudulently steal our crypto holdings. I keep getting scam mails and I don't even click on the link, I just report to avoid malware. Crypto crime is increasing drastically, I see HYIPs too on telegram and people still fall prey.

In Q1 alone of 2019 there was $356m in theft of digital currencies from exchanges and scams while losses from fraud hit 851m. This number includes the QuadrigaX scam which accounts to about $134m in total losses.

What can we do to help stop these from happening and getting worse?

For me, I think what we need to do now is to practice doing thorough research about certain projects and we must also include malicious and suspected scam exchanges to be able to spread awareness to the people within the forum so that they will be informed and be knowledgeable enough specially for the part of the newbies who are just getting started into exploring their cryptocurrency experience in which we do not want them to easily give up and be traumatized because of falling into scam projects. So to be able to make it possible, we must take part on spreading awareness once we found something really helpful for everyone so that we can create a safe working space for all of us to avoid getting into scams and lessen or much better totally no one will become a victim of such schemes. If we will be helping each other out, we will worry less and can work on safely and enjoy getting into cryptocurrencies edploring and maximizing the whole out of it.

That was too hard to remove all kind of scam and theft because they want easy money. All we can do is to being aware from our money especially from investment that we going to take. But we can stop it because some investment do paid but for a longer of time they didn't for them to get an easy profit.

Make sure your private key is safe. It is very important. Not your PK not your money

the system is decentralized but the fact that we are still using decentralized exchange, the power of the government to regulate will be effected.

As long as there are no regulations in all countries regarding cryptocurrency, it is difficult to stem crime in the cryptocurrency market. The perpetrators are difficult to be snared because it is difficult to report and in my opinion there should be an authority that oversees the sale of tokens or about projects being carried out by the developer team so that investors feel they are not deceived

if we talk about hacked accounts, stuck on a scam project, then it's not just for beginners because most of the victims of investment and even the hacked exchanges have all been good at keeping their assets and themselves safe. so nothing is safe in this circle and all of that is a risk we should be aware of

In order not to be a victim of the crypto crimes happening in the crypto ecosystem, never keep or save your crypto coins or tokens on any exchange platforms, withdraw everything into your personal crypto wallet.
