According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

The other day I deposited on Kryptono and placed a trade, everything is working fine.
Yesterday as I about to log-in, I input my 2FA (correct and updated one) but it is not working. That didn't happen before but as I progress, I happen to find out that my account is LOCKED!

Follow this link below for reference :
https://kryptono.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360020056291-7-What-if-I-have-my-account-locked-due-to-trying-to-input-2FA-so-many-times-
https://kryptono.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360019911172-8-How-to-unlock-my-account-

What's great about this is that the update was made only 9 days ago and maybe that happens why my 2FA aren't working, because they want me to do KYC!

To recover my account, they want my identity, address, ID card, and etc. The worst idea ever is to lock your account because you miss on putting CORRECT 2FA code.

For those who want to trade on kryptono exchange, please be aware that this might also happen on you, again, I input the correct 2FA code but yet this happen. They want to steal your identity out of useless reasons. STAY AWAY!

Privacy is real important, so as your identity, don't let it get stolen.
It is possible that this people are carrying out some shady activities, this is why we have to be very careful before joining any platform and make sure we make a good research about the platform and not just join because of the goods thing we here that they are going to deliver, but you could still try carrying out the verification since you don't really have a choice right now and see what happens next, it's an advice though, you could make your own decision.

I do not agree with you, any sensible company that protects the interest of his customers would do the same thing as they did, probably you were using code generated by another company on your authenticator thinking you were applying there, you inputted a wrong code several times, and the best would be for them to lock your account temporarily for security reason.

The ATM you use, if you put in bad code 5 times, what will happen? They will lock your account pending the time you lay complain or come for proper verification. What if it was a hacker that was trying to guess code to have access to your account ?

The best thing they would have done to unlock your account back to be sure it is still the rightful owner requesting for the account to be unlocked is to ask for KYC, so what is all the issue here ?

Definitely I don't welcome this idea of KYC on Exchangers any more they are now using users information for some bad stuff online. I definitely think there should be some regulations covering this Exchangers

Thank you for this information. It's terrible. I never use little-known exchanges. After all, we are dealing with our money, so we must be careful.

I hope that you are not losing big money in that exchange.
I think it's normal if the exchanges are asking about KYC because they are bond with the regulations and maybe that site needs you to complete the KYC.
Did you finally contact their staff to help you to solve the problem?
And if the only way for you to unlocked the account is by fills the KYC, then you need to do what they said, but that is only if you want to trade in that site.
I don’t know why many people keep complaining unnecessarily about this KYC issue, we already know that this requirement is what many of them are now imposing and you will never see a centralized exchange that would not request for one now, so instead of proving too stubborn to start having all these issue of locked account, we can just simply do the KYC or move to a decentralized exchange, after all, not many of them forced us to register with them, we are the one that willingly chose them, and the exchange he chose to use is even not a popular one for that matter, so he should deal with his challenge.

Yeah you are right, it's my fault in the first place to use the exchange. And No I did not enter other 2FA code, maybe they are trying how their new rule takes place, like beta, every company did that. As of doing KYC, they didnt even have a list of Identification that is valid per country, at once they requested me identifications like as of European countries  Grin

we should indeed be careful with this, the OP is very good to disseminate this news, this can be a signpost to be careful for traders if you want to trade on the exchanger.
even though we cannot directly accuse them of not being good, because maybe their KYC is in the verification process.

This might not be the most pleasant of ways to ask for KYC as they made you feel as if you were trap on something but you should be happy that they are asking for KYC, it only means that they are following the the requirements of the law. If they are legally operating and is a registered company then asking for a KYC is one of the given requirements for their exchange. You won't see any stock or foreign exchange broker having an "anonymous" feature because all of them are running under the government legally.

All you people who say you are all for KYC are just asking for trouble. Who cares about money laundering, that is not your problem. Why should you care? This is CRYPTO. It transcends borders. It is the world economy. No country can control crypto, and it will eventually topple governments. Exchanges should only perform KYC for fiat trading (and why would anybody want to sell their valuable crypto for some country's fake play-money shitcoin?). KYC is just another way you volunteer your servitude to whatever country you just happened to be born in (but 99% of the time it is some foreign exchange asking for your private information which is none of their business and you couldn't do anything about it if they SOLD YOUR IDENTITY anyway). It's also the best way to go to prison for a crime you didn't commit because some asshat used your documents to commit a crime. Stop using KYC shitexchanges who bow down to their lord and savior government and get on-board with decentralized trading. At MOST you should only have one trusted exchange to swap your fiat shit-money for crypto (if you must), and from there ONLY DEAL IN CRYPTO. You know you can get credit/debit cards for crypto now? They work all over the world to buy anything any other credit/debit card can buy.

If you absolutely MUST do KYC, then USE FAKE DOCUMENTS. Who cares? If you are in a country where using fake documents for an exchange is a crime (which afaik does not happen ANYWHERE) then use them on an exchange in another country. The russian police can't kick in your door at home (unless you happen to live in russia).

STOP BUYING INTO THIS FAKE TERRORISM / DRUG MONEY EXCUSE. IT'S A LIE. WAKE UP. YOU ARE HELPING NOBODY BY DOING KYC AND YOUR VIRTUE SIGNALLING AND SHILLING JUST MAKES YOU LOOK LIKE A FOOL.

The truth is they couldn't stop drug money or terrorist money in crypto even if they wanted to. It is also the truth that most use the USD, gold jewelry or art to move money anyway. Don't be stupid! It is their war, not yours.

A kind of exchange like kryptono was really scared, the platform stole your identity in which is not good anyway.
It is still safe to use an exchange that has good credibility in the market, perhaps you can only create an account in the
unknown platform but never submit your KYC. I guess next time you do this again and always used or submit kyc on
which is listed always on top at the coinmarketcap.

This information is priceless and an information for all traders to adhere to. Do not trad on any exchange of which you are not sure of its credibility and how reliable the exchange is. Many traders have lost huge amount of money as a result of many not trust worthy enough,  some exchange deduct hidden transactions charges and some even go to the extent of closing up with traders funds. So to be safe as a trader, trade only on trusted exchange

This is really a very useful information for those who specialize in margin trading.
We really need to read the exchange's guidelines and rules before joining.
Some exchanges have quite strange rules, such as Kryptono. so we should read a lot and understand the functions of exchanges, then decide whether to join or not.
but I recommend everyone to do KYC because it is very important in withdrawing your money.
