Hello Guys, I'd like to ask the help of the community again.

My story in short version is the following:

I've got a small mining operation, and couple of days ago I needed to make space for a new miner, and I thought if I'm here,I'm going to replace my antminers to achieve a better airflow management. Unplugged them, placed them in their new place, plugged them back, and i DID NOT change anything. Same router, internet connection, psu, cables, everything and they have started to misbehave. By misbehaving I mean they've started to stop mining completely, rebooting them remotely did nothing to them, AND the normal way of restarting them physically failed as well, by plugging them out and in they were not able to start mining either. Right now,the only way to restart them is to reinstall their firmware and hope for the best, but still they will just simply stop mining and go into a circle of continuously restarting, or trying to restart at least.

The beginning of this restarting cycle can begin anywhere from 30minutes to 9-10 hours.

This happened to 6(!)of my total 9 antminers.

Another interesting thing that one or two can make is after not being able to hash, the green light is continuously on.

Here you can see my kernel log that the miner produces after it stops hashing:

Since then, I have tried to only run one machine, bought new router, new switch, new internet, new Ethernet cables, trying out compatible OFFICIAL firmware, but to no prevail.

I would really appreciate some new perspective, I might be missing something.

Thank you in advance,
Csavar.

Edit: I might have made the mistake - as it was pointed out- that i've installed the 2019 software and that may cause this problem. If that is the case, what are my options? I've tried since the "the package to fix upgrade failure" and installed the 2018 version, but that still doesn't seem to help.

You mention firmware  being official

bitmain  has

2019 march
2018 dec
2018 nov

so before you came here for help you say you put in firmware.

May I ask  which one of the above did you put in?

Hint 2019 march = you fucked up

2018 dec can be worked with
2018 nov can be worked with

I did install the 2019 march as well, yes since it didnt show any warnings i shouldnt- and i made the mistake of not reading on the net or asking here, but now they running the 2017 autofrequency version, but still not working.
It means i fucked up big time?
Is there a solution or i have to buy new motherboards?

Can you try to change your fan speed and change your frequency below 700 or set it to 550 if there's an option and increase the fan speed to higher around 85% to 90%.

If you don't know how to change it you can follow this guide Solution for ANTMINER S9 FANS SPEED Up & Down every 20 Seconds.
It may guide you to enable or show the hidden menu from the s9 dashboard.

I think if you upgraded the miner's firmware to 2019 firmware you can still downgrade the firmware but the problem the firmware will end up t9+ which is low hashrate around 10.5th/s.

You can find the guide of making program recovery from here S9 series (S9, S9i, S9j, S9 Hydro) Control Board Program Recovery

hmmm   that is not possible if you put in 2019 march it won't allow changing back to 2017 or 2018  without a lot of effort.

So how about a screen shot of what firmware  is running. the date of the firmware should show on one of the pages.

Hello guys!

So I was able to access my miners, and brought one faulty home to do what you have suggested.
I did the control board recovery as BitMaxz suggested, and was able to do it, i have both lights flashing and accessing the miner, but I dont see the usual miner interface, this comes up rather:

Any tips on how to advance?

philipma1957 you were right, the miners are running the 2017 software, at least that's what they show.

On the other hand, ive tested this in the past two days, they do stop hashing at 7pm my local time. this is getting more and more interesting.

Are you sure that you download the exact SD card image from bitmain? It seems the dashboard shows the cyclone kit for c5 board?

This should be the right link t9+ -SD Tools.zip

The advice of BitMaxz's seems to have taken effect. Reflashing the firmware that way seems to have solved the problem.

Thank you for everyone helping me out.
