I don't know what to say but I know what you're feeling right now. Close to wiping out your entire portfolio is a severe, I don't have such strategies for recovering. If you still have those altcoins and much better if you had bitcoin there, you should keep on holding it. I'm expecting that you are still holding it and never sold any amount because of the panic that it created. The best thing that you can do is to go all in with bitcoin with that kind percentage of loss.

Hey guys, my friends and I were down 90% of our crypto portfolio. We bought at the highs and we bought shitcoins. Now we are still down significantly and i just want to ask if you guys have strategy to recover from this? Cheers!
In this market situation its so difficult to recover your fund because of altcoin down word slopping. So first of all u need to convert altcoin to btc then hold after the market positive situation you then buy altcoin.

If the market down for 90 percent then better to wait for a long time until the market recovers market downtime is temporary but recovery depends on market positive news so we need to hodl with patience

You just read carefully in that guy expectation. Already they maintain it was a shitcoin so surely it will never move to same range again. Most of the investors are invest in top or good growing cryptocurrency so these kind of investment is hold for longterm. But if they sell soon 10 percentage is safe or better move to some other good cryptocurrency is the right way.

Restart your portfolio and try to never did the same mistake again.

Shitcoins will never rise again. Therefore no sense of waiting it to become bloom again. They are basically dead projects now.

Move on and accept all the losses you have made.

The moment it became 50% , 60%, 70%, 80% etc. you should already plan or know what to do.

It's normal to have a 90% loss on some of the average traders. At some of the cases, since they already allow it to went below on that level, they will just continue to HODL and expect for ris.  While doing that, they acquiring more. But that is only applicable to those coins that is worth to put a risks.

You are asking a strategy with your current shitcoins? Considered that as loss already as no way you can recovered from that. They will not be called shit if their development still continues by now.

Recovery?

Don't rush thing up because you will end up on selling all of those shitcoins you do hold.If I were you I would just simply hold those coins and
forget for sometime and instead on minding or stressing yourself out on how to get out of negative then better to find out alternatives on how
to make profits on other investments.

If I were you, the first thing I would do is study how to trade like a professional. If you succeed in this, get rid of your smallest bags which looks dead (no dev, abandoned, etc). Sell them for BTC. Use this BTC to trade.

The most promising ones you keep for the next three years, you never know. You can also try to increase the size of these bags by trading them.

Bitcoin fell 85% (from $20K to $3K), Ethereum went down by 90%. But see here we are, still believing in cryptocurrencies and surviving. If it was any other class of security, say stock or asset, I would straight away tell you to sell for whatever you can recover but cryptocurrencies are different. They are more volatile, low capped and have potential to recover even 99% of fall. However, not all coins are same, you yourself mentioned that you bought shitcoins. On what premises are you declaring them shitcoins? Low volume, no update, no news? If you think they are now stagnant and cannot turn green at all then sell them right away don't wait more. But if they are high volume coins and are currently down (like WAVES) then it's better to wait and hold. When general bullish trend comes, every high capped cryptocurrency blossoms!

Buy coins and tokens with small capitalization and place orders 50-70 % higher than the purchase rate.Naturally, before buying you need to explore the graphics to buy only at a low rate. I also advise you to buy these tokens only on major exchanges, such as Bittrex. Be sure to buy several of these tokens, not one.

You are so sure that you are holding shit coins so no recovering from that. Salvage that 10% remaining and start a new portfolio. You will need new capital.  You need to start working if you do not have new capital to reboot your portfolio. This time invest wisely. Choose only solid crypto in terms of fundamentals and development. The market is still down, so if you invest now, there is a lot of profit waiting.

Since you told us that they are shitcoins, better to accept the fact that you won't recover it by just keeping or holding it and wait until it come back it its ATH. Better to just sell it and invest it into legit coins such as Bitcoin and Ethereum.

I have only been able to recover from a loss of such magnitude in the Forex market, but in the crypto market it seems to me practically impossible because in the process of fall-recovery, many of the cryptos in which we invest our capital will die on the way or they will become failed projects, so it will be impossible to recover even a fraction of our investment, so I think you should feel satisfied if you are able to recover at least some of the lost to continue buying bitcoin and ether.

Learn how to hold that coin and do trading, you can’t just sell it and suffer from a big mistake. Just forget it for now, do learn how to trade or even how to join signature campaign and you can easily get back the money. When the market recovers, you can have profit on your investment.

If you still have a chance then sell those shitcoins for ETH or any other stable coin when the market is stable or if there are losses still going on I think that way will ensure you maintain a stable asset to avoid to much lost in your part

Listen OP. You had some money and instead of buying one or two good cars you bought 10 pieces of scrap metal formed in the shape of cars. You didn't notice it or ignored it and started driving around until most of your scrap cars broke down and you're asking us to help you turn them back into the money you had paid for them. Is this a joke?
You gained some knowledge in this bear market. Use it to start from scratch.

Do you see potential and progress on the coins that you hold? if yes then just hold it until some good news happens them because either way you are at loss now  if you sell your potential altcoins to bitcoin right now then you lose. If all your altcoins are shitcoin just sell it already and buy some top 10 in cmc, the market is in a good condition right now and you might have the better chance to recover from it.

This will be difficult because you and your friends hold shitcoins. If I were you, I would sell all of those shitcoins, no matter what the valueis, and move them to bitcoin. Of course, it won't recover your previous losses instantly but at least you are safe enough with bitcoin as your investment tool instead of shitcoins that will give you more losses if you keep holding it.
