Several attempts have already been made to launch cryptocurrencies supposedly backed by commodities, and all have been a great failure (in fact, the controversial Petro of Nicolás Maduro was supposedly backed by Venezuela's oil and diamond reserves as well). There are several studies and online analysis that show why a cryptocurrency backed by this type of assets will never be viable, so I do not see any reason why this failed project can even remotely resemble the precious bitcoin.

Not even close to Bitcoin.  Maybe this is better than any other SHITCOINS out there. I read their thread and the OP of the thread has a red trust already almost the same as Quickseller and he is promoting an ICO that is a scam. Plagiarized whitepapers etc. I don't think that this is better than Bitcoin. Although the OP is updating even he has red trust, this is considered a fraud project and nobody must fall into their trap.  |

No one of altcoins can beat the bitcoin since the bitcoin from the beginning is really great and have already strong platform and blockchain technology that is why many investors are really believe in bitcoin and in the future bitcoin will give huge of price.

I am not sure that bitcoin can be defeated by other altcoins. Maybe this is only propaganang people are nosy. They want to break the concentration of traders. Don't be fooled, bitcoin will never be defeated by other altcoins.

The link you posted here is shown clearly that the forum member that posted the announcement have bunch of negative trust meaning its not even worth of consideration if it's better than bitcoin or not because he might be a scammer |

Why should that coin better than bitcoin, i think that the bitcoin is the road opener and will remain for long time number 1, also all coins named fat bitcoin or bitcoin gold or any other with bitcoin on name are just made for someone who want to make money and never will take bitcoin place.
Yeah that's correct mate I think the op didn't understand well the improtance of bitcoin, the op promoting shitcoins and he dreaming in their mind that shitcoins are better to the king. |

Imagine you comparing what hasn't form to what already existing and doing well, you just missed it you can be certain of the project that will be better than bitcoin in future, you just need to believe in them and not be confused that it will do big than bitcoin did. Sometimes those post are for drawing your attention.

In my view, commodity-backed cryptocurrencies and bitcoin are two totally different types of money. Bitcoin has built-in scarcity, whereas commodity-backed cryptocurrencies, assuming they are legitimate, are subject to external market forces related to the commodities. Offering commodities on the blockchain is thus simply a new way of offering investments in commodities. These are not mutually exclusive investments. So, in short, my answer is no. |

better than bitcoin ?, that's impossible. currently bitcoin is the best and the biggest cryptocurrency ever. will not be another coin that can be better than this. even ethereum and bitcoincash cannot compete with bitcoin

It baffles me when people compare Bitcoin to other coins or say one coin is better than Bitcoin.
Have you taken time to know the possiblities and potentials within Bitcoin? Bitcoin will keep leading while others follows because it has all it takes to be at top. Your Maya coin can't even be compared with ETH let alone Bitcoin.

If we are talking about considerations that are not present in Bitcoin's features, I think there are other candidates better for that but knowing that Bitcoin started all of this, there's a reason why it's always on top and never lower. Considering the volume and the people who are using it, it won't be overcome. It's the basis of all altcoins, based on the price. Bitcoin will always stay on top, but we are never satisfied to up to what extent but for now, it's still the best.
No other cryptocurrencies will exist if it wasn't for Bitcoin. Keep that in mind.

I am agree with you. I am better investing my money in bitcoin because its already proven and having big liquidity in market. Anybody could say this is new bitcoin but its always gone by the time. Bitcoin is safest investment in market, thats why bitcoin had biggest market cap value |

I am agree, its hard to compete with bitcoin because bitcoin is main cryptocurrency in market. Perhaps in next 10 years, bitcoin still dominating market and most investor have big portion on bitcoin in their portfolio |

many say their coin is better than bitcoin. i would not count on that. i think the best investment is directly in bitcoin, but that is just my opinion on the topic. nevertheless, everyone has to decide for themselves which coin to invest in or not. |

Naaa dude. What makes you think that coin is better that bitcoin? First and foremost i think theyre just making hype of that coin. Claiming that it could beat bitcoin inorder to enter the market. Most of altcoin developers aim to out-rank the bitcoin. Honestly its just the hype i think. No altcoin can replace bitcoin. |

no, Bitcoin will always be the number one coin.
Bitcoin is the mother of coins, triggering the birth of coins and tokens which are now called alt coins.
I also advise you to be careful with the autor that writes the ANN threads you mentioned. too much red trust, that means high risk to be trusted.
