He has a slow metabolism and gains weight easily. Just look at him, he still trains hard but he has a lot of fat, especially on face area while Conor McGregor is in a great physical shape (not mentally though).
I've done that during weight loss. I smelled Pizza while being without food for 16 hours. I did that on purpose to improve my self-control. It's a torture

Yeah..  But my point is they're both hard workers.  They train hard and they love to wrestle which makes them hard to win against.

And as you said, Dvalishvilli just has fun with the weight cut...  That means he feels fresh out there.  So I don't think the weight cut affects him much.  The journos are just trying to create some chatter before the event.  

Anyway, after watching the pre fight presser, I feel like Pantoja could win via SUB against Joshua Van.  Should've taken the bet when the line was 3.00.  It's way below that now.  Lol.

Anytime I hear news like this I think about Michael Bisping and how he was fighting everyone with only one eye.
I would take any issue with eyes very seriously if I was in his place, surgery means longer recovery but this also means saving his eye.

I have a feeling that Yan could make a surprise, but my feelings have been mostly wrong recently so not putting any money on that.
I'm tempted to bet on Guskov, as Blachowicz is past his prime, but Jan could still be a tough opponent - he lost to Pereira only by a split decision and Ulberg also couldn't finish him (but won by decision).

Wasn't going to bet on this UFC 323 main event so had not put much thought into the matchups up until the day before the last PPV of the year happens. So here is my limited take of this event in Vegas.

Watched the pre-fight press conference that happened earlier today as it was just going live when I logged into youtube, so I decided why not just see who was fighting who.
Petr Yan was the highlight even though he has no personality whatsoever and not a lick speaking any english.
But his comment about Merab was pure gold, when he mentioned that he sees him with only men in his jacuzzi and never any women.
Merab didn't have a response back and only just kept silent.

Didn't watch the official weigh-ins but seen the results and there was Brunno Ferreira who missed weight by 3 pounds and also Mairon Santos the premiere fight to kick off the early prelims.

Yan might be a better striker than Merab, but I think wrestling will come into play in this fight and Merab will win. Besides, Edson Barbosa is almost 40 years old. People his age are loving their grandchildren, growing potatoes and onions in their gardens. And I think Pantoja is close to finishing Van. So, I'm not expecting many surprises in general...

His trash talks are good but I love aggressive, natural trash talks. His trash talks were pre-made at home and well-planned. Conor's and DDP's trash talks are natural. Conor was a masterpiece of trashtalk. DDP is kind of a guy, like, don't touch me and I won't touch you too but if you touch me, you are dead.

I think that Dvalishvili tries to befriend with Petr Yan but Petr is a very cold hearted towards him and really tries to mock him. Merab is not a guy who deserves that because he is genuinely a very good guy and Petr should be thankful for this fight. Merab will beat him again like he did before but this time he will get a severe brain damage

This guy is crazy. He was in a studio with Daniel Cormier and other guys (I don't know what's the name of that show, I only saw a short video on TikTok) and he was looking like a walking dead because of weight cut. I don't understand how this guy has so much energy. He fired at Petr Yan and his joke was actually funny. Petr told Merab to put women in jacuzzi instead of boys (I agree with that) and then Merab made fun of Petr Yan. Why does Petr Yan live in Thailand? Guess what Merab said... Because of ladyboys
How can anyone hate Merab? He is a very funny and kind guy.

If Merab is having fun during weight cutting or it is a fun process for him, then Yan has posted recently in instagram, that with Gods help he has managed to cut 10,500kg. Imho that is insane and something hard to believe or understand. First of all that is such a chesting if during fight everyone are 1-2 weight class bigger. And secondly that is such a professionalism to make such cuts and still compete on such level. As a regular person, if I had missed breakfast and did not have time for lunch, then in the evening I am half alive and my hands are shaking

Dvalishvilli looked like he's all business during the ceremonial weigh in and he also looked intense during the face off like he can't wait to beat Yan up in the cage.  I wonder what happened to him...  He prolly got a tad offended by Yan's jacuzi joke.

Both champions lost their belts tonight at UFC 323!

Petr Yan dominated Merab for almost all rounds! And Joshua Van had a fluke win with Pantoja suffering from a dislocated shoulder within just 26 seconds into the fight.

Just to top it all off the Jan Blachowicz vs Bogdan Guskov fight ended in a majority draw.
Whenever this happens it is rare and was checking the odds and it was +500 for this match.

My betslip was doing alright for the first six fights up until the Barber fight where I had Silva to win. Then it all went downhill from there with all the rest of my selections losing their fights including Merab Dvalishvili & Alexandre Pantoja who were the favorites being the champions for these co-main and main event bouts.

I feel bad for Pantoja because he couldn't continue the fight after suffering a dislocation when he tried to break his fall. The fight ended in just a few seconds and Joshua Van ended up becoming the new champion. If that incident hadn't happened, the fight would probably have been much more exciting just like the fight between Merab and Yan.

Yesterday I placed a bet on Merab Dvalishvili's win and later added Pantoja into it cause I forgot to include him. So unlucky for me, both of these fighters lost and I also lost my $500. I don't really care about that $500 because that came easily to me but it really made me very sad to see how Merab lost against Petr Yan. Merab is an amazing human being and an amazing fighter as well. He fought like a beast! An amazing performance from Petr Yan too, he is a phenomenal fighter!

I think that the reason why Merab lost was that he tried to box with Petr Yan. C'mon man, why on earth did you decide that? Against Petr Yan? It's like wrestler deciding to box against Topuria or against Pereira. Petr Yan has a great boxing and there is no way for Merab to beat that boxing. If he wrestled against Petr, he would most likely win the match but Petr showed a great defense in this game.

Did you guys notice that Merab got tired in this fight while Yan didn't? I couldn't believe my eyes.

Do you realize what just happened? Yan not just beat Merab, but did it in a way nobody would believe or expect. For Yan, everyone saw only one opportunity to win - by knocking out Merab. Nobody believe that anyone is able to beat cardio-wrestling machine by decision. Yan did that this night. I did not check odds, but Yan winning by decision odds I guess were crazy.

I feel bad for Panjota. Did not expect fight to end like that.

I have always believed this is the way to bet on the UFC because bettors usually always have so much confident in their selections they place their wagers within an acca and pick their fighters all at once so to just set it and forget about it mentality.
Livebetting for this kind of sport is the way to go. Since you can observe how the fight is going and address your bets accordingly from that point on wards.
Just as you had done and it worked out in a great victory win for both you and Petr Yan.

I remember there was a meme on this thread going around about a month or so ago showing Petr in a fairy outfit.

Btw, Cejudo after that loss announced another retirement This is his fourth loss in a row. He is 38 and it is really time for him to end his career. He is better at making podcasts and taking interviews now. Vettori also is having his fourth loss. I guess he will be released after being replaced in top15 by Ferreira.

It was a masterclass fight from Petr Yan. Merab has defended his belt four times in a row, meaning he's cut weight four times in a short period of time. I think Petr Yan has already unraveled him, but even if the rematch is a bit of a stretch, he can still retain his belt. His fighting style is very cool and he hides his energy well. His accuracy was 60%, if I'm not mistaken; such a high accuracy rate is incredible. He also landed more takedowns than Merab. Petr Yan managed five takedowns, while Merab managed two in 29 attempts.

Merab wanted a rematch from the UFC, but he looked really bad at the end of the 5th round. It could take 4-5 months for him to fully recover. If he returns before he is 100% recovered, the chances of him getting another beating are very high...

By the way, did you watch the Iwo Baraniwski vs. Ibo Aslan fight? It was like a bar brawl specially prepared for those who have grown tired of wrestling in recent months. Joking aside, many UFC fans talked about this fight on Twitter...
