Looking forward to the Cyril Gane vs Alex fight. I'll be backing my boy Alex though. Izzy is one of my favourite fighters to have fought in kickboxing and MMA. So, for him to be chased by Alex was incredible, and I always thought Izzy was the better of the two. However, Alex turned me into a massive fan when he came to the UFC, and it would be incredible if he could beat Gane. I do fear the movement of Gane though, I'm a sort of Gane doubter but his movement by be an issue. I'll be betting on Alex whatever the odds though.

Last nights event fell short to be honest. I was expecting more, and we really need to start punishing these fouls. Its getting annoying now. I'm not talking about points I'm talking about just flat out disqualification. I was rooting for Long to be honest, thought he was the better fighter going into the match, but man is he dirty. Kick to the balls multiple times, hitting after the buzzer. Just not a good look, despite being very talented.

^  So disappointed that Aspinall couldn't make it.  But he'll prolly be ready on December.    It only makes the anticipation a lot better. 

Anyway, here are the results.  Some underdogs got through.  Just not the underdog we put some money in.  Lolol.  The main event was kinda meh.  Total domination by Oliveira.

Came here to post this but you beat me to it.

There was a lot of whining from mma fans on X after the card was announced. That's probably because it was not possible to satisfy all the rumours/speculations that were circulating regarding the event. We won't see a return of Jon Jones or Conor McGregor, but I think most realised that was very unlikely to materialise.

Topuria Vs Gaethje is not a surprise, as we all knew that fight would be happening, so why not at the White House event.
Pereira Vs Gane is also a good match-up. The fight is almost guaranteed to be a 100% striking fight, and we're likely to see a KO. I'm really curious how Alex will perform against a bigger opponent.

The choice of opponents for Chandler, O'Malley or Nickal has raised some eyebrows, but it's good enough. It's not the best card in the UFC's history, but I'm looking forward to it.

For over a year, there's been talk of a White House event, and we finally got the announcement... Unfortunately, the UFC gave me that circus feeling again. Anyway, I want to thank Hades, the god of the underworld, for raising Chandler from the grave and sending him here. It must be accepted that he played a really big role in this event...

Charles completely dominated Max. It was a match I didn't expect or predict. I thought Max would win, but I wanted Charles to win. So, I was wrong, but I'm happy with the result...

Last night's card was decent and everybody underestimated Charles in the main event.
But as many had said on here, if it went to the ground then Max had no chance.
Was watching the fight but then lost my reception for the third or fourth round. But I believe that Oliveira took Holloway down each and every round.

The weirdest fight was between Cody Garbrandt vs Xiao Long. Where Cody got a victory when Xiao had several low blows inwhich the referee took two points away from him. They were almost immediately one after another in around less than a minute apart. One of them was so painful that Garbrandt started to throw up in the octagon.
Luckily they had a bucket so it wasn't on the mat.

Had my bstslip almost win except I picked the wrong one with Oliveira becoming the BMP champion.

@rdbase. It was not everyone in this thread who underestimated Do Bronxs. I predicted a victory for him hehehee. However, what I have underestimated was the stamina of Max. I thought that Do Bronxs would cause Max to be very much out of wind and strangle his neck! The body of Max is also appears to be a skeleton of a dead fish if we compare this to the muscles on the body of Do Bronxs.

^  A filler but there are a couple of match ups I'm looking forward to like the Curtis vs Orolbai match up and the Cutelaba vs Sy one.  The latter match up should be another banger.    But the former should be in the main card imho.

How good are you with those degen parlays? Ever managed to get a big win out of few bucks? Why dont you try first your luck in games and rounds UFC predictions? There are lately lots of casinos offer results prediction contest where you have to predict multiple winners to get the prize.

What are your thought on UFC White House hard? Main and co-main events are nice, but the rest... Nickal vs Daukaus? Rising (maybe not ) star vs Mr. who... O'Malleys opponent. Chandler who will lose again. Now, as few days have passed and I have time to think about card; ffs, where are big stars? First ever event at White House and they have made card that is just like average numeral event. It would be a disaster if Gane pokes someone in eyes again and screws event. Trump would kick out Hunter and UFC from States if that happens

Usually one fight always seems like a surprise so these long shots will most likely never hit.
They are fun to watch like seeing your lottery numbers hit on a quick pick ticket but thats about it.
About the White House card, it was abit of head shaking at first but then once you think about it the bouts are not too bad. And yeah, hadn't heard of Suga show's opponent either.

I think it took 30 seconds in first round or less until fight went from vertical position to horizontal. There is even a picture flying in the internet, where Oliveira is on back of Holloway and Max face expression is like "Dude wtf, this is a BMF fight, now a grappling match".

Oliveira won fight in dominant way but lost it in BMF way. For BMF fights they need to add rule that will forbit grappling if it takes 1 minutes already and there is no submission. It will make both fighters risk more, exactly what fans are waiting.

The "10-second rule" in BMF (Baddest Motherf****r) title fights, popularized by Max Holloway, is a voluntary agreement to stand in the center of the Octagon and exchange strikes without grappling, clinching, or retreating during the final 10 seconds of a round. It represents ultimate, fearless "BMF" energy.

I think the lack of wrestling skills among elite fighters like Alex, Max, DDP and JDM should be discussed...

So, imagine you call an electrician to your house, your light bulb and electrical outlet are faulty, but the electrician tells you he can only replace the light bulb. What would you think of that electrician? Would you call that electrician back to your house if you encountered another problem? I wouldn't call that guy an electrician.

I think people had really high expectations and the fighters weren’t on the same page about banging fists and getting beat up. A shame for the fans, but not every fight can be legendary. This belt tries to force epic moments but the fight game just doesn’t work like that.

Also, Charles is a bjj expert, not a wrestler, so as much as he feels like a fish in the water when on the ground, he wasn't particularly famous for his takedown accuracy.
When they had short periods of striking exchanges, Max didn't disappoint, but I expected a bit more from him in terms of defending takedowns. Some of Charles's attempts were not sophisticated or well-timed, he just went for it with pure force.

Anyhow, Oliveira is back in style. If not for the fact that he lost to Topuria and Arman fairly recently, he would be in a good position for a title shot. If Gaethje was to somehow win against Topuria, then who knows, maybe Charles could be next in line, although Arman deserves his chance as well.

These degen parlays are clearly something more like buying small into a memecoin at under 100k market cap and hope it's the next huge runner that'll go over 1 billion USD market cap.  Lolol.  It's a loser's play but it's fun.    If somehow I hit one of these, I'll be happy to share some of the winnings with you guys...  So mark those picks.

As for the White House event, it's fine but pretty disappointed it isn't Topuria vs Pimblett and Pereira vs Aspinall.  And I love the other match ups they got in so far except for the O'Malley vs Zahabi one.

Daukas vs Bo Nickal is a decent match up.  Daukas having a good run on his return in the UFC and Nickal still needing to get more experience in the cage.  I don't mind it.

Diego Lopes vs Steve Garcia is gonna be a baaangeerrr!!!  As you guys already know, I'm a huge Garcia fan but why does the UFC do him bad like this.  Lopes is gonna be a tough one for him.

Ruffy vs Chandler is gonna be another banger.  Chandler is still game to go at it even at his age, while Ruffy...  Before Fiziev I knew he's good but I didn't think he was that good until I saw him finish Fiziev which I am also a huge fan of.

I agree that they don't need to be experts, but they're in a professional environment where it's necessary for them to earn money. So I think your assessment is fair, and I agree that fighters need to know the basics to be able to fight against these fighters who will grapple in every fight. They don't need to be experts, but they need to know enough to be able to beat their opponent.

The financial stability of a fighter is greatly pegged on their capacity to change to the distinct styles of attack that they might face in the arena. Although perfecting the fundamentals of defence is not a requirement at all the fields, perfecting the fundamentals of defence is a vital investment to not have an immediate humiliating loss. Francis Ngannou is back!

After a long absence, Francis is making his mma come-back and will feature in the same card as Rhonda Rousey Vs that Carano girl.
The event will be live-streamed on Netflix.

Ngannou will face Philipe Lins, a 40-year old former UFC fighter with an 18-5 record. I have to say, I had no clue who he was and had to look him up. He must have a talented manager to hook him up with such high-profile fight.
I believe Francis will be 40 later this year, so he doesn't have much time to waste and this is the last call for him to milk his popularity a little bit more before retiring. It could be that Lins is just a starter dish and Ngannou will be aiming to finish his career fighting someone of higher calibre. If so, it won't be anyone with an active UFC contract as Dana White would never allow that. Jon Jones comes to mind, but I'm not sure if he was released by the UFC.
