Welcome to the forum. This is a place where people learn and discuss about BTC.

I find it so hard to use BTC as a payment method. Where do you live? Do you use it online?

Welcome Soartech to the forum, do yourself a favor and get familiar with the written Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ as a default in any of these rules will lead to either getting your account temporary or permanent ban. Also you should skimmed through the unwritten rules (Discussion about acceptable and unacceptable behavior. Community values. DT) as these are the reasons most DT members leave negative tags on offenders. You should avoid default on any of the rules to keep your account safe from ban and red trust as you enjoy your stay on forum, welcome.

You’re doing right in pointing to those threads, although if you think about it, trying to be objective, the welcome redirects you to 33 different rules and some weird stuff about DT which the majority of accounts will not have a clue as to what it is (even after browsing through the referenced DT thread).

For a real Newbie, it may be a bit overwhelming, and even off-putting, but I guess it’s better to be safe than sorry, as we know from the amount of rule breaking that goes on leading to bans. I do believe that this kind of information could be provided by the forum in an initial (opt-in) welcome message upon registration, but then again, the rules and such are not official, and to push a message they would have to become so.

In any case, the OP states that he has already created a few accounts here (rings a bell …), so with any luck he should have seen at least the rules, and by experience, know a bit about the forum do’s and dont’s.

I currently live in Singapore, the laws are not too restrictive in the case of crypto as there are numerous crypto ATMs scattered around the island. I tend to use bitcoin as a payment method because PayPal is complete and utter garbage, I've lost $3,000+ to unwarranted limitations and shadowbans. I've genuinely pledged that I will NEVER use PayPal, so crypto is the next best thing other than bank transfer in my location of residence.

Welcome to the forum.
Your name sounds interesting to me especially "tech" word in it. Since you already lurking here and using Bitcoin as payments for a long time so most of newbies advice are not valid to you. But still I suggest you to know the rules before posting.
