Around 12 thousand dollars seems like the possible price for now isn't it? I mean there is a movement going on still but above 12 thousand dollars would require a lot of capital from the whales and they would have to buy out a lot of sell orders to break that which I am not saying won't happen but it doesn't look like it will be easy so saying 12 thousand dollars is the easy way out.

Of course, considering the 2020 halving maybe some reactions will start during November and December in which case I have no idea how high it could get. We have been talking about the halving so long that I have no idea how big it will be or how small it will be. Maybe it will be like 35k or maybe max at 15k who knows maybe it won't even go up.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

By the end of this year, Bitcoin price will be strong at 10-12K USD I believe! Most of the potential altcoins price will be strong too but BTC dominance may surpass 60%! We may have some great IEO project at the end! Even the ICO market can boost up again.
Like you said, that will only be possible based on bull run which I don’t think we can see any bull run that is more than thiscurrent movement this year. We need to stop expecting the big bubble of 2017, and get use to the slow and steady increase of this year uptrend which I think and believe this is how we will continue to increase until maybe high percentage of people decide to sell off their investment coincidentally.

If we are to experience any abnormal surge, that will be because of the next halving and I am still watching and waiting for Litecoin halving that will happen in too month’s time to have a clue on how people will respond to that of Bitcoin come next year.

At the moment I'm not bothering my self with such guessings and speculations. Bitcoin is unpredictable and price change is under many influences. This almost a half year period and for Bitcoin this is a very long time. I'm more focused on current situation and how to get the best from the current price movements.
I would just add, don't expect too much and too high price range this year, you might get disappointed.

I think it depends on if another rally happens or not. Bitcoin price is fragile right now and it could be affected by anything so we are not really sure about what will happen so anything said on this topic is purely speculations and assumptions. The reality is that if someone with a lot of bitcoin sells their coins then the price will fall but if we collectively start to rally again then we can go up too.

My only hope is that there is a halving coming up next year and the difficulty of mining is going up again so combining those two facts together the miners will not be selling for cheap which could increase the price a lot, since there won't be many sellers at these prices the amount is given to increase. However remember last time we fell, the difficulty dropped as well which is why anything could happen.

By the end of 2019 the price will be significantly lower than it is now.

Aren't you the knucklehead telling everyone not to buy bitcoin when the price was sub $500?
Yeah, you and Warren Buffet can take your fucked opinions and advice and stick it up your asses.

That's really a question of month, where will price go after so many dump/rises? Can't understand when to sell, one day price is 13K, another day it's 10K, then same happens and it's like nonstop. Logically price doesn't have to go down because we recovered from serious fall, it had to create positive feeling among bitcoin users and seems it was like that when price reached 13K at first this year but then somehow fall happened, as we see bitcoin still tries to recover and get up to 13K, from current statistics we can really say that this coin fights to rise, so I think we will finally see price to be higher than 13K by the end of 2019.

It will be better than what it was last year. No particular price in mind though for me.
If we can be able to pass through without much panic sell, FUDs or any downsizing speculation; then it will be fine.

Another thing I'm hoping we don't encounter at the closing of the end of the year is whale manipulation.

And yet you think the community should be deprived of "one of the best indicators"?

it's true, we need more contra indicators, not less.

i only wish we could bring back electricmucus, kwukduk, matthecat, and other perma bear trolls too. they're always loudest at the bottom. get em all screaming for doom at the same time and you've got yourself a strong buy signal!

Those guys are probably hanging in the closet. If Proudhon had any self respect he'd be there too.

Why would I punish myself for being one of the most consistently correct predictors (based on confirmed facts and data analysis factors) in bitcoin, maybe of anything in the history of the world?

Bitcoin Fact: the price of bitcoin will not be greater than $70k for more than 25 consecutive days at any point in the rest of recorded human history.

Hi Bitcointalk!

Curious to know your predictions on pricing, new projects, news and whatever else may be significant to Bitcoin by the end of the year.

 Smiley

Here are my predictions, for the situation by the end of this year (2019).

1. The exchange rate for BTC may hover around $40,000 per coin.
2. The transaction fee may increase to somewhere around $10 on average (BTC0.00025 per transaction).
3. Bitcoin dominance may increase to somewhere around 75%
4. BCH will rise to no.4 position displacing LTC
5. Tether will be among the top 5 coins by market cap

With the present situation, and the way the market is responding, even though we don't set all time high this year, Bitcoin will still get to $16000-$17000 by the end of this year but will accumulate around $8000 -$10000 for long period
