If you are new to telegram then try to visit my blog and read about it as there are many scammers on telegram who will try to scam you, so better you should know what to do on telegram and where to look for help or how to contact the admin.

Blog about Telegram scammer
Edit: The purpose of this post is to spread awareness so I will copy the content from my blog if anyone doesn't want to visit it.

Be aware of Telegram scammers

In cryptocurrency, there are many scammers who take advantage of innocent people because scammer knows that they will easily be scammed and all the blame will be on that project where he or she was being scammed.

So the purpose of writing this blog is to inform everyone, who want to be part of the cryptocurrency. There are many good cryptocurrency projects out there where you can invest and take advantage but you have to be careful because it is not the projects that have a flaw but it is our unawareness that will lead us to people who are basically out there to scam new users, because cryptocurrency is the implementation of decentralized system replacing the old centralized system.

Telegram is the source that many cryptocurrency projects are taking as a way of communication and trying to help there members and also to build an active community. The purpose of the Telegram group is to help and respond to every question that a new or old client has and to inform about there upcoming projects. But in Telegram, I have noticed that people complain about being scammed and they always blame the project for it and never think about it that it is there mistake, as they don't know how telegram work, that leads them to scammers.

Using the app is not so hard but it is really easy to deceive a new Telegram user because anyone can change his name in Telegram and can contact the other and introduce himself as being the admin or responsible of that project. But we never pay attention to the Telegram app, because there are ways we can avoid being scammed. So how to get avoid being scammed by those people.

What we should do when we join a group.

  • Always check the pinned message that will help you with. As it has all the detail about the project and you can find most information in it.

    https://[Suspicious link removed]/p/SaWanc
  • The admin of the group will always have an "admin" tag with his name.
  • If an unknown person contacts you better not to respond or report him as spam.https://drive.google.com/file/d/1w91_8ybhk2spKT_0sXjfSwRgUQ5oaWsi/view?usp=sharing
  • As in the pinned message, they have always written that the " admin will never contact you first" which mean that if a direct message you got from anyone in the Telegram and claim to be the admin, he is truly a scammer, so never respond to such messages and also report them as spam.
  • If you want to contact the admin the best way is to approach him or her by following these steps. 1. open the telegram app and tap into the group and find the admin with the tag "admin" 2.Click on there photo 3. Then click on "send message".
  • Always use the app or main site to send or receive money if anyone even the admin ask you, which they will never do, to send money to a specific wallet id never ever do it because once your transaction is confirmed no way to claim it back.

I am a big fan of cryptocurrency and just here to support it.

Thanks buddy!
Anyway  making a list for telegram scammers is one huge prospective study that's never gonna end. The feature that allows you to change usernames at anytime even makes it worse. Anyway my advice to everyone, report first to telegram if you suspect scams. The more bans we serve them, the more frustrated they become.

If that telegram user is a scammer and you know it then you should report that user right away and I also created a thread to prevent random telegram users from adding you to random groups without your consent. It happens to me everytime before I find out that you can prevent it. Here's the thread link https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5072351.

I never think about the scammers because I always rejected the message from someone which I don't know. I only receive a message for people who I believe, and the rest will be on my blacklist Grin

I have a bad experience in a few months ago using telegram because one or two groups were spammed me about unknown information which I don't need and I leave the groups, but some message still sends on my PM. I blocked that person so he cannot send any message to me until now.

Telegram has become a new way of scamming people but after using it for some time anyone will understand how scammers try to scam them. Also, mostly I think we should the people who sent us random messages and concentrate mostly on our work it is just a waste of time to reply to them.

Good one. I have seen some users earlier trying to scam earlier by faking a name from team and posting the ethereum address. Still it was hard to believe that people fall for this. Do they still now? Interesting  Cry

Lots of people have been scammed through telegram and we all need to be careful and always report any unsolicited PMS on our telegram and the change of username at will on the platform have made it very hard for one to trace scammers because they can easily change the username to whatever they want after scamming you and dellet chat both from they end and your end also.

most peoples were scammed on telegram just for incompetence or superficiality.
In most cases, it should be sufficient to double check the cheater userrname to understand it!
and more,
if someone were offering you a too high ROI or reward or business, maybe it could be a scam!

Just understand that nobody will offer you any free money or great discounts and deals over telegram and you will be fine. Don't respond to PMs that offer such things and instead report them for spam.

When you join a new Telegram group you are likely to get contacted by a scammer pretending to be an admin or support member asking you if you need help, have you invested in their token or offering you a discount on something. It is a lie!

No admin or support personnel will PM you first and if you read the sticky threads in many groups you will see exactly that. A notification that admins never contact people over PM first. You are the one who needs to initiate the chat if you need help.

You can always assess yourself if the person you are talking to is a legitimate member of that project. If you can see an admin tag on their chat, they are legit. But, what you need to worry are those people that will DM you in order to scam you. Remember that admins on projects will not talk to you directly since it is against on their code.

Better yet always check their username as telegram only just allow one username and can't copy it. Though at least just report it spam and don't waste time talking to them.

Like it's just simple but Idk why people still fall for this scam attempt. Perhaps greed or just plain ignorant.

It's very simple to understand if you know how technology works and especially if you knew how the platform works. Some scammers just alter the names of admin for example: r1a2y3m4 and some scammers will alter 1 with !, a with @.

TELegram.is a good.tool.to keep.us in chat with the other applicants. Telegram features has made it quciker since most of the investors are here in telegram. And then it was a choice.and hoping that those WITH telegram will going to HACE AN uPgrade ON it features like not altering a forwardeD PM' already. i bet that this is not beig done by other user because of thei hectic schedule.

this is the common behaviours!
usually, scammers, do not have a telegram username.
They leave the field empty. It's possible to set up a blank username.
This is the first clue of scam!
Yeah I will agree in your update working.on it.hopefull that changes might be join to the post. As I have seen and observe when one in a hurry then still one couls go post becausw early in the morning has been a quite multi tasking.

if you use telegram from a long time I think it is impossible to scam those people but if you just joined the app then there may be chances that you will be scammed as you don't know much about telegram at that time and if a scammer contacts you, he will give you a really good offer that you will somehow accept. Whenever any scammer contacted me they didn't leave the username blank but instead, they miss spell the admin name.
As an example if the admin name is "Wallo" so the scammer, first of all, use the same picture to try to convince you that you saw him in the group 2nd he will use the name like "Walo" or name other small changes they if you don't focus you will think they are real.

As I've said, it's very simple to understand if you know how the platform works. But, we can't deny those people that are gullible enough for them to realize that they are being scam by an "admin."
