I have noticed that there two kinds of persons in poker gambling (when it refers to profits)

1._ The hit and run ones
2._ The ones who uses the money earned on previous bets to hunt for a bigger reward

What's your kind?

I'm a type of poker player which uses money earned from previous bets. I do this to minimize the risk of losing my capital so I can play to the next day. It's too hard for me to be a hit and run ones because when you feel the momentum of your luck; it's hard to resist playing unless you really have a good control which most likely doesn't work when you're already in that situation.

A bit of both. I may be cautious about my winnings on some gambling games but in poker I sometime become
confident that I can win more. since it's poker(specifically texas hold'em) and I have a lot of knowledge to the game
I am able to exploit the advantages of it(bluffing etc..). although I don't always win it still worth it.

About that 2 options, i am hit and run player. Because sometime i play and afraid to lose, so when i win or lose, usually i leave the game and maybe take a rest. And then start again in next day.

I feel you bro. I'm more of option #1, too—a hit and run player. I know to myself and honestly admitted that I don't like the feeling of losing. It gives me frustration and regret. So whenever I have that drive to gamble, and whenever I win big, then I prefer to walk out immediately and enjoy what I gained before something change my mind that'll trigger me to bet again and again until I have lost everything.
I am not a good poker player but Poker is not a rocket science as well. If you try to learn how to play poker, with practice, you would be able to achieve the level you want to. In addition, you need to be rational by which I mean relying on your skills and the probability if making something happen. Do not think about Luck coming and saving you. This would be foolish. The richest men in Poker are the guys who worked on their weak ones.

You lose most of the times and yet haven’t resolved to stop playing, I am always surprised at reasons why people gamble, a game that is designed for people to lose their money, How do you guys continue playing even when the game stops being fun? I keep wondering why anyone would stick with a game that is not profitable, all because they keep on hoping for tomorrow, this is quiet ridiculous

I don’t believe in being any type of player, thank God I don’t gamble and from all I have seen, it’s a total waste of time. Are some people just unlucky in this gambling than the others or are they just so bad at calculating their odds?

If that pattern works for you in minimizing your loses then it cool for you and I call that wisdom, in gambling, different people with what works for them, I am far from this strategy knowing that I would be heading for my doom if I ever put this to try.

I am that type of player that might win a game and stop playing for a long while before returning back as a result of fear of the unknown. I won $100 dollars from one of those sites and I haven’t played again since then, its over 3months already and I have no hope of winning again when I return back but I would at least be happy I spent the little one I won well.

I have a general impression about gambling that one of the hallmarks about this game is its uncertainty. So for such, luck would always be effective, so be it poker or whatever as long as it has the name gambling attached, there would always be people who are dependent on luck and we can’t blame them or tag them for been foolish.

I would never think of devising method to play gambling, and I don’t believe in skill even though I know quiet alright that poker is more of a skill based type of game. This is because of the mindset that gambling is more of a game of entertainment and luck, so I feel there is no necessity for skills in gambling.

All in when the good card is good strategy but don't get too confidence the opponent might have the better card. Smiley But I am not good at poker and will never try to get in more money on that game.

More of a fish myself that forgets everything in 3 seconds.

I literally forget about what the other person raised or even if he checked and what not on the next card opening. Like say the three cards are opened and dude raises 1 dollar and my turn I call then the fourth card is opened and I don't even remember that 1 dollar raise. I do not play to win though so it might be the reason, I play because I have super fun and poker is something you can play with your friends at home, that is the good part.

You can't play slots with your friends, neither blackjack unless one becomes the house, you can't play dice neither since the best case you can is 2 options of winning or losing. Basically all I do is I call up my friends and play together and have fun, nobody cares about the game itself.

I think I'm at the middle or should I say I'm both of them? I'm always a hit and run, once there is a win that I'm okay with, I just quit (and if I'm losing, I just quit… I Don't take too much loss). Then I also like to play with the money that I won from gambling. Assuming I played with my own money and win, I take out my money first of all and then start to play with the money that I won from the gambling site. Well, the thing is that I'm always being careful, I don't like being the one that's losing to a gambling site, I can't be taking that risk.

Hit and run type, I love making money with so much patience put on it, whenever I win I pause a moment and if things still continues by my hand the I go play along. If not I stop playing and savor the current winnings.

You need to learn to poker game especially the strategies and tricks involvement will enable to win easily only if you try to learn these strategies. When you understand it fully then you will see how you play poker with results but it comes after a long practice especially hard practice with great minds. If your competitors or opponents are well experienced then you will feel no pressure in playing with normal ones.

If you are the type that hates to lose then I can tell that you are not a good gambler or not fit to be a gambler at all. Aside gambling, I think it’s very good for everyone to learn how to handle lose, because no matter how careful we feel we can be, we would always encounter loses. Either in business or different spheres of life, but it’s good to see it as a stepping stone to greatness instead of feeling frustrated and unhappy.

I don’t even know the very category I belong, either the hit and run or the one that uses proceeds from previous bets, I think it just depends on my playing mood per time. There are times I would play and rest for a while, other times play from rewards in the last play, but either ways I am never scared of losing.

This is the basic agenda every one will follow because most of the people will leave the table when they made the profit, even there is no guarantee whether you will make a continuous profit, based on the cards and bluffing will make you win in poker.

I am more of a hit and run type when I play. Those who hunt for bigger rewards are probably the same people who are either take gambling too seriously or addicted to gambling.

Disagree with you mate, those who hit and still continue for rewards are not those who are addicted to gambling. Being in the gambling industry now, i hardly hit and run, rather hit and continue for more rewards in as far there is self control involve. I aim for rewards doesn't make me addicted to gambling if there is self control.
Just do not get addicted to it but I will tell you Poker is one of the best game in gambling industry with huge revenue around the game and this automatically makes poker a tough to play game but it is very possible to learn how to play Poker. You could be a best Poker player if you put in your time and yeah some money and learn about your weak zones and work on them. The richest of gamblers in the world have been Poker players.
Poker is not close to been the best at all and when you talk about betting with high revenue, I think sports betting should come first. And to mention the richest gamblers, I think you didn’t do a proper research on that. I don’t know if you have heard of Billy Walters, He is one of the richest gambler and most feared gamblers, and he is from sport betting, well I am just this hard on poker games because it never favored me the times I was playing.

Then I was such a devoted player that would use money from the last win to start hunting for more games so as to get bigger rewards but all efforts to achieve this was fruitless. I sat down one of the days to calculate all the loses I had made and then I quickly resolved to changing to another type of gambling.

Haha that sounds a bit funny in a foolish way or allow us to call such a player an irresponsible fool. Never mind I am kidding. I think this is what everyone passes through. I believe this is a phase and which makes you good at gambling by eventually understanding what is going on and makes you able and efficient in formulation of strategies that could block your opponent.

You are a very smart player, that way, even when you lose, it wont hurt you so badly since you know the money lost is from the gambling site, at least you already withdrew what you invested. I think we should all learn how to become wise players like you are because it hurts me seeing how people lose all their money to different casino sites on daily bases.

Those players who bet from money earned to hunt for bigger rewards will always think they are smart but at the end, they will still lose the money again and then start investing their personal income. There is no gain in gambling.

Hit and run is the best all day. That’s me exactly.  Gambling game is too uncertain and cannot be like other types of trading so it will be too risky to take money from whatever amount that has been earned, that is if you ever earn a dime. It looks like people who make money in gambling have a secret they have refused to share because with the efforts I have put in gambling for years now, its quiet questionable to ask why I have never made money

I am still gambling and having fun while I wait for the day I will hit and run, in short the right word should be flee. I hope I win big so I can run and stop playing.

You have a very good question there bro and I will like to answer the first by saying that no one is unlucky in gambling, everyone would be lucky but can never be at the same time. It brings me back to the old times when I was an offline gamer, I saw my friends who always won but it never got to my turn, at some point I was considering quitting until a friend advised me never to give up that my time will come but meanwhile I should only ply with caution which I did, years later it happened and it was big

Secondly, there are people who are really bad at calculating their odds and majority will never see any good reason to improve it and they will only depend on luck which is also bad.
